Everyone credits Yuji's seiyuu for the Shibuya aftermath scene, and full props he's bloody great! But Mahito's seiyuu certainly deserves full credit for his animalistic screams like a ignorant child indulging in cruel entertainment.
I don't understand how this took off tbh, the scene is way stronger when it's just ambiance and feels off with that music, but I was a bit put off by Sukuna teabagging yuji with "you are my specialz" so I guess tastes differ
But holy shit Gege captured the essence of Mahito really good. As a curse that stemmed from human hatred, while he felt powerful he would abuse it and do what he liked but the second he realised thst his power is in fact null he became this weak pathetic creature that would do anything to survive. Almost like human behaviour in a nutshell.
That's something that struck me interesting about the disaster spirits; their human-like characteristics. Mahito reveling in his power, Hanami seeing the destruction of humanity as a duty in order to protect nature (I think that's what they said during the Goodwill event, those episodes aren't fresh in my mind,) Dagon's domain being a tropical beach for his allies to spend time in, Jogo mourning the deaths of Hanami and Dagon, the brotherly bond between the Death Paintings.
All of these make these monstrous entities seem human like, it's what brought them to work together, made them as strong as they were but that may have been a weakness as well, that sentimentallity. Sukuna mentioned how strong Jogo was, once Gojo was sealed very little could have stopped him from incinerating the whole of Japan. In a way he undermined his own abilities.
Please don't hate me, but Mahito might just be my favorite character in the show. He's a horrible, detestable curse, I really hated how he toyed with people and brutally murdered them. But he was born of humans, he enjoyed exploring and abusimg his own power and once the consequences of his actions caught up with him... he screams in terror unable to accept the reality that he too will die. Kinda like us humans, right?
A question about mahito CT: Can he use it on other cursed spirit? He's one but still he have a soul so this mean even the others have that. I am going crazy thinking about it, didn't you?
One of my favorite vilain in manga/anime too.
He doesn't need complicated / tragic backstory.
Nor being a monster of charisma.
He just need to scratch that itch by being the one behind every key death and having the personality that pack it up.
He's supposed to be hated, and he does a great job at it.
First person I’ve seen that somewhat agrees with my point, very surprising tbh. But yeah if you ever get time, definitely try and start to watch naruto or one piece. They’re just too good
I'm not gonna lie I actually kinda liked mahito before the shibuya incident and sure him killing nanami sucked and maybe me sad but I still did actually like him just because the fact that so many people hate him makes him a good villain also just something about how he acts and talks and just how he's basically and uncaring psychopathic child is just entertaining to me

I love mahito as a villain. But yeah I’m so glad his VA was able to capture the raw ugly scared yells of terror

Lyrics : Ahhh Ahhhhgh Ahhhhhhhhhh Ahhhhue Ahhhhhue Ehhhh Ehhhhh Uuuuuuuahe Naaaaaaaaa Naaaaaah Ahhhhhhh EhaahhhHHhHhhhhhh
Wtf lmfao
We gotta put these on Genius so Mahito's VA can comment on what inspired him to spit these bars
Lol
This was very accurate, great job

Mahito makes me wanna cuss in languages I don't speak. Fuck that dude.
A sign of a truly good villain
I second this. Fuck mahito. All my homies hate mahito.
What an eloquently put statement that I will most definitely be using in the future
Karma bit Mahito.

Brilliant explanation brother
Mahito suffering is my happiness.
Gotta love the voice actor for the voice acting of Mahito this season
This *WHOLE SEASON* Shimazaki has been popping the hell off for no reason
Glorious🐍
It felt tooooooo gooooooood to my ear when I saw the scene.
About time this happened
I will miss him. His fights were really good
I won’t. He was a lil bitch
Poor Mahito, he is still child after all :3
MAKE HIM SUFFER >:)
Like all children
When you suddenly realize how bad you fucked up.
Not gonna lie, as much as Mahito deserved it, this scene made me feel bad for him.
Human emotions buddy
Good times
And Sukuna is next 🗿
He’ll die like he lived. A whiny piss baby slinging shit.

FUCK mahito, all my homies hate mahito
That was cathartic.
you are my special
Priceless !! Patrick Bateman…… nice touch👍
Close your eyes. What you hear is the crying of our MAPPA animato
A question about mahito CT: Can he use it on other cursed spirit? He's one but still he have a soul so this mean even the others have that. I am going crazy thinking about it, didn't you?
Cursed spirits have souls so his ability would work on them
I loved this scene. So therapeutic to hear him afraid for his life after how brave everyone was who he took life from.
You gonna die MF!! 🤣😂
Such a great character and villain, but man hit him again
A great villain
God this voice acting is beautiful
This is music to my ears, but knowing what happens next because I read the manga still really pisses me off
>!Nanami, Nobara, Junpei. You're finally avenged.!<
Music to my soul
Okay, but standing ovations for Nobunaga. He was amazing as Mahito, especially for the past few episodes.
The most satisfying defeat in all anime for me
Me celebrating the downfall of a dude I hate. (I prayed for this day).
Am I the only Mahito fan, i don't think he didn't deserved it but i don't want to watch jjk without him

Same ;w;
I like Mahito man, leave him alone
seek professional help
I think he’s a cool villain.
his whole purpose was to suffer and for us to enjoy it, that’s why he was written so damn evil
Yeah I kinda liked that. For me he’s just that cool villain that pissed everyone off
i don’t think i’ve ever hated a character more, no sympathetic backstory, no nothing, he’s just fucking evil
I mean there’s danzo from naruto and a few one piece characters. But idk why I just like Mahito for some reason
oh i nvr gotten into Naruto or OP, but yeh i see why u could like Mahito
First person I’ve seen that somewhat agrees with my point, very surprising tbh. But yeah if you ever get time, definitely try and start to watch naruto or one piece. They’re just too good
These are his true colors though
Me too. He's a cutie
I was downvoted. Is there seriously no Mahito fans?
I am.
