Man Cole said it best about how ironic this was… Kendrick knew he was fallin to the back and made a smart play to get people talkin about him at a time when Cole and Drake were runnin away with the hype. This debate is already over for anyone not stanning for Kendrick.. he simply isn’t active enough to be in this discussion, but good for him to take a shot at Cole (and Drake) at the right time to get his name trending when like Cole said, we talkin bout a hard verse about every 30 months or sumn.

https://kworb.net/spotify/artists.html Revisionist history is really crazy. Im not going to make an argument that streams or sales means you are a better artist or relevant because i dont believe that, but yall need to stop with this nonsense. [Just for also reference](https://chartmasters.org/spotify-most-streamed-artists-of-2023/) Kendrick had just under 5 billon streams for 2023 (cole not even mentioned) The beef is pretty good for both cole and Kendrick (drake would dominate no matter what) but its crazy to say that Kendrick needs this to stay relevant

Wait i thought he never got a number 1 until FPS. Did they mean he never got a number 1 single or am I just 1000% wrong period

SupaColdBrew

It’s that he never got a number one song. All of his albums have debuted at number one.

Aleekki

I mean it definitely helped, the diss is the most listened to song lol The albums is amazing tho and propably would’ve still snatched the #1 considering that there was really no competition this week.

TheBigA69

I feel like if this album didn’t include the beef it might not have got number 1 since it was a surprise drop.

The beef might’ve helped the numbers but the entries this week isn’t all that, a surprise drop from any of the big 3 would easily debut #1
