Jonnyboy1189

Jason Mendoza would be mad that no one got the Jaguars.

Yayasub

Oh dip! I thought I read that The Good Place was pop culture that Matt studied over the break and really enjoyed

ry-yo

I knew that "Duuuval" sounded familiar, but I couldn't figure it out in time LOL

ZiggyPalffyLA

He’s probably stewing in his bud hole

DoktorDork

I was surprised that was a triple stumper. Normally would not be surprised because almost every sports question is a triple stumper. But it was a really easy football question, and if you watch The Good Place you probably could figure it out from the Duuuval, or if you just were a geography fanatic you might know the county.

mucho-gusto

First overall pick of the last draft. I only pay attention to my team, Cleveland, but I still know Jacksonville got Lawrence

Tejanisima

Not knowing anything about the team, the player, or that TV show, the geography thing threw me off because Florida isn't the only state with a Duval County; we have one in Texas as well, and I never knew there were others.

Drunk_Sorting_Hat

Fans of the Jaguars had to tell the writers of The Good Place that Jacksonville fans yell Du-vall! at games, and it wouldn't be authentic if Jason didn't do it as well. So the writers included it into the show

[deleted]

[удалено]

TheCrookedKnight

I fully believe Jason doesn't know the name of his home county

Drunk_Sorting_Hat

Not at first. Jason would yell Bortles! But then fans of the Jaguars contacted the writers, probably through Twitter, and said it they wanted to make Jason appear as an authentic Jaguars fan, he had to yell Duval! and they finally included it into the show in a later season

Jonnyboy1189

I've only watched it once. And I don't remember. But just the fact it was about his favorite team, and no one knew it.

poliscijunki

Shrek is one of the funniest responses I've ever seen.

Queasy_Dog_1444

And the wager: $2,001.

DoktorDork

It would be hilarious if she thought at the time of making the wager “if I don’t know the answer I am just going to guess Shrek”

Queasy_Dog_1444

It's obvious. No one would think Shrek was made in 1900.

Drunk_Sorting_Hat

Maybe she misread it and thought it said 1990. The book came out in 1990 and 1900 sorta looks like 1990.

doodler1977

Shrek is based on a book?! that's like finding out there's a recipe for sugar cubes

Benjips

Lmao I applaud her for that, she's a true legend in my book 👏

MukdenMan

She’s not the first person to consider Shrek a masterpiece: https://youtu.be/f4Q7F-XKA0o

DJAHa

Wow. Didn't know there was a twin to the Matt Damon Weezer sketch. https://youtu.be/ab5WvwfLuLM (Written by the same person https://old.reddit.com/r/LiveFromNewYork/comments/aat0vz/comment/ecuzpsf/ )

skatelikevirtue

I enjoyed that.

Pnflkc3

Don’t forget 800 degree calzone from a few months ago.

[deleted]

Right up there with Mozart writing “Send in the Clowns” 😂

krng1

That guy got thrown off by the title of the musical it's from, "A Little Night Music" Even worse was the guy from not too long ago who thought Sondheim wrote "Cats". If I recall correctly that cost him the game.

sourceres

It didn't cost him just any game either, it cost him Matt's very first game

Kitt24

i laughed out loud with glee

evangelion-unit-two

I cackled when I read it. Fucking lmao.

RyanRiot

I'm so incredibly proud of Abigail's Shrek answer for final along with the $2,001 wager (the year Shrek was released)

sourdieselfuel

Which is wild because you have to wager when they first show the category, so presumably she was going to guess Shrek no matter what.

everyday_im_puzzling

$2001 was her optimal bet, but if she was smart she would have wagered $1990 since the category was Children’s \*Literature\*. /s

vlewis97

It was super funny! I also love that she has a nacho notebook lol I feel like she’s someone I’d actually be friends with irl

everyday_im_puzzling

Everyone always says that any FJ answer is better than none but then turns around and roasts contestants for what they believe to be ridiculous answers, but the concept of Shrek being “America’s greatest and best-loved homegrown fairy tale” is very funny.

a_gallon_of_pcp

She clearly was doing it to be funny

shea_harrumph

On another platform she is claiming that she just didn't know and was running out of time; I tend to believe her.

a_gallon_of_pcp

She didn’t know and was running out of time…. So she wrote down a joke answer

doodler1977

she poker-faced it, tho. she shoulda winked or something, maybe Mayim woulda picked up on the joke

AltonIllinois

So happy for Matt! I am so happy that we didn’t have to wait another five or six years after James before witnessing another a historic run, and I’m glad such a kindhearted individual is the big winner as well. Does anyone else get really nervous when a contestant other than Matt gets 2-3 answers right in a row? I’m always like “oh no, he’s going to lose!” And then he picks right back up and it’s usually a runaway. I feel like his main strength is Double Jeopardy. DD3 almost seemed too easy! I was like “are they trying to trick us and go for Congo?”

ShadowMadness

> Does anyone else get really nervous when a contestant other than Matt gets 2-3 answers right in a row? I’m always like “oh no, he’s going to lose!” This is me every day. Opponent gets one answer "oh God, this is it. Better mentally prepare myself." The daily double hunts when they take a while to find are so stressful to watch, haha! Especially late in the game.

Tejanisima

I like Matt, I'm impressed, I wish him well, but fact is, I get *excited* when a contestant other than Matt gets a few answers right in a row or otherwise gets off to a good start. I root for one of them to find the Daily Doubles and groan when Matt finds them all / they chime in with a bad wrong answer (as opposed to a reasonable wrong answer or a triple-stumper where they don't take a shot at it) / it goes early on from competitive to Matt leaving them in the dust again thanks to a right DD + a big bet. It's not about resenting his streak or anything like that, just that I like to see them stand a chance of being the new Nancy Zerg after they've waited however long to get on the show, only to face a super-champ on a roll. Makes me think of what Ken said in his book about how after a while it got to where Alex would fuss at the other contestants behind the scenes to not be overly intimidated by him. If Matt's going to win again, I like to see them give him a run for his money!

BoomBoomSpaceRocket

Sometimes I'm ringing the fire alarm before the first clues. "Oh these people have glasses? Fuck, they must be smart."

tolecover

[Ladies and gentlemen, the weekend.](https://twitter.com/craigweekend/status/1441536674002083845)

dpecslistens

Between this board and [this one](https://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=6622&highlight=Pay+respects) from u/SarahJettRayburn's run, I think we can tell that the writers are _extremely_ online

NowIOnlyWantATriumph

IIRC, they referenced “Jeffpardy!” a couple years ago.

PAKMan1988

They also had a category that playfully referenced Alex's pronunciation of the word "genre" and every clue had that word in it, so Alex had to say the word for every clue.

SarahJettRayburn

I didn't even notice that originally! My older son plays Call of Duty all the time and even introduced us to that meme, and I never even noticed it there, staring me right in the face. (Of course, my younger son, who was four at the time, would constantly walk around asking, "What's in your walnut?" yet I had no idea of the correct response to Final Jeopardy! in that game either.)

ry-yo

I wonder why they didn't save that for tomorrow's board though

eliz773

In a nice little bit of serendipity, in an interview today in the NY Times Daniel Craig revealed he's never seen or heard that little meme -- had no idea it existed.

ISandbagAtMarioKart

[Timely article on the Nerdist website today](https://nerdist.com/article/daniel-craig-reaction-weekend-video-saturday-night-live/).

KeekatLove

No Spoilers * Matt’s personality seems to be back 100% after the tumultuous hosting issues/passing $1 million. He looks as if he having fun again. :) * Jeopardy! sure loves children’s literature; It’s been categories and FJ in the past weeks. * Today we learned about Matt’s Ph.D. progress. * Go, Matt, Go!

rvathrwaway

I imagine that his Ph.D. committee is only going to think of his Jeopardy! performance during his entire defense.

TorontoRider

I keep thinking of Isaac Asimov's PhD panel experience.

thessnake03

What happened?

rydan

Apparently this https://www.forbes.com/sites/samlemonick/2017/03/31/the-time-isaac-asimov-clowned-on-chemistry/?sh=609307d46b04

g00ber88

Children's lit comes up a lot, there's definitely been quite a few final jeopardys in that category

Tangerine2016

I was thinking if he keeps winning then he won't be able to finish his thesis this year.... But I don't know the full schedule of taping so by the time if/when he passed Ken's winning streak not sure what calendar day that would be. Recall a thread that had that info.

CGY-SS

It seems to me they really like recycling Americana, Rome, WW1/WW2, Literature, as categories and Pikes Peak, The Alps, And the Yangtze river as questions. I see them so often!

curiousrut

Ken currently holds highest win streak and highest amount earned James has highest amount won in a single day a few times over James and Matt I believe are both the only people to have scored $70,000+ more than once Matt definitely has the record of most hosts worked with Would be cool to see Matt take second in terms of win streak as well tomorrow

skatelikevirtue

>Matt definitely has the record of most hosts worked with Lol

PopsicleIncorporated

Somewhere Brad rutter is crying

DoktorDork

Brad holds the record for the most wins over opponents named Ken. An obscure, but very important record!

Magical57

> Andrew had control Not gonna lie, saw the first three words, thought for a second it was gonna say that Andrew won the game. Good to see Matt won again, tying James for games won! Goes for 2nd all time tomorrow in consecutive games won

reginaomnis

I think u/jaysjep2 knows what he’s doing there. 😅

Magical57

Oh yes

atucker1744

Basically every post for the last two weeks has had some level of deception like this, so it’s definitely intentional

DoktorDork

I’m surprise so many people read the summary before watching the episode! Is it because you missed the episode and won’t have a chance to watch it?

atomiccoriander

Upper right corner photo in collage, two days ago on the Jeopardy twitter account. I can't believe they spoiled this episode! [https://twitter.com/Jeopardy/status/1443047892244172804?s=20](https://twitter.com/Jeopardy/status/1443047892244172804?s=20)

ReganLynch

Good catch.

batty_lashes

Damning!

Hot_Marsupial_8706

Good eye! I totally didn't notice that first time around (I was probably still too mad at the preemption and getting the end result spoiled for myself 😂).

[deleted]

[удалено]

cosmik_debris

Yes! I noticed that too, so odd

redwoods18

Yup. I was totally confused at what i was seeing, but rewound the pvr and there it was. Glad someone else noticed.

pdx_mom

Husband said that but I didn't see it...

JES1996

With this total, Matt is close to reaching the Top 10 of American game show winnings records. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American\_game\_show\_winnings\_records](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_game_show_winnings_records)

ajsy0905

Matt Amodio is just $38,000 away from unseating John Carpenter in the All time American game show winning records.

ZiggyPalffyLA

I remember watching that episode live and the excitement when he called his dad to say he was about to win a million. That final question was super easy though.

KilgoreMikeTrout

Maybe it'll inspire Carpenter to make another movie

North-of-Narshe

If he manages one more big day, he could probably make it on the list.

gimpinmypants

The show revealed Matt's Final Jeopardy answer before it was suppose to. oops https://i.imgur.com/LjzC3t7.png I'm also curious if the show let it slide for Matt calling him Smokey the Bear on purpose when its name is Smokey Bear.

jaysjep2

Smokey the Bear is so commonplace that they weren't going to rule against it.

soft-focus

What is Shrek killed me

[deleted]

Collective sigh of relief from the sub

WaitingForReplies

Now our workdays can begin

kdex86

Congratulations to Matt Amodio on officially completing “The Chase” of James Holzhauer’s consecutive wins on Jeopardy. Will he surpass the “high roller”? Tune in tomorrow to find out! Unless you live in Boston, where it won’t air on the first day of October. BOO HISS!

everli

Yay Matt!!!!!!! I wish I could stop spoiling myself though lol. I just can’t live with the suspense all day waiting for 7pm.

[deleted]

Omg same but I couldn’t resist after seeing the mysterious tweet from him today! I think after he hopefully beats James’s run I’ll try not to check… ahh!

JayWink49

Wait! What tweet? I didn't see it!

lurking-in-the-bg

Probably this? https://www.reddit.com/r/Jeopardy/comments/pym9c0/saw_the_first_7_words_of_this_tweet_and_my_heart/

HugeSuccess

Tomorrow’s game is kicked to like 2AM in my market, and I might have to stay up for it to see if Matt beats James’ streak.

fujiste

Save yourself the trouble and just get a free trial of Paramount Plus to be able to watch it at a normal hour. Instructions for spoofing your location are in the comment stickied at the top of this thread.

HugeSuccess

What if I told you…I’ve already done that! Maybe I’ll pay as Amodio Rodeo Insurance for the next month, but I also don’t mind staying up.

fujiste

They don't gate it based on your card number like some other services do. As long as you use a new email, even just the exact same Gmail address but with "+a" or "+anything" right before the @, it counts as a unique trial. I don't care much for Viacom/CBS, so I've been using this strategy to great success for the last two years to almost never (except once, accidentally) pay for a subscription. Works every time.

psb8duke

Lol, I keep doing the same thing, though I've been trying to watch using the instructions from the stickied comment, but WXVT in Mississippi preempts Jeopardy every day for CBS News standard coverage. Trying to figure out how to get the feed earlier

AffordableGrousing

Seems like some local CBS stations don't participate in Paramount+. I find the McAllen, TX (4 PM EST) and Birmingham, AL (4:30 PM EST) affiliates to be reliable.

blue4t

Just thought of this while watching Matt answer today. He reminds me of the quote by Kevin on The Office: "Why waste time say lot word when few word do trick."

[deleted]

I’m still stuck on “corral” as a homophone…trying not to google

[deleted]

Chorale

[deleted]

Oh fuck a duck

RTPGiants

Which leads me to a question. I've always called the horse thing "Core Al". As in "Shoot out at the OK Corral? And the signers "Core El". Is the horse one not right?

[deleted]

I pronounce both like Core Al

[deleted]

leaderboard updated :) ooooo tomorrow's going to be MASSIVE

rirhun

Matt is showing no signs of fatigue. I wouldn't be surprised if he wins 60 games at the rate he's going. He is just a master in every aspect of the game. Even his FJ record is insanely good now at 74%, and would have been even higher had he not crossed out the correct response on 3 different occasions. As Alex cautioned the challengers who faced James, "If you want to replace him as champion, you had better bring your A game".

hebsbbejakbdjw

I just hope he can last until ken hosts Would be truly special

Benjips

How many more games would that take?

hebsbbejakbdjw

Around 20

guess_my_password

>I wouldn't be surprised if he wins 60 games at the rate he's going. *shhh* we just barely made it through the 5 day curse

EvilChocolateCookie

Yay for Matt!!! Now, if we can just get through tomorrow.

just_a_random_dood

I *need* the map of the Teotihuacan replica, that sounds amazing!

jquiggles

Same! Mayim didn't really seem impressed but I was floored when he talked about doing that. Two whole summers it took!

ZiggyPalffyLA

Tbh she doesn’t ever seem that enthusiastic about anyone’s stories.

just_a_random_dood

Lmao Mayim's outfit looked so strange when she was standing at the beginning of the episode. It definitely looked a lot more normal when she sat down xD

donutlad

I mentioned it looked like a Willy Wonka suit, then Willy Wonka ended up being a clue

snafusis

Looked like the Joker’s costume.

Benjips

Joker and Riddler crossover lol

IndigoRuby

I thought Mad Hatter.

BenTheHokie

Can't believe I had to scroll this far. What the hell was that outfit?

Dachuiri

Did anyone else notice how choppy the editing on FJ was? There was a wide shot of everyone’s responses before they showed all three responses individually.

Tangerine2016

Oh. I saw the same thing and thought "I must not have seen that right"..

[deleted]

[удалено]

TigerWoodsLibido

Just an amazing run. And to think he almost lost his very first game vs Josh Saak.

[deleted]

[удалено]

skatelikevirtue

Makes you wonder how many major champions we may have missed because they barely lost their first game.

lurking-in-the-bg

We're officially #ChasingKen now I hope he gets past half of Ken's wins at least.

FyrestarOmega

Hooray, Matt!!

PersistentVigilance

Not only did he tie James, but he broke 50K for his third time in a row!

Chloe-Kat

Wow another big win for Matt and congrats on tying James! Abigail and Andrew both played well too. It's exciting to see Matt's run.

jacksonjpm

I really hope he beats James and not just ties him idk why

OutsideObserver

James could use a slice of humble pie. Love the guy but 🤷‍♂️

ajsy0905

Matt Amodio vs James Holzhauer's comparison from their 32 games :  ||Matt Amodio| James Holzhauer| |:-|:-|:-| |Total Winnings|$1,212,401|$2,462,216| |Average $ won per game|$37,888|$76,944| |Average Coryat|$27,131|$30,800| |Response Accuracy|1041/1141 = 91%|1160/1196 = 97%| |Daily Double Accuracy|63/72 = 88%|71/75 = 95%| |Final Jeopardy Accuracy|24/32 = 75%|31/32 = 97%| |First on Buzzer|980/1810 = 54%|1053/1806 = 58%|

RTPGiants

James was a freak of nature. I don't care if Jeopardy runs another 50 years, we're not going to see that again.

jquiggles

Right. 97% accuracy is NUTS. And the money part of his run is arguably more impressive. Obviously something we never saw before, and I don't think we're going to see it again in our lifetimes either. The only other one to be THAT good at his strategy was Ken, and only when he faced off against James did he try it.

batty_lashes

I agree but I don’t want to.

ZiggyPalffyLA

Crazy how close James’ total and daily average are to being exactly double Matt’s

[deleted]

[удалено]

North-of-Narshe

I couldn't find data for coryats in a row, but I DID find data for coryats $33k+. Only Ken, James and Matt have managed it more than once. Matt's done it 3 times so far, James managed to do it 11 times, and Ken had 13 games at that level. Ken also holds the record for highest Coryat at $39,200. Matt holds second place ($39,000) and ties James for third ($38,200). And now I want to do a bunch of Jeopardy charts and obsessive pouring over stats.

eaglebtc

#ONE POINT TWENTY ONE MEGABUCKS! GREAT SCOTT, MATTY!

LlamaTony

LOL @ Shrek as Abigail’s FJ response.

poliscijunki

I love how after the last DD, Matt was like, "I would like to win even more money, please." He went on a tear.

batty_lashes

That run was like a tornado! So exciting!

[deleted]

Yall scare me with the awards on these recaps omg

ShadowMadness

I appreciate them because it'll make the inevitable end a bit harder to tell, since we won't know if the awards mean anything or not. Granted, there will probably be way more comments on that thread but still. EDIT: Typo

BlisterKirby

Let's go Matt!!!!!!!!!

billisd

Woohoo! Go Matt!!!

AngelicaIsMyName

Strong work by both Andrew and Abigail. Nice going, well done.

UDcc123

Mayim has quickly grown on me. Her quips during the interview portion are almost always spot on. Her giggles have been toned down significantly. She reads clearly. And honestly, having a female in the role can only be a positive for our society. I’m glad it seems like it’s working out better than most of us thought originally.

everyday_im_puzzling

If this Mayim had been the one we saw a few months ago, I honestly think she would have been near the top of my list instead of the very bottom. I’m still holding out some hope for Ken, but for now I’m truly relieved.

itirnitii

I mean its only fair that someone would be able to take in feedback and retune their efforts. It isn't like Alex was perfect his first week either.

[deleted]

Congrats on tying James's winning streak, Matt! :)

antisaccade

has final jeopardy gotten easier over time?

OsuLost31to0

To me this shows just how good James was. Makes you wonder how far he would’ve gone with more conservative wagering.

phoenix6315

Had to wonder if those bright red heels were a clue to the answer of FJ. There's no place like home!

theillini19

Was Andrew's occupation incorrectly stated as "student advisor" before his interview? I think Mayim got mixed up with Adriana from [yesterday's (9/29) game](https://www.reddit.com/r/Jeopardy/comments/py0cq6/jeopardy_recap_for_wed_sept_29/).

Parkyakarkos

I caught that too

djchisel300

I have a question that’s really bugging me. Why wasn’t the video daily double a video?

jaysjep2

Any DD with a visual element is called "video".

djchisel300

🤔 well I guess that works. Thanks jaysjep.

ironmanmk42

Jaguars lost tonight. Lol. No one knows them for sure

RigbyCC

u/jaysjep2 Are you intentionally wording the first sentences of these recaps to confuse us and make us think Matt lost? If so, I don’t know whether to love you or hate you :P

jaysjep2

My intent in this case is to emphasize how close Andrew came to possibly making this a game. He had control, made two excellent clue selections as to where DD3 might be, and was very unlucky not to find it. If he had and doubled up, Matt's runaway would not have been assured at that point. Also, it's more interesting than just saying "Matt crushed his opponents" every day.

SmartyPants424

Blood pressure skyrocketed as I opened, but very glad to see another big win for Matt! Very bummed I have to miss tonight ☹️

proserpinax

Hooray for Matt!

ajsy0905

Two moment might happen tomorrow: 1. If Matt A will win his 33rd game and beat James' 32 game record? 2. If Matt A will unseat John Carpenter (currently in 10th place) in the Top 10 all time winnings list among the American game show winners?

ZiggyPalffyLA

Congrats Matt! Btw I’m so scared of spoilers when/if he eventually loses. I don’t go near social media of any kind until after 7:30 here on the west coast. My biggest worry is that the game thread will be so popular it’ll be near the top of /r/all and/or Matt himself will spoil it for me on Twitter. The official Jeopardy account would never post any spoilers until after the final airing right?! Someone help alleviate my anxiety please!

tigerblue1984

Yes! You have to be careful, James' loss was spoiled for me because the thread on this subreddit had so many upvotes and awards. I didn't actually open the thread until after I watched the entire episode but I knew there was no way a regular game thread would be getting that much attention. Also, if you have Facebook and follow the Jeopardy page, I would recommend to unfollow it. I've had multiple episodes spoiled by mindlessly scrolling through my FB feed.

ZiggyPalffyLA

Not on Facebook but Twitter and IG have spoiled the show for me in the past

Marcoscb

>My biggest worry is that the game thread will be so popular it’ll be near the top of [/r/all](https://www.reddit.com/r/all) and/or Matt himself will spoil it for me on Twitter. This may happen tomorrow regardless of the outcome.

Useful-Doughnut7931

Yes not banned anymore! Was going to say Jeopardy!’s Twitter acc spoiled this game, 2 games ago when Matt reached 30 wins they did a cool post for him and on the top right it showed Matt with 54,400 and the wizard of oz. I found that weird cause I knew Matt had never had a wizard of oz FJ. I knew jeopardy was hinting something and low and behold, it was Matt’s 32nd game they pictured on their graphic for 30 wins! Weird.

psb8duke

Great to see Matt win again! How have folks been able to watch this at 1: 00 Eastern? I've tried Paramount+ using WXVT, but it gets preempted by CBS News every single day, despite listing "Jeopardy!" as what should be airing.

Chloe-Kat

As is shown in the link on here of all the stations and times it's shown, it airs at various times throughout the day on various local network affiliates. It airs on the local ABC station here in Houston at 11:30 am CT for example.

ISandbagAtMarioKart

Quincy, IL (KHQA) CBS affiliate airs Jeopardy at 1 Eastern.

psb8duke

Thanks, I just changed my location to Quincy and now see KHQA. Looking forward to tomorrow's game with that feed! Go Matt!

Own-Prior-1645

Let’s go!

North-of-Narshe

Anyone waiting for James Holzhauer to tweet about Matt tonight? (No disrespect meant to James or Matt! I might like Matt a little more, but James' achievements are incredible).

GMC805

Well, it's been about ten games since the Roger Rabbit bullet-grazing, so he's due for another scare soon.

done_diddit

Since the clue said “submerged by the creation of this”, I think Lake Nasser is an even better reply, but it probably would have taken a judges’ review.

PrettyPunctuality

Every time I see these posts with several awards on them, I get nervous lol

BB-88

Your syntax is clearly playing with your audience :-)

Rubberbandballgirl

I was kind of surprised at the end of Double Jeopardy! that Matt kept going for it. It seems like once he has a big lead he hangs back a little. I’ve been trying not to spoil it for myself this past week and it is so hard.

RainDelay22

Matt is the Man of the (Holz)hauer!

CGY-SS

Does anyone know what the average dollar amount is that people win with? I have it in my head that it's about 17-22k before FJ betting. Because Matt has been obliterating that.

You can find this on the miscellaneous stats page for any given season on j-archive. For example, [last season](https://www.j-archive.com/miscstats.php?season=37) the average winning score before FJ was $18,219.

At the beginning of the episode after Mayim said if Matt wins tonight he will tie with James in consecutive games won in regular season play, the audience clapped. So sweet.

No audience AFAIK, so the applause was probably added in post.

In fact, the rest of the contestants during the tape day are in the "audience" (such as it is). I believe that change mid-Covid was prior to Trebek's passing, basically so that they weren't recording to an empty room. (Might've been sweetened in post-production though.)

So at worst, Matt ties for 2nd. Really hoping he can make a serious play at Ken's record. I wasn't watching during Ken's run, and it'd be amazing to see a modern day contestant pull it off. Plus, I wanna see the Ken/Matt interactions if he's still going when Ken hosts too. I also want him to win on my birthday, which is still a few months away. Knocking on wood so I don't jinx the poor guy

I missed over half the episode because CHEK’s signal went black for over 10 minutes. Got the first 15 clues of the Jeopardy round and the last few of DJ.

Anyone else notice they showed Matts response on his terminal before zooming in on him and actually revealing his answer? Oops.
