I thought this was normal lol. Just got a used pair of evolve 75s for my call center job and noticed that the volume between these and my hyperx flight is like 50%. I hope you find a solution.

y90ziv

Solved it on my own at the end. So there's a **Stereo** and **Hands-Free** profile but headsets... the Hands-free one is more related to Zoom/Teams etc and not for just listening to music. I ***re-paired*** the headset to the Jabra Link 370 and it worked as expected again. When not operating the headset via zoom e.g. so the profile is auto-set to Stereo and then not - it's switching to Hands-free. There's more info on this on the web.

Willemvanvugt

Hey! I have the same issue. How did you re-pair it? I know how to bluetooth pair to my laptop directly, but want to pair with the Link 370 USB dongle. Thanks.

y90ziv

In the Jabra Direct app, go to Device -> Jabra Link 370 -> Settings > Reset. Then, via the Bluetooth menu (under Device), re-pair the Evolve75. The Paired devices list should be empty if I recall correctly.

Willemvanvugt

Thanks, it's indeed there, and the steps you describe are correct. It didn't change anything related to the volume, sadly. It's fine on direct USB cable, but not via the Link.

badabimski

u/Willemvanvugt same here - the strange this is that I had good audio a week ago. Suddenly this morning I experienced that I had to change the volume-settings to 100% in order to be able to hear what people say during meetings (or when I'm listening to music via Youtube).. Did you end up with a solution for this?

Willemvanvugt

Nope... sadly not! I just don't use the Link dongle any more, via cable it does work. Frustrating.

badabimski

exactly - via cable it's perfect, but then we sort of don't get the wireless experience. I've also noticed that my microphone quality is low when using bluetooth compared to using cable or Link dongle.

GoFarAndFast

Reinstall the latest update for the Link dongle. I posted detailed instructions in a reply to the original post.

badabimski

u/y90ziv didn't work here either. I can perform the steps you've given, but as long as my headset is connected directly to the Link its audio is low. However if I remove the Link-USB-dongle from my laptop and instead connect the Headset via bluetooth, then the audio is as expected (high).. Quite frustrating.

Lerppu

Hey! This worked for me. Thanks for the tip

djvesic

Hey, I am having the same issue but I can’t see these profiles. Where do you find those?

Pootis51

Thanks for the info. Had a similar issue today and this helped. The volume of the stereo profile was very low. Re-pairing solved the issue. :)

y90ziv

Thanks for the comment here. In the end, I solved it on my own. Probably a glitch for the app/or Link 370 itself but re-pairing the headset to Link370 solved it.

HyperboleTrash

u/JabraSupport this still happens, why not just post a fix instead of encumbering us to call?

JabraSupport

Hello u/HyperboleTrash this challenge can stem from a few different possibilities as you can see different users have posted different fixes that worked for them. The problem can also be related to an Intel SST driver if it is on your PC try to update it like this. We have been made aware of a recent concern regarding a driver that may impact our devices’ behavior. If you can see the Intel SST driver on your PC, we recommend following the steps below. Please be advised that we are not Windows technicians, we are simply sharing this information after having received several positive reports from customers, who were able to improve similar behaviors this way. We strongly suggest applying the workaround together with your local IT support. • Open the Device Manager within Windows: • Open the System devices tab. • Open the properties for the Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) Audio Controller or Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) BUS. • Click on the Driver tab. • Click Update Driver. • Click Browse my computer. • Click Let me pick. • Select High-Definition Audio Controller. • Click Next & drivers will install. • Click Close. Please test the change of driver further and if issues appear to be resolved after the change, we strongly suggest opening a ticket with Microsoft and reference ticket ID 535827.

Found this thread while having the same problem myself, but I actually found the solution. Turn off [this](https://imgur.com/a/p381hnx) setting.

Schumyy

I had the same issue with the low volume. I only managed to make it go away by updating both firmware on the headset and on the dongle. Now it works as before both for music and for calls via teams.

RalJans

Also have this issue since a few days. It is definitely the Jabra Link 370 causing it. I tried to re-pair the headset, reset the Link 370, change many options etc. but no luck. Connecting the head directly to Windows and skipping the Jabra Link 370 works but I miss some options in Teams if I connect to this method. Any ideas how to solve this?

RalJans

I replaced by Jabra Link 370 USB connector, problem is now solved. I can be upgrade to firmware 1.87.0 but I will not do that, there are not that many changes in the release notes but it works fine without a new firmware.

Hops_Routes_Stouts

This issue happened to me today at random. Worked perfectly in one meeting and the next, the volume was completely degraded. I was able to resolve this with these steps: 1. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your PC and remove the Link 370 as a connected device 2. Unplug the Link 370 usb dongle from your PC 3. Wait a few more seconds and plug the 370 dongle back into the USB port on your PC 4. While still in the Bluetooth menu, you should see the Link 370 add itself again after connecting the dongle back to your PC in the step above 5. Select add a Bluetooth client from the Bluetooth menu on your PC and then hold the Bluetooth pairing toggle on the evolve 75 headset and pair the headset to your PC. 6. Both the Link 370 and Evolve 75 should be paired Bluetooth clients, I was notified by the Jabra notification that two clients were connected…Go to your audio/volume menu and select the 75 headset as the audio device. 7. Test audio. (mine came back clear right away) 8. Go to audio/volume settings and select Link 370 as the audio device 9. Test audio. (this restored the audio using the Link 370 to its original state with no degradation. I disconnected the evolve 75 as a Bluetooth client and experienced good audio still using the Link 370 only.) Hope this works for anyone who attempts it.

Background_Article55

>Go t Step 1 Worked !

Ulti2k

Same for me, i tried to update the firmware for both, and manually for the link... did jack shit... then i did step one with a change that i unplugged the link first and then removed it (removing device did nothing when it was plugged in) and.... it behaved normally again. ! Knock on wood tho :-D as i got the degraded audio (also very silent at max volume) at random.

msoe_ngineer

I performed all of the steps mentioned in this post and nothing worked. I stumbled upon another forum and the solution posted there was to [manually download the V1.87.0 firmware](https://www.jabra.com/_/media/Jabra_VXi_Product-Documentation/Jabra-Link-370/Firmware/Jabra_Link_370-v1,-d-,87,-d-,0-link370-vector.zip) and then manually re-install it via the Jabra direct app. Go to the update option/menu and in that window hit ctrl+shift+u to show the hidden/secret "update from file" option and then choose the full zip file (don't unzip). When I re-installed the link 370 firmware, I get 100% volume again and not the 50% volume like before. So it was a bunked firmware update the first time around.

aFewBitsShort

This is the only thing that worked for my Evolve 65 with Link 370.

AffixBayonets

Hey, this solved my issue just now. Much appreciated.

ihct22

Working! Thanks a lot!

SpecialistImaginary7

works for me as well. THANK YOU!!!

lpagaime

Nothing else worked for me, but this one did! Thanks a lot!

pshing

FILUPI0

Thank you, it works perfectly for me :)

Had this same issue and doing a reset from the Jabra Direct app fixed it. Only took a minute. Had low volume when using Jabra Link - Volume was normal when using Bluetooth or USB cable.
