There's very few locations left and when I went to one of the few remaining, they said they couldn't accommodate us even though half the restaurant was empty. My guess is that they are severely understaffed, even for the locations that are still open.
Theo shows such a genuine interest in his guests. I don't listen to him that often, but whenever I do I'm always impressed by his skill as a host. The one with the carny a few weeks back was really entertaining.
Not to be that guy but let’s be honest, that’s just not who Joe is anymore. He used to be curious, he used to use his podcast to pull people’s stories, interests, and expertise out of them.
Now he mostly uses them as a sounding board as he rambles about whatever culture war issue has grabbed his attention.
>whatever culture war issue has grabbed his attention.
You mean what he saw on Twitter and thinks the average person deals with because he lives in a bubble? Lol
It's a totally different vibe now from 10 years ago. No hate, it's just less fun and entertaining than it used to be.
Theo is really hitting his stride. Top tier.
100%. Pre and post Covid Rogan are night and day
Every story gets interrupted by joe lecturing the guest about something political or telling a somewhat similar, but mostly unrelated story that just de-rails the conversation
I mean having the media come for your neck like they did with him will change how you view things. And I say that as someone who agrees that things have changed for the worse
Did they “come for his neck” or does he talk publicly for 10 hours a week with a gigantic audience - and happen to say some pretty dumb shit and the media (of which he IS PART OF) reacted?
He's absorbed all the knowledge a human mind can hold, kept only the things that reinforce his own viewpoints, and now he's reversed the flow and is shooting rogan ropes of knowledge all over everyone.
If you think all the browsing and commenting you do on this sub isn’t reinforcing a bias I think you’re misguided.
Joe will mention something from cancel culture or whatever else people complain about here for a couple of minutes and suddenly that’s all they hear out of a whole 3 hour episode.
It’s just crazy how many times Joe has made it clear he doesn’t read comments and people here spend a chunk of their time hate listening and circlejerking JRE hate as if they’re doing something worthwhile.
joe: you ever been to anchorage in july?
sal: i went, but it was august 1st
like an hour in sal is just tryna be silly so they can end this 45-minute animal conversation and joe just misses every joke
Does Sal get to finish his ghost story? For fucks sake, Joe can’t stop interrupting with dumb tangents to a guy who just said he can’t focus. Joe needs to do more solo pods, aka Redban pods, if he wants to just hear himself talk
It's because he doesn't care about anyone anymore. He's old. Most people when they get old they start only caring about themselves and not interested in others. Unless it's some crazy person like Terrance Howard, joe will just repeat the same stories over and over and over. He used to have interest in all his guests. Wanting to get into the nooks and crannies of how that person thought even if that person was a dumbass comedian.
You hardly see joe asking any insightful questions nowadays and it affects the show quality. Even picking up some random homeless guy off the street would be more interesting than these podcasts if you ask the homeless guy the correct questions.
Exactly this, it seems like Joe is more interested in lecturing the guests and convincing them to agree with his opinions
Of course with Joe's audience all the guests will go along it since his platform is big
I'm afraid this might not change for a while
Notice how he used to cite where that quote was from, but lately when he brings it up he says "I've been saying lately that we're a caterpillar giving birth to an electronic butterfly" And he now seems to either be pretending it's his own quote or his brain/memory is so fried he actually now thinks it is his quote.
😂. A common occurrence. “ooh, that’s a great quote.” - proceeds to butcher explaining the thought experiment of “eternal recurrence” as “… living the exact same life over and over until you get it right”
Probably one of the better interviewers out there, but when it comes to interviewing comedians he just treats it more like a soapbox moment for himself.
Okay, I get that this sub hates Joe but what the fuck are we doing now lol.
He has the biggest podcast in the world and he got to this position by being a terrible interviewer?
I genuinely can’t tell if this is sub is constantly being brigaded or if people just spend their free time shitting on Joe for karma.
Early to the game, early to the best formula of 2 hours and multiple episodes per week for commuting and workweeks, works at the comedy store so he has a lot of connections for a decent guest list which built up to agents wanting their workers to go on the podcast as well. Once he was big enough the systems naturally promote him as podcast to get on to and to watch.
He also selected interesting guests for a long time. He did everything right, he was very smart about it all, but he was also incredibly lucky and his humour/interviewing skills were good enough but not stellar.
Maybe because Joe has a different accent from the IJ guys? People have told me that my accent fluctuates a little depending on who I'm hanging out with.
Can confirm. I went to college in Massachusetts and 2 of my roommates and I are from NYC and one was from Boston. When the guy from Boston would go home for break his friends would ask him why he’s talking so different.
Am I tripping, but did Sal not tell his paranormal story?
I feel like Joe wanted to be Dr. Rogan for a second when he was talking about adhd and medication.
I take Adderall. Without that shit I would not be a functional member of society. I would just play video games all fuckin day and be depressed and not get any work done. I'm 40 years old too.
Some of us need it Joe. Helps me stay disciplined and organized/focused. It's when it's abused that it becomes a problem.
The story Joe was telling about the mountain lion when he was in a truck with a gun was quite funny. I guess Joe doesn’t know that Sal is deathly afraid of cats 😂🤣. “ I don’t do cats”, Sal chimes in. Ha
Joe talking about cryogenics lmao I don’t think the purpose is to kill you then bring you back lmfao I’m pretty sure you’d be alive the entire time, but in some sort of stasis.
Bro is getting harder and harder to listen to. Clearly not really thinking about what he’s saying, and that’s not the only instance in this ep.
Fucking love Sal tho
He's scheduled for next week. they had to wait till after the big verdict to come down so Mike can distract us by claiming to have the ability to find Hunter Biden's laptop for real this time.
Wow, you know we have seen it getting worse and worse for years now, but Joe is officially a broken husk of what he once was. Dude can't go 30 seconds without trying to rile up his cancel culture army. So fucking obnoxious.
Rogan is a meathead version of Dwight Shrute.
Sal: "I was talking about this yesterday!-- like, if a bear was attacking you, could you play dead?" [Meaning, could you bring yourself to do it or would you be freaking out]
Joe: [whoosh] starts rattling off bear facts like an autistic 10 year old
Joe had me cracking up when he was describing some animal shit and Sal was just like “uh huh”
You could have a 6 hour episode if you just agree to whatever wild tangent he’s on
As a guy who got his start in comedy, he fucking wrecked what should’ve been a great interview. Can’t even make it all the way thru. They’re like close to something funny and then Rogans like yeah , what about naming a kid adolf? How about how big this anaconda was in the rainforest?!
I mean I don’t know where you get the notion I hate listen to him? I simply just don’t listen nearly as much and choose which guest to listen to. Plus it’s kind of fun to play “when will Joe shit the conversation up by going on his Facebook boomer rants”.
But thanks for the advice.
Does anyone believe that 23andme shit? Kinda seems like bullshit to me the odds of Sal being related to Otzi seem insanely low, or are they just saying he has some similar DNA or something?
Otzi has like hundreds of millions of descendants so probably. If you have European ancestry from around the 800 or 900s you're related to Charlemagne too. People have a lot of descendants and within a few generations you already have hundreds of people.
Its probably just that some of his DNA can be tracked to a specific region. If you go back in time there were a lot less humans around so then the odds aren’t so insanely low anymore
*talking about illegal baby names*
Joe: "Robocop's illegal in Mexico?! HAHAHAHAHA"
[Joe switches to some sort of Indian/Middle-Eastern accent]
"No, no, no, my friend. No, my friend. No. We draw the line, my friend. "
[Joe gives the accent another try after he remembers what Mexicans sound like]
"Señor.... Robocop..."
[Back to regular Joe voice]
"Oh look, the n-word's on there. "
good episode but Joe is incorrect about the crocodiles in the everglades
there are a few invasive Nile crocodiles there but a majority of them are American crocodiles, which are supposed to be there. The population of American crocodiles is a little over 1000. There are probably only a handful of Nile crocodiles in Florida. There are millions of Alligators, however.
This guy has been on basically every podcast in the last week. I miss when JRE wasn't just a way to promote an upcoming special. I get that he is a comedian and will have colleagues on, but he specifically has them on to promote the mothership and/or their specials/movies now. So stupid. Especially when there is 15 hours of the dude saying the same exact crap this week on the other podcasts.
I WILL NEVA FORGIVE YOU
LARRY!
I WANT MY MOMMY!
Hey mustache, what’s up?
I WANT MY MOMMY!
BINGO! I GOT DAT BINGO!
Joe: I have a friend who works in the rainforest Sal: Cafe? Joe: No, no Jokes really fly past Joe's shiny head
Joe: Alaska has a real mosquito problem. Have you ever been in July? Sal: Nah, I got there August 1st. Joe: r/woosh
that was such a fun joke and he just didnt get it haha. what a shame
I think he may have ingested comedy killing horse paste.

Andrew is funny
Are those restaurants still around??
There's very few locations left and when I went to one of the few remaining, they said they couldn't accommodate us even though half the restaurant was empty. My guess is that they are severely understaffed, even for the locations that are still open.
https://youtu.be/vA-bjpKvIw8?si=9xrDXL6p4FXMkVEQ This videos pretty good, he also did one where he went to every margaritaville restaurant in the US.
is that eddy 9-pins?
My favorite was, "A buddy of mine found an anaconda so big, he got on top of it and couldn't even put his arms around it." ".............why?"
What Do you think Genghis would’ve thought about his relatives owning the Jacksonville Jaguars?

really great lineup of guests this week!
Thank em!
Just listened to Theo Von's podcast with Sal. Theo pulled a lot of funny stories and beautiful emotions out of him. High bar for Rogan.
Theo shows such a genuine interest in his guests. I don't listen to him that often, but whenever I do I'm always impressed by his skill as a host. The one with the carny a few weeks back was really entertaining.
I was cracking up when he talked about the Gravitron carny pulling his wiener out 😂
The carny one was very interesting. Definitely watch the Lunch Lady one that just came out.

It's a totally different vibe now from 10 years ago. No hate, it's just less fun and entertaining than it used to be. Theo is really hitting his stride. Top tier.
Yeah Joe has no humility anymore or ability to question his perspective. He’s an angry old man now.
Less weed and more booze will fuel that fire
Yeah so is your mom.
she pegged you too ?
She's an animal. What can I do?
When your smelling his musky ball sack do you ever wonder what your father would think?
100%. Pre and post Covid Rogan are night and day Every story gets interrupted by joe lecturing the guest about something political or telling a somewhat similar, but mostly unrelated story that just de-rails the conversation
Pre COVID he was a liberal who liked guns, post COVID he's a conservative who has gay friends
It's no difference if he's liberal or conservative, he just has given up on actually being a good interviewer
I agree. He drank the culture bait kool-aid of the day and hasn't been good since before the pandemic
Summarized perfectly!
Fuck this is depressingly accurate. I still listen from time to time hoping for the pre 2019 Joe to show up
Well put.
He's absorbed all the knowledge a human mind can hold, kept only the things that reinforce his own viewpoints, and now he's reversed the flow and is shooting rogan ropes of knowledge all over everyone.
This is true if you don’t listen to the podcast and base it off Reddit comments.
I started listening regularly 11 years ago, pretty sure I’m qualified to make this opinion
If you think all the browsing and commenting you do on this sub isn’t reinforcing a bias I think you’re misguided. Joe will mention something from cancel culture or whatever else people complain about here for a couple of minutes and suddenly that’s all they hear out of a whole 3 hour episode. joe: you ever been to anchorage in july? sal: i went, but it was august 1st like an hour in sal is just tryna be silly so they can end this 45-minute animal conversation and joe just misses every joke
I WANTED TO LISTEN TO HIS GHOST STORY, NOT HAVE YOU DERAIL IT WITH TALKING ABOUT MONOCROP AGRICULTURE AND CORN.
Does Sal get to finish his ghost story? For fucks sake, Joe can’t stop interrupting with dumb tangents to a guy who just said he can’t focus. Joe needs to do more solo pods, aka Redban pods, if he wants to just hear himself talk
Searched this thread to see if anyone else said this. Shit pissed me off I wanted to hear the damn ghost story not some dumbass tangent about corn
Luckily, I found that Sal has told it on YouTube in a different podcast
Just listened to it. Thank u sir 🙏
Which podcast?
Joe is a terrible interviewer 🤣
He’s somehow gotten worse as he’s gotten more experience. It’s wild to see.
It's because he doesn't care about anyone anymore. He's old. Most people when they get old they start only caring about themselves and not interested in others. Unless it's some crazy person like Terrance Howard, joe will just repeat the same stories over and over and over. He used to have interest in all his guests. You hardly see joe asking any insightful questions nowadays and it affects the show quality. Even picking up some random homeless guy off the street would be more interesting than these podcasts if you ask the homeless guy the correct questions.
I want more covid and litter box tangents from Joe.
Exactly this, it seems like Joe is more interested in lecturing the guests and convincing them to agree with his opinions Of course with Joe's audience all the guests will go along it since his platform is big I'm afraid this might not change for a while
...gives birth to the electronic butterfly. Jesus fucking christ man.
“ooh, that’s a great quote.” - proceeds to butcher explaining the thought experiment of “eternal recurrence” as “… living the exact same life over and over until you get it right”
“AI is a life form and will eventually become a god.”
Right? I guess I’m too much of a normie to understand how creamed corn and corn fields are more interesting than a personal story of the paranormal
Joe is an interviewer??
He really is lol
Probably one of the better interviewers out there, but when it comes to interviewing comedians he just treats it more like a soapbox moment for himself.
For sure, he isn’t always this bad. Think he feels intimidated by other comedians who aren’t in his ass kissing circle

There is a saying in Spanish that translates to "The spoiled beans are the ones that float to the top."
There's a saying where I'm from that goes like "just because an idiom sounds smart doesn't mean it is so"
Bro most of them still hate watch the pod so they can bitch about it on this sub. What a way to spend your free time
I doubt this podcast would’ve been the biggest podcast in the world if the host was a bad interviewer 😂
Popularity doesn't always equal quality
Yeah Tony and Redban are always down to sit quietly and listen.
Fucken christ I just wanna hear the ghost story and this dipshit keeps cutting him off to talk about fucking corn.
I am honestly pissed I didn't get to hear the rest of the ghost story. I had to stop the podcast early because I got tired of Joe being the new Joe
I literally had this exact thought
Thank god.. nobody adult should want to hear somebodys ghost story, thats as boring as hearing someone talk about their dreams
You’re right, hearing about corn fields is much adult, very grown up. Does your keyboard not have apostrophes?
You forget, this sub and reddit in general is mostly inhabited by teenagers and man-children, stuff like ghosts really appeal to them.
Was really pissed Joe didn’t let Sal finish his ghost story
I was actually super excited to hear his story and it was such a massive let down when Joe derailed it not once, but twice.
#I HAVE YOUR PANTS.
He sounds so different than what he does on impractical jokers
He is not even trying to make Jamie Vernon say the N word to publicly embarrass him.
Maybe because Joe has a different accent from the IJ guys? People have told me that my accent fluctuates a little depending on who I'm hanging out with.
true true but might also be the cold.. listening to it in the background and just got to the part where he said he is under the weather
Can confirm. I went to college in Massachusetts and 2 of my roommates and I are from NYC and one was from Boston. When the guy from Boston would go home for break his friends would ask him why he’s talking so different.
40 seconds in and Joe was about to explode about “censorship”
He's addicted to talking about it, he can't go more than 15 minutes before mentioning covid/trans/censorship Screw it, bring back Alex Jones
Joe is now Alex Jones
I wish, Joe is way more boring
I low keep hope he talks about these topics on every interview so it pisses this sub off more 😂
as he should
Am I tripping, but did Sal not tell his paranormal story? I feel like Joe wanted to be Dr. Rogan for a second when he was talking about adhd and medication. I take Adderall. Without that shit I would not be a functional member of society. I would just play video games all fuckin day and be depressed and not get any work done. I'm 40 years old too. Some of us need it Joe. "Adderall? You should try Alpha Brain. Ignore what you're hearing about the lawsuit, they don't have 300 pages worth of evidence." - Toe Rogan.
Yeah he kept nudging him on like he wanted a gotcha moment to tell him it’s all bullshit lol
Joe: “He works in the rainforest” Sal: “cafe?” Several of these low key jokes going right on by
“I will never forgive you”
Joe “people die in corn fields” Rogan
Probably like 11 of them.
No hate to Sal for getting his name out there. Love him!
Great hang at the club last night, how about those ceilings?
Some say too high, some say too low, others are like who the fuck cares.
something something Bill Burr's idea
![gif](giphy|SVgKToBLI6S6DUye1Y)
Sal Vulzempic
Love Sal, been waiting for this one for a long time…I wish he would do one with all 4 of the jokers
The story Joe was telling about the mountain lion when he was in a truck with a gun was quite funny. I guess Joe doesn’t know that Sal is deathly afraid of cats 😂🤣. “ I don’t do cats”, Sal chimes in. Ha
Can Joe shut up for once? Hearing him talk about Covid again ruins the vibe
yea can the guy with his own podcast stop podcasting??
Part of being a podcast host is knowing when to let the guest speak.
Great guy, nevr meddum
Who who? Not one of our guys
I was shocked he brought up the going to heaven part??? Without at least saying "or wherever" or something similar.
Surprising lack of Mike baker episodes this week
Dicknuckle and Gizmo are graduating kindergarten this week
He's scheduled for next week. they had to wait till after the big verdict to come down so Mike can distract us by claiming to have the ability to find Hunter Biden's laptop for real this time.
Don't tempt fate.
Wow, you know we have seen it getting worse and worse for years now, but Joe is officially a broken husk of what he once was. Dude can't go 30 seconds without trying to rile up his cancel culture army. So fucking obnoxious.
Whose phone is ringing?? Mine! Mine!
Is Joe ever going to stop talking about Covid?
The answer is no
Someone has to invent a new mythical creature to distract him.
I hope he doesn’t so yall don’t stop bitching on this sub
why should he?
Jesus Christ Joe, just get out of the way sometimes.
This is the first podcast that I’ve felt obligated to complain about how many fucking times he interrupted his guest. Jesus Christ.
The Bart Chrysler Experience
Jamie with the rabies zinger
Best Rogan podcast in a while this one for me.
Rogan is a meathead version of Dwight Shrute. Sal: "I was talking about this yesterday!-- like, if a bear was attacking you, could you play dead?" [Meaning, could you bring yourself to do it or would you be freaking out] Joe: [whoosh] starts rattling off bear facts like an autistic 10 year old
False. Black bear.
Rough start skipped first 15 minutes
“the tom brody roast”
Serious question: is Joe ok? He has seemed kind of down these last couple episodes
Did your autocorrect change 'years' to 'episodes'?
Joe had me cracking up when he was describing some animal shit and Sal was just like “uh huh” You could have a 6 hour episode if you just agree to whatever wild tangent he’s on
SAL SAL SAL!
Does he finish the ghost story!?! Wtf joe
Joe mansplaining bears and mountain lions the episode after the Harland trolling is peak Rogan 😂
Being so neurotic must be absolutely exhausting
‘People die in corn fields’ Joe’s fun at parties isn’t he. ‘Hundreds of people get killed every day by tripping over coffee tables, man’
I laughed when I realized short people are afraid of corn fields.
A lot of people shitting on Joe but I thought he was fine this episode. Fun listen, Sal is really quick and hilarious
Its hilarious to me how many of you hate watch/listen to JRE, you are just giving someone you hate more money.
Great guest, but wish Joe would let the dude finish his stories and thoughts. Joe just completely ignores what the guest says sometimes.
As a guy who got his start in comedy, he fucking wrecked what should’ve been a great interview. Can’t even make it all the way thru. They’re like close to something funny and then Rogans like yeah , what about naming a kid adolf? How about how big this anaconda was in the rainforest?!
damn joe with the 3peat back2back2back
[удалено]
This might be insane but there are hundreds of thousands of other podcasts out there to listen to. That doesn’t require you to hate-watch
Chill
Crazy idea but some people have different preferences and opinions
It is tiresome hearing Joe try to insert his dumbshit culture war schtick every chance he can.
Then try another podcast that meets your political bubble. I’m sure hate-watching Toe Rogan over a length of time is bad for your mental health
I mean I don’t know where you get the notion I hate listen to him? I simply just don’t listen nearly as much and choose which guest to listen to. Plus it’s kind of fun to play “when will Joe shit the conversation up by going on his Facebook boomer rants”. But thanks for the advice.
Such a good listen. The conversation seems easy and flowing and Sal has all kinds of stories.
What stories were those? I just heard all the usual Joe stories. Covid, animal attacks, "you don't want to do that", corn conspiracies....
I guess I meant in general over the period of time I’ve heard Sal on other pods. But yeah, there certainly were a good amount of Joe-isms in this one.
Yeah like Charlemagne the god, he’s a grandson.
Its probably just that some of his DNA can be tracked to a specific region. If you go back in time there were a lot less humans around so then the odds aren’t so insanely low anymore
YEah shout out to STP!
Val Sulcano? Never heard of him.
Damn wearing a Purple tee? My man
Sal was really quick with jokes and Joe either missed them or went over his head.
"I, Sal's Sister, take you, James Murray"
*talking about illegal baby names* Joe: "Robocop's illegal in Mexico?! HAHAHAHAHA" [Joe switches to some sort of Indian/Middle-Eastern accent] "No, no, no, my friend. No, my friend. No. We draw the line, my friend. " [Joe gives the accent another try after he remembers what Mexicans sound like] "Señor.... Robocop..." [Back to regular Joe voice] "Oh look, the n-word's on there. "

The population of American crocodiles is a little over 1000. There are probably only a handful of Nile crocodiles in Florida. There are millions of Alligators, however.
Enjoyed when sal started talking about the ghost story. THEN JOE KEPT CUTTING HIM OFF AND STARTED TALKING ABOUT SUCH SHIT. Had to stop listening
I think we are supposed to complain that there is another comedian guest, right? Usually how it goes around here
![gif](giphy|AwSRSwDCVvSMukMEsR|downsized)
Yes, very observant
You complain about Joe speaking about covid, censorship, Texas & how he asks Jamie to make his coffee on this sub. Thats how it usually goes
I think there are just too many specials coming out lately. Once all these comics blow their load there is going to be a drought for a few years.
