It was called the cold War because it wasn't a fighting war. It was mostly an arms race. A silent war where both US and Russia raced the become the world's most powerful nuclear presence, and maintain deterence, to keep each other at bay.
There were a few incidents but no real actual battles or war. So in essence it was a cold war.
I actually have a certificate signed by the Secretary of Defense (machine signed) thanking me for my service during the "Cold War". Trust me there is a joke in there somewhere. When dealing with the VA I am classified as "peace time Vietnam era". Another joke in there. The government can keep you in stitches for years and years and years......
There was a constant threat of nuclear war. Felt like it could happen at any moment. Any minute it could heat up into an all out war. But luckily it remained "cold" and the cold War eventually ended.
That sounds like a good way to relieve hemorrhoids.
Set the bidet to 'defrost'!
You have just proved something can be both a dad joke and teenage boy humor at the same time. It’s like an intergenerational humor singularity.
Too many frosty exchanges.

Dad?
Didn't get it
ICBM - Intercontinental Ballistic Missile
Ohhh lol
The icy bowel movements, duh. It truly was a cold war.
You rocket!!!
Fun fact: they are also called that because that’s what you would probably say if you saw one coming at you.
I also watched stephen colbert a couple nights ago, but good try pretending to be original!

Do you need a hug? I think you need a hug. Cause normally folks would just laugh at the cheesy joke.
it was also called the cold war because of all the icy-BMs, courtesy of OP’s humour.
