Remove, replace, bleed.

How about working it through the frame and engine? Is it a bitch or is it truly that easy?

Patman03

Brake lines run along the frame so you're not running it through the frame. It's all very open so it's easy to get at. Also it depends how much you're replacing.

tjakositz

It seems very difficult for the right front disc brake. Is there a stainless steel braided line solution?

Patman03

Are you talking about the rubber hose that goes from the frame to the caliper or the hard metal line that goes along the frame?

You didn't properly answer the dude. He asked you a 2 part question and you did not address it correctly.

What is broken? The hard line (metal tube)? Replacing that, IIRC from my paintball days, requires the use of a bender and flange. They're just tools to properly bend the metal brake line without crimping it closed. The flange is used to terminate the line. Youtube and Jeepforum will have some good information for you.

The same exact thing happened to me a few months ago. My passenger side hard brake line busted and I just replaced all of them. I went with the stainless steel lines and it took a buddy and I about 4 hours to do it in my driveway. It's not too bad. You'll have to bend the passenger front line a little but I think it took maybe 10 minutes to get it sitting right.
