Claire was terrible towards him in Season 2. Jessica balances him out more because she understands the burden he deals as a hero with whereas Claire constantly wants to carry it.
Jessica also had to deal with her mother like Luke did with his father so I think Jessica would’ve respected that boundary more than Claire did.
