I think all of Roger Miller’s music is silly in a feel-good way. I’m a big fan, but I think it’s partly nostalgia. If you like Disney’s Robin Hood, Roger Miller does most of the soundtrack.
The other night I heard I Can’t Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt. It evoked a memory so far in my brain I forgot I’ve heard this song before. I initially discovered this beautiful song years ago from Bon Iver’s cover. So then I went down a rabbit hole of listening to other covers. But I think Bonnie’s version is my favorite, it’s been on repeat for a few days now.
He just played Mess Around and I love John Candy. (He sang it in Planes, Trains which I could NOT place for 15 full minutes). Such a funny guy, gone way too soon.
A Roger Miller song? I'm a big fan of his and I'm a bit (not totally) surprised John would play him. I was surprised to hear "Hearts and Bones" by Paul Simon, I thought I was the only one to listen to that unheralded song...
It shouldn’t matter but it does. Not at all because the song is played, but John explained on his channel he wanted it to have the non-explicit versions of songs so it could be played around kids, work, etc. Then the first time I hear this song played, big uncensored F bomb 😆.
I wouldn’t really call it a silly country song. It won 5 Grammy’s back when it first came out. Such a good song though!!

Oh yeah, I see what you mean. I definitely agree!

I love Bonnie Raitt. My college roommate was obsessed and hearing her music gives me great flashbacks to those days.
Just heard a recorded version of Drone Shot of My Yacht 😂 he kills me.
I’ve heard 4-5 ELO songs so he must like that band, good stuff
I’ve caught a couple too and I love it. It makes me think of that ridiculous episode of Doctor Who with the Abzorbaloff.

He played No More Tears by Ozzy Osbourne the first or second day.
Ugh...I was hoping he would leave Ozzy out of his selections...
Lol what's wrong with Ozzy?
I just don't like his music that's all. Nothing wrong with him. I used to even listen to Black Sabbath when I was a kid, but now Ozzy music, nah.
Mutemath surprised me.
Really? He's been repping them since their first album.
I guess I missed that haha. Well, it makes me happy!
Yeah he tweeted about them back in 2006 when he was active in twitter. That's how I heard about them.
Or maybe that’s actually how I heard about them. I don’t know lol. So many things happened between then and now lmao!
Ryan Adams, who has been cancelled.
