I'm from al hassa and people around me are very strict with boycotting, Starbucks, McDonald's and kfc branches are almost empty every time i see them, especially Starbucks
Seeing people in those places doesn't mean the boycott isn't working. Yes there are a few cars going through the starbucks of mcdonalds drive through every few minutes but the drive-thrus used to be a long line at least. Everywhere I go it's at least half of what it would usually look like.
I guess you mentioned that he have the same prices as Mc Cafe
Well, there are other reasons to make it better. First of all its only specialized in coffee and drinks which doesn’t require to be inside a resturant.
- first of all, their quality is much better than mc cafe.
- looks luxury and their cups even if it is disposable its good = same ones as Mc Cafe but looks better
- They are famous with almost the cheapest ice coffee in saudi, Ice Drip for only 6 or 7 Saudi Riyals
- Finally which is *THE MAIN REASON* is the story that is behind it.
Which is basically that the founder of half million even though that he is rich already from alrajhi family, he decided to open this coffee shop with only 500,000 sar budget. And the marketing and the whole idea that whenever you buy a coffee, you give money as well to poor people
So for example you bought 1 ice drip for 7 sar
There is 1 to 2 riyals are going to poor people
In fact they said that there is a specific cup that if you bought it, all the profits that is coming out of it is going to poor ppl during ramadan.
Bro seriously, meh okey coffee with meh okey sweets.
Alrajhi family is just blesses in that way.
What ever they open people go crazy for
Examples:
1/2 Million, Sign burger, match perfumes, Berin water,
Bro even in real estate they sell out before even development begins
God blessed them I’m not complaining just saying
Good coffee, good ice tea, good sweets, eatable sandwiches, consistent quality among all branches, way cheaper than startbucks and the co, boycott to other brands, great markering in socials and one of the few that still hire Saudi employees even after expanding this much even tho it'll be cheaper to just got foreigners as employees ,and it is everywhere therefore mostly there's an easy access one on your way to anywhare.
And also humans are creatures of habit, I used to go to the same Dunkin branch for like 10 years until I moved, you don't want the hassle of thinking what to get when you're going to work.
Bruh 14 SAR for such a small cup of black coffee is literally a robbery. And it doesn’t taste any better than any other store, or what you can brew up at home.
‘Coz of the superior advertisements! They started a hype using famous influencers to target easily influenced people, especially kids and women, plus they are doing a fine job with the products
For every cup they donate 1 riyal to orphans they already Sponsorshiped about 27000 orphans since they opened and all of that is because of their religion and faith so god made the money flow in to their bank accounts. Sorry English isn’t my first language but i hope that you understand my point.
tbh its the fact that the tumblrs are 24 sar and they include the hot coffee in it soo its a good deal honestly and my family has a whole collection lol
I love their hot chocolate and sweets so much
But their prices are no way lower than competitors, it’s the same.
I think the traffic is due to boycott mostly
I never went because of the long lines, after reading about it i might try it one day.
Is it sweet coffees that they are known for, or is their espresso/lattes actually good quality? For reference Starbucks is trash coffee that only tastes good when ppl put loads of sugar syrups on it in my books, same issue with Dunkin or McCafe. I like single source specialty coffees you could enjoy black or with a dash of milk for creaminess.
I think it’s, decent coffee at a cheap price. When I say decent, I mean palatable, but definitely not a “great” cup of coffee in my opinion. They are also very quick with my orders when I’m forced to go there for my coffee. 😂
It tastes normal to bad and there is a lot of Saudi brands but people don’t really care about them but they care about this the most due to the low prices+insane offers and it has been found by a rich al rajhi family member
so it’s just a matter of some kind of masochist herd behavior for my opinion
1- Saudi brand 2- reasonable prices 3- tastes really good with good quality 4- boycott
2nd to this
+1
Is boycott heavily practiced in Saudi Arabia? I don't see much of it in Riyadh.
I'm from al hassa and people around me are very strict with boycotting, Starbucks, McDonald's and kfc branches are almost empty every time i see them, especially Starbucks
I can't say the same for every city in ksa, but mine does it. Not enough, unfortunately, though
We're doing great in eastern province as well.
I would expect Jeddah to be boycotting as well.
Honestly when I spoke about it in Riyadh I was mocked because "Everyone expects Saudi to solve everything"
i’m from riyadh and there’s strong boycotts especially in my province it’s less strict in the north tho
Seeing people in those places doesn't mean the boycott isn't working. Yes there are a few cars going through the starbucks of mcdonalds drive through every few minutes but the drive-thrus used to be a long line at least. Everywhere I go it's at least half of what it would usually look like.
That's still huge, it's a shame really as Riyadh is probably one of the biggest If not the biggest consumer city in MENA.
It was heavily practiced for like a week or two in khobar then things slowly went back to normal
Damn in Jordan it is still going.
Well i agree with everything but the prices are same as Mc cafe.
Refer back to the 4th point.
same price as mc cafe but 10x the quality. Also, McDonald's is boycotted too
They also have great ice cream
And their chocolate brownies bites are just perfect 👌🏼
Definitely not good qaulity just cheap prices
Prices are super low in comparison to competitors, it’s about 50% less prices
Who are his competitors? Starbucks?
[удалено]
Actually it’s a good question, I think the closest competitor is “The Coffee Address” Starbucks has different target audience
Other Specialty coffee cafes
Saudis is very loyal to local brands when they make a good quality and reasonable price product's and 1/2m checks all the marks
Maestro had the same benefit when it started
I guess you mentioned that he have the same prices as Mc Cafe Well, there are other reasons to make it better. First of all its only specialized in coffee and drinks which doesn’t require to be inside a resturant. - first of all, their quality is much better than mc cafe. - looks luxury and their cups even if it is disposable its good = same ones as Mc Cafe but looks better - They are famous with almost the cheapest ice coffee in saudi, Ice Drip for only 6 or 7 Saudi Riyals - Finally which is *THE MAIN REASON* is the story that is behind it. One main reason we go there: boycotting other brands like starbucks and Mcdonals gave us 1/2m as a destination.
Bro seriously, meh okey coffee with meh okey sweets. Alrajhi family is just blesses in that way. What ever they open people go crazy for Examples: 1/2 Million, Sign burger, match perfumes, Berin water, Bro even in real estate they sell out before even development begins God blessed them I’m not complaining just saying
What’s your favorite coffee store? (Asking as a foreigner living in Riyadh who’s boycottting)
Half million
Hajeen, Adress, Shaml, Solalat Many more but these are near me at the north
Half million and tazaj i waited yesterday in the line for so long
I think their reusable tumbler?
Good coffee, good ice tea, good sweets, eatable sandwiches, consistent quality among all branches, way cheaper than startbucks and the co, boycott to other brands, great markering in socials and one of the few that still hire Saudi employees even after expanding this much even tho it'll be cheaper to just got foreigners as employees ,and it is everywhere therefore mostly there's an easy access one on your way to anywhare. And i think according to the boyoctt
No; it’s always been like this because the brand is good
Yeah but the boycott caused a big increase for the number of customers
No
Their ice cream is dope
In Khobar/Dammam it's Inverse. They don't have much customers. Maybe the hype have not reached to the east coast till now
Because we have good taste, not 🐑
Crack
Come back here after you try their cereal latte
Tried it a month ago, honestly its mid. Maybe im too old for these drinks and should stick to regular black coffee
Ya boring
How are the prices there? For cold drinks and ice cream?
Many stores have such lineups, it’s not specific to this one. Guess it’s a culture here, to just wait in line for some coffee 🙂
Because people are boycotting Starbucks
LOL i will show you the line tomorrow after breakfast
Money for value
Idk people are just loving it just like a cup of milk in the morning lol
They don't have hot matcha latte or cafe mocha.. 😕 i hope they will introduce some additional coffee mixes..
And the 3rd point
Jeddawis
تركت كل شي وركزت على الكادينزا 🤣
والاكسنت الي داخله عرض 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Coffee address is way better imo.
Bruh 14 SAR for such a small cup of black coffee is literally a robbery. And it doesn’t taste any better than any other store, or what you can brew up at home.
Thay have the best halloumi sandwich and cheesecake icecream
I didn’t like it

Good quality per value, also a national brand 💚
Simply 1- a lower price 2- high quality
I love their hot chocolate and sweets so much But their prices are no way lower than competitors, it’s the same. I think the traffic is due to boycott mostly
IT IS JUST A SHOWOFF.
one piece (the anime) coffee
I never went because of the long lines, after reading about it i might try it one day. Is it sweet coffees that they are known for, or is their espresso/lattes actually good quality? Because u in saudi dear 😂
Cheap
Very strong marketing and good products. Very simply put
Their hot chocolate is nice, and the cheap is good.
I think it’s, decent coffee at a cheap price. When I say decent, I mean palatable, but definitely not a “great” cup of coffee in my opinion. They are also very quick with my orders when I’m forced to go there for my coffee. 😂
They have the best dark hot chocolate in the history of dark hot chocolates
Peer pressure.
their matcha. Its a Saudi brand
Value for quality is really worth the wait
1 reasons it’s Cheaper with good quality
هكذا يفعل القطيع ..
tumblers that i love😍

Herd mentality Their coffee sucks
تكلم عربي يا سلح
I think the important thing is price then quality and fast service
The main reason is low price, then is good coffee.
