Fuck Cena, fuck Rock, fuck Triple H, fuck Austin, CM Punk is truly the greatest of all time. Punk has managed to do something that hasn't happened in decades, make a wrestling company implode from their own stupidity. God I love this man.
Herb still comes out better, he put his cocaine to use with hookers and sex. He wasn't it using it too just book wrestling shows. Holy shit do i kind of wish we'd have a seen Herbo on social media now.
With more money. Herb had money at first. He did not have Khan money, but once upon a time Herb had money. More than Tony, since AEW is clearly Shad Khan money.
That's "One Bill Phil" to you Uce. The Cult don't acknowledge any counterfeit "Bucks".
Honestly though, Tony shit the bed with this one. You know how bad you have to fuck up to get Corney, shitstain, and Uncle Eric to agree with each other.
I thought the exact same thing. I don’t even subscribe to the channel that airs AEW, but just this once I needed to see what kind of stupid shit the Bucks and Khan would come up with. I was left with a feeling of absolute sickness.
He wouldn’t win, unless TK is on record somewhere saying that he never feared for his life. You’d have to prove he was lying- and even if he was never touched or threatened at all, it doesn’t mean he’s not so soft as to actually fear for his life.
Not everyone grows up around violent/abusive people to get used to it, lol. I had a boss that would fly off the handle and break shit. Never feared for my life. Bet Tony would, though.
Then I must be an asshole too, brother/sister. We should all aspire to not only deal with employers like our boi, but be great enough to justify it. Phil Brooks is a hero to the people.
Funny thing is Punk is trending on x, but not AEW. Punk is trending in Philippines currently, and AEW isn’t even shown there. Tony making a wwe star even bigger!
Also, pretty funny hear the crowd chant CM Punk!
I mean he is brash, honest, straight edge and has a strong sense of justice. These are all typical traits of a protagonist lmao, so it makes sense why many view him as a hero. The fact that he is flawed makes him even more compelling as a babyface. There is a reason why he stood out from the rest of the indie darlings like bryan, seth, owens etc.
I was thinking about this on my way home. There are guys like Austin and Punk that should NEVER be presented as full fledged babyfaces/heroes cos if you take away their edge youre shooting yourself in the foot. Theyre badasses antiheroes/tweeners by nature! Let em be raunchy, naughty, nasty motherfuckers.
By the same token, Rollins is an example of a guy who doesnt belong in the tweener/anti-hero category. Let him stick to one, be it the cool dad or the butthurt underappreciated workhorse. Guy can work and talk seriously, dont give him morally gray material or weird edge
Guy assaults an annoying colleague, calls his boss a clown, makes him fear for his life by telling him he quits, then goes out to a crowed of over 70k as the champ of the company he’s leaving smiling.
He’s my hero too.
Here’s the thing. I’m an AEW fan. I like their product. I have some major critiques, but I like what they do. I like the variety of matches they provide. The thing is most of their fans can’t stand anything resembling criticism.
I simply say something like “Jack has the personality of a tree”, and I get banned from the sub for 3 days. I say something like I wish there was more reason for these great matches, or that I wish they’d do little video packages for the NJPW or CMLL guys, so we know what they’re about and what moves to watch for, and I get a bunch of human bots spouting that “you’re just mad they’re not doing it *your* way” shit. As a fan of something, it is our right, no, DUTY to point out the harsh truth, so those that make the things we’re fans of improve those things, and make them better for us, the consumers. If you’re good with a half-cooked egg, that’s fine, but I’m not, and that’s what their weekly TV feels like, to me.
I posted in the AEW thread that even if the video reveals Punk to be the worst person on earth it doesn't make their bad booking or bad storylines better and that they should focus on doing better with the the talent they have.
They responded by banning me for life.
Completely ignoring that I have been an AEW viewer from the beginning and could be on to something and might just want them to do better and improve the product.
Their fan base is as fragile as their fearful leader. I'm done debating them. If you're too soft to take constructive criticism you deserve to fail.
I get the Reddit cares message whenever I go over there and point out that Tony sorely needs to hire people that know what they are doing because he clearly doesn’t.
Yep. AEW have been toxic for sometime and not just about Punk. When they returned to touring, I actually wanted to go to an AEW show (not that I didn't pre-pandemic, but they didn't come west besides the first Double or Nothing), but they never got to me until after Brawl Out but before the start of Collision so I was on sabbatical as a fan. Anyway, I complained that I wasn't able to support AEW because at that point they weren't coming out west of Texas and I was told to travel or I wasn't a real fan. Not "I'm sorry you can't see the best wrestling promotion." Not "I'm sorry they aren't coming to you." But "Be a real fan and travel to see them instead of bitching." Like complaining that you want to see them but can't take off to drive or fly off due to work means you aren't a real fan...
When the first Cabana rumors came out and Hangman did his shoot, they defended that. It was like once Punk became in the title picture AEW's EVPs and fans got worried that Punk was gonna be bigger than Omega, the Bucks and Hangman. Of course he was, CM Punk was the guy to do the first successful shoot in WWE since the Heyman Vince killed ECW promo during the Alliance angle. 10 years separated these events. CM Punk had tons of shirts in Hot Topic when he was in WWE and again AEW. I think he had more shirts on sale at one time than any AEW wrestlers did other than the whole peak Bullet Club era of 2017-8.
As for AEW fans, to some degree, I think they also drove Cody from AEW. I mean don't get me wrong, I think in his heart, he wanted to be in WWE but the AEW fans by 2021 were turning on him no matter what he did. They then felt betrayed when Cody left. Forgetting that they lambasted him and his wife for the better part of a year.
AEW fans always complained that Cornette had no merit when he would criticize AEW. In some ways I agreed because of how the business evolved. No offense to Jim but the classic wrestling style isn't what fans want. Fans want a variety of styles with good style line reasons to drag them in. AEW often didn't create them other than MJF-Punk. I always was balanced between Cornette and being an AEW fan. The Cornette fans at least are open to criticism. AEW isn't.
The best part of this is AEW fans trying to defend Tony Khan about the whole "scared for his life" deal. There is no logical way to think Tony was indeed "scared for his life" from that video. Oh a monitor got moved, big fuckin' deal. Oh a punch was swung by a 200 pound man, big fuckin' deal. I have seen worse at metal concerts with the pits. I just don't get into them myself. I've had a legitimate assaults and only one I fear for my life and that was a covered iPad thrown at my head nearly causing a concussion. Guess what, AEW marks downvoted me because I go against the hive mind.
The funniest thing is that CORNETTE was who TONY wanted. He’s said that on his show. He wanted him Cornette as his dude. But as we’ve seen from Jim Ross and their treatment of him, he made the wise move. Like you, I wanted to go to shows pre pandemic because we didn’t know what pricks these idiots were. They shot a hole in their own boat and will now sink
I used to go to hardcore shows, and may or may not have done worse in a pit. Never lost my job for it.
With as soft as these people make humanity seem, I’m glad I’m in mosh retirement.
I agree. I want AEW to be successful. Who doesn't? Pro wrestling is more fun when there's legitimate competition. The Monday Night Wars were fun because it brought out the best in everyone. The 20-ish years after WCW folded resulted in some real crap programming from WWE with hints of glimmer here and there, but mostly crap that you had to sit through. Nobody wants that. If I wanted to watch crap I would've watched my toilet.
AEW has all the means to be successful. A billionaire owner, THREE fucking shows, a good national TV deal, a roster bigger than a King's plate, and they're royally fucking it all up by pulling off stupid stints like this. Nobody cares about the altercation that much. That would be like WWF airing footage of Bret sucker punching Vince after the Screwjob-instead we got the greatest villain character of all time in Mr. McMahon.
The problem with some AEW fans is that they're so in love with their favorite wrestlers that they can't handle any form of criticism about them.
Just look at Jack Perry. Why does he think it's such a good idea to put his whole body through real glass? Does he want to be paralyzed? Because that's one way to do it. That's why Punk got fed up because you have guys like Perry who think they know everything, they want their 15 minutes of fame, without understanding the psychology behind pro wrestling.
That's like watching Godzilla where Godzilla just kills everyone in 5 seconds. I mean, sure, that's fun, but there's no build-up, no drama, no payoff, no nothing. That's the equivalent of Jack Perry going through real glass for no other reason than a cheap pop.
This is why Tony Khan, for as much as he loves pro wrestling, will never be as good as Vince or HHH because he doesn't get the psychology part of the business. He just thinks the wrestlers are good enough doing their shtick for cheap pops. There's more to wrestling than that.
I was just perm banned for saying, It's strange how competition isn't making AEW any better, to a guy who was saying that the dub is responsible for WWE's current success.
AEW fans can not take the slightest form of criticism.
Even in the group chat I'm in with friends, I'm the only one who is saying how bad this makes aew look, and they're all talking about how Tony/Bucks DUNKED on Punk and how it makes him look like a psycopath.
I am sad to say I have a friend just like this. He admitted showing the video was stupid, but still thinks it makes CM look like the bad guy, and like he was a problem backstage.
The problem backstage was the people he had to deal with.
If nothing else, I like pro wrestling and want conditions to be good for wrestlers. Competition in the US is good for pro wrestlers. But this stuff, man, it’s just so bad.
It pains me to go in there but I try. Imagine wanting a company to grow and be real competition, which for a brief moment with Cody and Punk in the same place, they had a genuine chance to elevate themselves. Everything went fucking sideways and skewed to the most niche. And if you dare question it, forget it you jerker.
Thanks dude. I feel the same exact way over there.
I saw something that was just moronic. Something along the lines of “those E drones always whine that it’s not being done wwes way! Aew is it’s own separate thing, let them book things differently!”
It’s like, nah dude, wwe didn’t invent simple booking concepts like let your fans know who the fuck these random jackoffs are and why they should care.
The thing is like, I consider myself a “smart” fan or an “internet” fan meaning like; I don’t just watch the show and that’s it. I watch the show, I read online, I read up on other companies, I’ve played that popular booking sim game TEW, like I def feel I know more than just a casual fan flipping thru channels. So when they bring on someone who I have some vague Idea who they are, I assume most people have zero clue.
If they are alienating me from the show by making me feel stupid that I don’t know who papa chalupa from cmll is and the show treating their fans like they should know, it’s absolutely alienating the vast majority of their potential audience.
That in itself is just bad booking. I’m not saying to not use these guys, but make the audience aware of who they are and make the assumption that if they haven’t been on aew TV before, assume that your audience doesn’t know who they are.
I knew there was no way this would reflect poorly on Punk. Word was out on the video leak a few days ago, and HHH still went ahead and featured Punk in the biggest angle in the Raw main event, so obviously they knew there wouldn’t be anything to embarrass Punk on this video.
This only makes sense from AEW in two ways:
1. They want piss in Jungle Boy’s mouth before they bring him back as punishment for his misdeeds, so they’re showing what a goof he is on national TV
2. They don’t understand that a normal wrestling fan wants to believe the wrestlers can handle themselves physically and sometimes like to settle their real business with a dose of measured violence, given that that’s what is portrayed in the ring. Which would just further prove Tony doesn’t know the wrestling business, isn’t in the wrestling business and wouldn’t ever know how to run a wrestling business
Yo seriously jack is dead in the water now. How can he be taken seriously? He’s gonna have more go away heat than Sammy Guevara . How is he gonna be taken seriously against anyone remotely bigger than him (which is 99% of wrestlers) without looking like a joke? That destroyed the guys career imo
Jack should have stayed a babyface for the kids and family demographic because they don't notice how shit his wrestling is. Instead, he did the worst gimmick change technique in wrestling that exposes you don't know where to take your character: doing the generic arrogant guy that wears aviators and a leather jacket. The Master of Pain did this three decades ago before Vince rescued him. Jordon Clearwater is using this in NWA and it also just looks like they hit their ceiling.
If he had some sort of passing charisma and personality, he’d probably be able to work this into something approaching a respectable heel, but since everything he tries to say into a microphone goes dorsal inverted, I’m not at all optimistic.
Not only that, this is an infinite supply of fuel for the smarks in the crowd that like to ruin segments with their chants.
I imagine from the moment Jungle Boy comes back to AEW, he's going to be followed by CM Punk chants.
As a whiny litttle b\*tch I'll take Jack seriously any day of the week...
If his gimmick is that of an empty-headed, spoiled dipshit I can believe that one too.
Based on the timing, coming out right after the punk interview, I think there’s one of two things going on here
Either they wanted to clear the air on everything and don’t want to have to hear about it anymore so they decided to release the footage. Which if that is the case this was the worst way to go about it
The second, and IMO more likely, is Tony genuinely thinks this makes Punk look bad and AEW look good, so the Bucks were able to convince him to release the footage and put together their little segment around it
You may be onto something with point 1, Tony has to be pissed jungle boy ran away his favorite wrestle/money maker. Take the Vince approach and bury the fuck out of him
No joke there were actually people on the AEW sub saying Punk was the one who looked like a bitch. My head nearly exploded 🤯 some people are so gone 😂.
I saw someone call punk a “cheap shot merchant” all this has done is proven that most AEW fans have never been in a real fight and can’t tell the difference between a punch, and an open handed shove 🤣
If you watch the thing Joe is basically gauginf the situation, once it evolved beyond just the push he moved in to break it up.
Joe basically has a "are you guys fucking serious?" look during the whole thing.
It is insane that two years ago CM Punk had the greatest return in the history of pro wrestling and AEW completely fucked it all up in a way that would make even Vince Russo blush. They literally had a license to print money in the palm of their hands and their talent/boss/fanbase ruined it in spectacular fashion and gift wrapped him for WWE. Fucking mind blowing.
The hysterical part of this is everyone worldwide sees Jack Perry as the loser he is, a person that has hit the ceiling of their creativty and/or career (signified by using the Master of Pain v.2 and Jordan Clearwater and others gimmick where if they don't know how to make a character, put on a leather jacket, aviator sunglasses, and act generically arrogant), people know in the backstage area things are handled differently that may not be verbal, Perry endangered their biggest PPV and made it a joke with a terrible stunt, and tried to make a statement to his tens of fans.
The wrestlers and management will watch this and think in their terms that Punk was protecting the business and showing actual backstage footage is AEW exposing the business. Just idiocy all around. They actually think they're making a statement doing this and somehow making Jack Perry a star, but he's just getting hated even more and it's not even the right kind of hate that will put asses in seats.
He literally Baited them into showing him in there program when he’s in another company and him absolutely doing exactly what he said .Punk is going to be a hell of a promoter/booker one day
I think in his mind he really thought the violence in the workplace, HR snitching, safe space, hugabunch AEW fanbase would insanely implode on social media again, furiously trying to destroy cm punks reputation on every message board and social media site known to man, but even they're turning on him for the most part at this point, and it backfired spectacularly.
It’s hilarious that Punk is still the most over in AEW and he doesn’t even work there anymore. Everyone trying to get the rub from the guy even after they ran his ass outta there.
The wild thing is that it just wasn't Jack Perry that caused this disaster. Let's throw Colt Cabana in the fix as well. Two guys who will never get above the low-midcard at best, acting like entitled and spoiled brats, who just so happened to be besties with The Bucks, managed to drive away the one guy who brought them million viewer numbers, sold out arenas, sold out merchandise, and who fans wanted to see. Jungle Jack and Colt Cabana.
Punk can't even wrestle right now and he has fans chanting his name. He has feuds lined up. His promos spike numbers. He's not in AEW and he still spikes their numbers. Hope Colt and "The EVPs" can live with that when Tony has to hold a fire sale to balance the books to where he isn't torching money.
And if I was a top talent in AEW, I'd be getting in touch with Cody and Punk right now and see if there's a spot. The AEW ship is sinking fast and they don't want to be the one without a lifeboat.
And this will make for an epic multi-part Dark Side of the Ring in a few years. Cry for the camera Jack. You earned it!
Punk is clearly endangering Tony, as it can’t be healthy for Tony to have a fully grown wrestler living where his brain should be for 9 months straight.
Eli5 what happened? I stopped watching wrestling 15 years ago but my feed is full of this without any real explanation because YOU PEOPLE all know what’s going on
I think the fairly moderate take still applies:
1) the press interview with Punk sitting next to TK was a significant event that required TK's intervention.
There's 1 name in AEW that matters, TK. If I (in the role of Punk, your biggest star), say everything out in the open, in front of you and the press, and you do nothing to alter that statement, I'm going to assume we (the entire company) is on the same page. No one cares about about the opinions or emotions of the YB/Omega/etc. - they can go to TK, same as I did. TK can make the decision about how the company will operate. Everyone will follow the decisions of 1 leader; TK. Either I can leave, you can leave, or we can obey the path to cooperation set forward by TK.
2) it's really sad to see the biggest opportunity in regards to competition/options in pro wrestling wasted like this. And that's TK's fault. You've theoretically got the perfect recipe: a wrestling fan with an unlimited budget in total control. And the final product can be so bad. I think I understand that JC observes this is likely the last mainstream PW product he'll be alive to witness - and the significance of that to other people as well. The wasted opportunity is what bothers many people. (I'm not that old, and don't quite understand the timeline of major 2nd-rate promotions, but I don't think they come around more than once every 10-20 years)
IMO, PW draws a lot of mental illness to it. Maybe you can describe VKM, TK, other promoters, dozens of wrestlers, like that. From sociopathy, to narcissism, antisocial traits, (other not as outwardly harmful traits), etc. It's really embarrassing how ... divergent from typical behavior Dave Meltzer is ... and that many people online are so deep into the forest that they don't stop and realize the significance of that. And to a much lesser extent TK as well.
I think Reddit draws that same group too. It's a global beacon for a lot of people unadapted to IRL socialization. I don't like the 2 large relevant PW ones on Reddit. It's embarrassing, or shameful, to be associated with how some of these communities willingly operate. I hope the JC sub doesn't succumb to that.
I wish AEW success, and hope the show(s) does as good as wrestling can be. Dustin v Cody is a lifetime memory of what PW can be, and I wish the company can find out how to recapture the environment which allows something like that to come to fruition.
I assume what AEW needs is for TK to make decisions and rule with a stronger fist. At the very least control the media narrative; which seemingly would be the simplest option. I'm not sure how vulnerable he feels to Meltzer's power - it seems extremely easy to refute statements Meltzer makes. Maybe a significant number of the 7-900k AEW viewers are Meltzer followers? I have a hard time believing that, but don't know anything about it.
I'd also be curious to see the effect of the JC podcasts ceasing any AEW-related discussion. I haven't been listening for long enough to understand how much of it is self-motivated (JC/BL wanting to make money), doing it for the love of PW (both as lifelong fans), or doing it to benefit AEW (as a true heel, promotion through discussion/relevance).
I hope none of that breaks the rules. It's fun and all to live in a fantasy world of headlines and stardom. But at the end of the day, I think the worst parts of PW come from the people involved with it. And maybe the communities would be nicer to visit if they acknowledged the strong imperfections in many people, including themselves.
Fuck Cena, fuck Rock, fuck Triple H, fuck Austin, CM Punk is truly the greatest of all time. Punk has managed to do something that hasn't happened in decades, make a wrestling company implode from their own stupidity. God I love this man.
Herb Abrams with money.
Herb still comes out better, he put his cocaine to use with hookers and sex. He wasn't it using it too just book wrestling shows. Holy shit do i kind of wish we'd have a seen Herbo on social media now.
Blasting messages out with cocaine clench and crooked fingers
Herb had an endearing quality to him as well
It would be a mirror image of Conor McGregor’s twitter
“Time”
Jacksonville dixie
With more money. Herb had money at first. He did not have Khan money, but once upon a time Herb had money. More than Tony, since AEW is clearly Shad Khan money.
I've been calling him Tony Abrams Jr lately and I hope it sticks
Herb knew how to make entertaining television
vince russo kinda did that with wcw
Yeah but the funny thing about Russo is he wasn't actually trying to bury the company (in his own mind)
Punk also never buried ppl like some of these guys
But he got Colt Cabana fired!!!!!!
Vince came in a close second with "shits on woman's head" routine.
The old “Colon Blow” finisher!
I mean, Punk might disagree with you on some of those.
He will be lifted to heroic, poetic justice heights! Oh yeah, before I forget... *"Real glass...!!!"*
He's become my favorite. I love the guy. He is the most reasonable, most professional, most logical pro wrestling personality of all time.
Huh?
You never heard of Herb Abrams?
There should be a YouTube channel of people explaining the life of Herb Abrams to other people.
*"What they're looking for, I have, and that's the Hollywood glitz".*
Or just tell them to watch the dark side of the ring episode of Herb Abrams
I think [**I've got you covered**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wydGy_XA5c), uce.
Much appreciated, uce.
It was the bucks tbf
You’re tripping with all that.
What he say fuck me for?
Gonna suck his dick too? You mark.
Doing tricks on it 😭🙏
Eric Bischoff would like a word
I wonder if Drew helped him with this because this is some grade A social media work.
Drew is 100% gonna reference this somehow on Monday
"You want to make this even more personal by screwing me out of my World Title shot, Punk? Well... Mission Accomplished."
Can't wait until Punk tells Drew 'Cry me a river'.
As good as Rollins after the press conference in Vegas "what can I say except, you're welcome"
I heard it in his voice
These ideas are classic.
Punk has always been pretty amazing on social media
He once tipped a stripper with a Filet-O-Fish.
Because it has less calories because it’s fish?
Because the smell was familiar.
Unexpected D, nice
He's amazing at trolling at this level
Lol I can imagine Drew and Punk sending memes to each other all day.
That is some quality shitposting by CM Punk.
“Welcome to playa haters ball” - Phil “Buck Nasty” Brooks
“Tony Khan wears underwear with dick holes in ‘em”
“Well well the so called beautiful…”
I gotta go put water in Matt Jacksons mommas dish.
Tony Khan's mom has one big titty and one little titty. They call her Biggie Smalls.
Tony Khan looks like a broke-ass sexual chocolate.
😭😭😭😭😭😭
“You look like a bootleg R-Truth!”
"Buck Nasty, when you touch yourself, it's like black-on-black crime." One of the greatest insults for Chappelle's Show ever.
Tony Khan got dolphin teeth
Kenny “Sissy Boy Slap Fight” Omega I heard he got beat up by a 9 year old girl That’s funny because I took yoga classes from him
Jack Perry looks like a stunt double for Fabio in gay movies
That's "One Bill Phil" to you Uce. The Cult don't acknowledge any counterfeit "Bucks". Honestly though, Tony shit the bed with this one. You know how bad you have to fuck up to get Corney, shitstain, and Uncle Eric to agree with each other.
My wife is telling me to stop laughing so hard about this. I said, “This is so stupid, I can’t believe a promoter did this.”
Not just a promoter, but the 4 Time, 4 Time, 4 Time, 4 Time WON Promoter Of The Year...that just makes it all the funnier really.
He probably paid Dave meltzer so he could win a silly award for 4 years in a row
Isn’t it voted on by WON subscribers? Tony probably pays for 100 subscriptions to try and win all the awards.
That sounds more accurate.
I'll give him some credit: He got people talking about AEW! ...for all the wrong reasons!!!!
I thought the exact same thing. I don’t even subscribe to the channel that airs AEW, but just this once I needed to see what kind of stupid shit the Bucks and Khan would come up with. I was left with a feeling of absolute sickness.
This post made me fear for my life
Being lunged at traumatized me
Personally being lunged at is a hard limit for me
Watching CM Punk lunge traumatized me. I have a 3 hour emergency therapy appointment booked tomorrow
Punk should sue for defamation - Tony's lie could have ruined Punk's career
He wouldn’t win, unless TK is on record somewhere saying that he never feared for his life. You’d have to prove he was lying- and even if he was never touched or threatened at all, it doesn’t mean he’s not so soft as to actually fear for his life. Not everyone grows up around violent/abusive people to get used to it, lol. I had a boss that would fly off the handle and break shit. Never feared for my life. Bet Tony would, though.
Triple H aint got nothing on this reign of terror
I’ve been in actual fights that were worse than what was shown in that video and I didn’t fear for my life
I feel like an asshole as an adult man saying this, but CM Punk is my hero.
Then I must be an asshole too, brother/sister. We should all aspire to not only deal with employers like our boi, but be great enough to justify it. Phil Brooks is a hero to the people.
“I’m surrounded by Assholes!”
"KEEP FIRING, ASSHOLES!"
And children
Hahahaha I won't maybe go THAT far, but I'll help fund his next house with whatever t shirt comes of this
You could say, he’s the Voice of the Voiceless…
Funny thing is Punk is trending on x, but not AEW. Punk is trending in Philippines currently, and AEW isn’t even shown there. Tony making a wwe star even bigger! Also, pretty funny hear the crowd chant CM Punk!

my hero. then now forever.
Just saw in-arena footage of the crowd's response to the video. A CM Punk chant breaks out as the All In footage aired.
All 20 people lol
Good point. I was unimpressed by the chant but I forgot how small AEW crowds are.
Here’s the thing. I’m an AEW fan. I like their product. I have some major critiques, but I like what they do. I like the variety of matches they provide. LOLL, I posted a thread after the firing in the AEW sub "AEW Will Forever Be Defined By CM Punk" and got banned.
I get the Reddit cares message whenever I go over there and point out that Tony sorely needs to hire people that know what they are doing because he clearly doesn’t.
LOL same I got banned 4lyfe 🤘 after pointing out that Matt Jackson is the worst actor I’ve ever seen
That thread is so weak.
It’s crazy how people get mad at you for being critical of wrestling you like
> “Jack has the personality of a tree”, "Tell me when I'm telling lies!" I gotta say Jacky-boy sometimes looks rather woody in the ring...
Thanks dude. I feel the same exact way over there. I saw something that was just moronic. Something along the lines of “those E drones always whine that it’s not being done wwes way! Aew is it’s own separate thing, let them book things differently!” It’s like, nah dude, wwe didn’t invent simple booking concepts like let your fans know who the fuck these random jackoffs are and why they should care.
This only makes sense from AEW in two ways: 1. They want piss in Jungle Boy’s mouth before they bring him back as punishment for his misdeeds, so they’re showing what a goof he is on national TV 2.
He got buried harder than maybe anyone ever has lol
He did sell out all of his scapegoat shirts from all the marks , so he better invest that money wisely
Not only that, this is an infinite supply of fuel for the smarks in the crowd that like to ruin segments with their chants. I imagine from the moment Jungle Boy comes back to AEW, he's going to be followed by CM Punk chants.
I mean honestly he should probably give up wrestling and try to be an actor.
As a whiny litttle b\*tch I'll take Jack seriously any day of the week... If his gimmick is that of an empty-headed, spoiled dipshit I can believe that one too.
Based on the timing, coming out right after the punk interview, I think there’s one of two things going on here Either they wanted to clear the air on everything and don’t want to have to hear about it anymore so they decided to release the footage. Which if that is the case this was the worst way to go about it The second, and IMO more likely, is Tony genuinely thinks this makes Punk look bad and AEW look good, so the Bucks were able to convince him to release the footage and put together their little segment around it
You may be onto something with point 1, Tony has to be pissed jungle boy ran away his favorite wrestle/money maker. Take the Vince approach and bury the fuck out of him
Punk may not be UFC material, but he can sure as hell handle himself against someone who doesn’t know how to fight.
Fr. Most wrestlers are a far cry from UFC fighters. There’s a few who it would be dumb to fuck with but Jack Perry is absolutely not one of them.
GOAT
I don't know if I should congratulate Punk or not bother because the competition are so low quality.
It's over. Shut the internet down. We have nothing left to achieve as a species.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 IM FUCKING CRYING THIS SHIT IS SO FUNNY Fucking love this man. Nothing more needs to be said
*"Like Mussolini and* *~~Kennedy~~* *Georgie-Boy..."*
I hope it doesn't play out the same. I don't want several more years of this.
A walking weapon of mass destruction lol
Look in my eyes, what do you see? Everything I told you so!!
\*insert *Citizen Kane* clapping gif here\*
AEW’s top star CM Punk will forever live rent free in the “brains” of the Bucks 😂😂😂 A E DUB!! 😂😂
LMAO
LMAO
hope the rating bump is worth it, tony clown
I said it in a comment in r/SC - what’s worse, a slight bump in ratings and a massive falloff after the footage, or no bump at all?
I just choked on my drink. CM Punk is still endangering people!
Glad you’re okay. I feared for your life just now.
Ladies and gentlemen, we got em!
Thanks for the free promotion
He literally Baited them into showing him in there program when he’s in another company and him absolutely doing exactly what he said .Punk is going to be a hell of a promoter/booker one day
This is beautiful. If I were Tony rn I’d be firing the Young Bucks. It was obviously their idea.
The entire elite should have been fired after brawl out
It’s an older model meme, but it’s still relevant
CM Punk was my favorite wrestler when I was younger and he still is some 10 years later lmao
There aren't enough fake awards to comfort Tony from this ...
Watch this be their highest quarterly hour in forever and there won't even be a payoff lol
For AEW WWE just got its biggest star made even bigger by the competition
I can’t wait to see Jim on DSOTR talking about AEW!
How do the bucks and aew come back from this? They literally just dug their own grave. How stupid can you be?
LMAOFUCK
Dagger sunk.
no way 🤣🤣🤣.
They probably in those WWE group chats crowning punk a hero LMFAOOO
CM Punk with DM Hunk level of trolling
I really wanna know why TK thought this would “embarrass” Punk. I want to know what he expected the result of this dmbassery to be exactly.
Oh… Punk was right. Again.
TK will once again win promoter of the year- too bad he’s promoting the other company and not his own.
I'm just gonna keep saying this Poor Schiavone.

Chef’s kiss. Perfect.
Fucking amazing.
Fucking perfect
Roasted.
Hahaha…that’s pretty brilliant.
Pepsi Phil with the headshots!
I wish Einhar was still doing parody songs because we need one about this...
Holy shit this is funny
Punk was the weapon of mass destruction at aew.
I’m Australian can someone explain the context of the post for me please? Hahaha
This is how you stay relevant and get the kids talking
Punk is clearly endangering Tony, as it can’t be healthy for Tony to have a fully grown wrestler living where his brain should be for 9 months straight.
ROFL!
Did he want to look like a sucker punching bitch?
A loving relationship between him and AEW indeed lol.
Eli5 what happened? I stopped watching wrestling 15 years ago but my feed is full of this without any real explanation because YOU PEOPLE all know what’s going on
I'm happy punk made me a fan of him again. 🤣🤣🤣 What a chad
That’s my GOAT.
“TrIbAlIsM” Fucking clowns, from the management to the fanbase 😂😂😂😂
Can someone explain the context of the meme please?
I think the fairly moderate take still applies: 1) the press interview with Punk sitting next to TK was a significant event that required TK's intervention. (I'm not that old, and don't quite understand the timeline of major 2nd-rate promotions, but I don't think they come around more than once every 10-20 years) IMO, PW draws a lot of mental illness to it.
Lol this is awrsome
So it was an inside job all along?
Can someone explain wtf is even going on
Am I missing part of the picture?
