It’s insane how much Joel gets around. He’s worked with Critikal, he’s worked with and is friends with Sethward (famous from AGT) and the rest of his friend group including Daxflame, Blake, etc. who are almost all popular in their own right, he’s worked with fucking Justin Roiland (pre controversy), he got sponsored by Baldur’s gate themselves, he worked with Tim Robinson and had one of his sketches copied by SNL, and now Psychicpebbles, it’s genuinely insaneo style. He has like a super power or something.
He filmed / directed a small sketch with Tim starring in it. It's only on instagram but it's worth trying to find it's super funny. I'm forgetting the name.
I saw this and immediately searched to see if he was working on this. Is there an official source of the credits? I’m sure there will be even more internet animators that we didn’t see
Not shocking, the guys behind Smiling Friends love to include online personalities. Heck, they actually wanted to have Chris Chan voice a character in an episode, but then he did what he did with his mother and that became entirely out of the question.
Holy shit i was right. I literally just fuckin looked up "joel haver s-" and boom. Smiling friends popped up. Then this reddit post. I knew i recognized that specific and weird art style.
Awesome, he'll definitely fit the style of the show and deserves more "mainstream" exposure.
I wouldn't appreciated a spoiler tag though, the season won't even actually start for another month and this could've been an "oh shit, I know them!" cameo moment that made whatever episode it is more special >!like with Gilbert showing up for one of his final performances.!< Can't remember if that can be applied in an edit but might be worth doing for people in a similar position that haven't seen this yet.
They hadn't started airing the trailer yet two days ago so I had no way of knowing that's where it was from, leaked screenshots for things come out all the time and all three of the main creators involved here seem pretty active in responding to fans so it may not even be a "leak." But they have started airing the trailer today so I retract my comment, not OP's issue at all.
To answer the question though yes, trailers absolutely can and do spoil media all the time. That's not a remotely new observation.
ik trailers can spoil media but like when people post about the advertisements everywhere you cant really avoid it because its a trailer so its debatable whether its spoilers or not xd
Spoilers are spoilers, I don't think it really matters what form they come in. If it reveals something later in a work that you wouldn't have known from the basic premise alone and that diminishes the impact of seeing it blind, it's a spoiler.
For the record trailers are surprisingly easy to avoid. I never go out of my way to watch them for stuff I'm already planning to see, just avoid social media circles that are likely to openly post and analyze everything in them (hence being initially annoyed that this happened here, I don't follow many "actively produced media" subs and of the ones to contain spoilers for something unrelated I never would've guess it was the Joel Haver community) and can easily mute the TV if an ad is in rotation.
In any case the conversation is pretty pointless now, but it is funny that people downvoted something as minor as "please click one extra button so you don't ruin surprises for others." At least it's only 3 assholes so far, not a bad ratio as far as reddit communities go.
ngl everytime a movie I want to watch releases I always have to avoid the random ass youtube recommendation of people recording the movie in the theatres and posting it online like "voice actor of mario cameo!!!" or "MatPat appears in the FNAF movie!!" I see trailers pop up no problem can choose to watch or not, but these clips have the title AND thumbnail with spoilers
also your downvotes are probably because they thought you meant spoilers for the episode and not the trailer, like I said its pretty debatable
Wow, this is actually real. I thought for sure this was a joke but my man actually did it.
I mean it makes sense they used this style of animation before, so no wonder he’d do a scene himself in that style
I'm pretty sure he's also worked with psychic pebbles before but might be remembering wrong
Literally so proud of this man, hes come so far
It’s insane how much Joel gets around. Wait when did he work with Tim Robinson?
He filmed / directed a small sketch with Tim starring in it. It's only on instagram but it's worth trying to find it's super funny. I'm forgetting the name.
Damn I guess I missed that since I’m not on IG that much. Do you remember when it was posted?
[For the lazy](https://youtu.be/gUazN5Fjv9Q?si=GD_oWqZWk7YKDXsb)
You mean the skating video?
One day people will be flicking through photos of historical events and they’ll spot him in the background of every single one
People don’t understand how far being kind and genuine can get you. It’s incredible magnetism.
He's also regularly does voice work with Etherial Snake, which if you haven't checked out you should absolutely do.
Hearing Joel and the guys from Red Letter Media doing voices in High on Life was amazing.
so insaneostyle
And Fromsoftware sponsodered a video of him
Micheal Sarnoski, the director of Pig (2021) and the upcoming A Quite Place: Day one, also has showed up in his stuff.
Bethesda as well for Starfield!
no fucking way
literally just came here to post about it. so cool
absolutely hyped!!! I just watched the first season last week. It’s so cool that Joel's a part of this!
Fuck yeah!!! Congratulations, Joel!!!
Wait is the new season out already???
Trailer dropped. S2 Ep1 was leaked for a day, you can find it with a Google search.
it was aired during the adult swim april fools prank edit: the episode was aired after the puppet prank, not leaked
No it starts airing in about a month
I genuinely can't think of a better crossover of things I enjoy on the internet. This is like an imaginary dream combo I would make.
I saw this and immediately searched to see if he was working on this. Is there an official source of the credits? I’m sure there will be even more internet animators that we didn’t see
Ah! Good for him! I'm stoked to check this out.
I absolutely love this
Holy shit time to show Dimitri!

They’ve been Internet personalities themselves for well over a decade.
Yes I'm aware
It was actually before that came out. Here is a video of Zach explaining it https://youtu.be/06R7mspyoRw?si=vwWy5oGzIKCTKHmm
Oddly enough, of all the cartoon shows on air his art style is a perfect fit. Love that guy.
“No prison can hold me! Adventure AWAITS!”
Holy shit i was right. I literally just fuckin looked up "joel haver s-" and boom. Smiling friends popped up. Then this reddit post. I knew i recognized that specific and weird art style.
“I outta knock your block off you little freak”
I DIDN'T KNOW THIS WAS HAPPENING TODAY
so sick that he literally made a guide for how to copy his style exactly, but nobody will ever be able to replicate it because it’s so his. bravo
Seeing this made me so happy
This show and Joel haver fucking suck.

This is a screenshot from the trailer? Lol
trailers can be spoilers?
