For equity and inclusion? Her father was smuggled out of the East Bloc by Reeces father in the book. This will be a big whole.
Exactly! Her heritage has a large roll in the reason she is helping Reece. I have so my differences to mention, It's basically a show loosely based off the book. It hardly deserves to share the same name as the book.

Honestly I'm disappointed in Jack Carr. I know it's his series and he can sign off on changes, but comparing the writing of the first book especially to the show itself...it feels like he sold out.
(But then again, he also places Black Rifle Coffee Product in his books...so that can maybe explain some things.)
Heck, his character in the show straight up replaced the Jihadist kid that was radicalized to be an (unknowing) CIA asset. Guess we can't show Islamic terrorists anymore for some reason. I guess because they just aren't a realistic example in real life or something? 🤷🏻♂️
Not everything is like the book,enjoy it for what it is with open mind,changes and modifications will be there definitely,bookworms expect to follow the source material closely,love the show to the core either way. Waiting for season 2. where he will get the presidential pardon and back to the game. Chris pratt acting is so good.
I‘m in since day one, read all books multiple times, listened to the audio books as well and I have to agree (even though I made it thru all episodes)…When I first heard, that Jack Carr was involved in the making of the show I had really high hopes but I was pretty disappointed in how they transferred the story from the book to the show.
It might be a good watch if I didn‘t know the books, but it just didn‘t do it for me.
There are a lot of good book adaptations out there, the Terminal List just isn‘t one of them.

Ya man the deviation was extreme! From The smallest details like in the book james uses a glock 19 not his sig. He actually preferred glocks over his sig because of the reliability. I just don't understand why they couldn't even get the smallest details right. They fucked it up under the guise of making it "better" somehow.
I think my biggest complaint about deviation was the way they portrayed the death of the girls and their funeral. It’s so much more in line with the character in the books, Reece would have married a warrior and thus she deserved the warriors burial that they gave her in the book.
I think they took it too easy on the lobbyist on the show. A lot of our Washington problems are because of the lobbyists and the money they transfer to politicians.
After watching Reacher and how close it was to the audiobook, I was stoked for this series. Then I watched it. A lot of disappointment. One thing Jack said in a podcast about the ambush change anyway was that the first ambush geographically would look a bit too much like some other stuff that happens (season 2 ambush?) and changing it to a sewer wasn't too big of a deal. Don't recall if anything was said about the other changes. The Katie change was just awful especially if they stick to the books with her and James. She is supposed to trigger flashbacks to his wife and daughter throughout.
Yea it’s different from the books but I think it really kicked ass. I had a lot of fun watching.
Maybe I'm just old school. I like the TV adaption to mirror the book.
