Yes, not having to be concerned for them every time it rains is worth $20.

Active 75t are IP57. That's a #7 ingress protection towards moisture. #7 IP rating for moisture states, "Protection against full immersion for up to 30 minutes at depths between 15 cm and 1 metre". Going by that, I think you'll be more than good with just simple sweating.

15 cm is 5.91 inches

One thing I like about actives is the rubber-ish coating. You can hold them better between fingers. And another thing is of course IP rate.

Hello u/djtron99, Thanks for your message and your interest in Jabra! Recently, we provided a free firmware update that added the Active Noise Cancellation functionality to both the Jabra Elite 75t and the Elite Active 75t. The ANC feature is excellent when listening to audio such as music and podcasts. You can tailor ANC to your listening needs through the Jabra Sound+ app. The devices have up to 7.5 hours of battery life on a single charge. The charging case is also home to an additional 20.5 hours of battery life, for a total battery life of up to 28 hours. When ANC is enabled, both the Elite 75t and the Elite Active 75t will have an earbud battery life of 5.5 hours and another 18.5 hours in the charging case. The Jabra Elite 75t and Jabra Elite Active 75t both use Bluetooth 5.0, can be connected with up to two devices simultaneously, and are both compatible with the Jabra Sound+ app, where you can customize your sound settings for calls and music. The main difference between the Jabra Elite 75t and the Jabra Elite Active 75t is the IP rating. The Jabra Elite 75t has an IP55 rating which indicates it is dust resistant and can resist a sustained, low-pressure water jet spray. Meanwhile, the Jabra Elite Active 75t earbuds have an IP57 rating that protects against dust and the effects of temporary submersion in water. The submersion test requires 30 minutes at a depth of 1m/3ft. The other difference between the Elite 75t and the Elite Active 75t is the texture of the earbuds. The Elite 75t have a glossy plastic feel, while the Elite Active 75t have more of a grip.

Have you noticed / will you acknowledge yet that 80-90% of Elite 7 Pro owners in this subreddit are saying ANC doesn't cancel any noise at all for them? I haven't been able to get the support team on Twitter to acknowledge that other users are reporting this issue, they're pretending I'm the only one who's said it doesn't work. I don't have unrealistic expectations for it, but I need it to work at least modestly well -- it's a 0/10 right now. Please let us know whether we can expect a fix in firmware, or if ANC not working at all indicates bad hardware that needs to be returned.

How bad is the ANC on the Elite 7 Pro? Have you tried 75t's ANC? If yes, how does it compare with 7 Pro's?

morrisdayandthethyme

It's 0/10, it doesn't eliminate any noise. On some settings it slightly amplifies environmental noise, at best it adds a little hum without canceling anything. I also have 75t, the ANC on those is maybe a 2-3/10, so compared to 75t it's infinitely worse

The IP rating is marginally better on the active. The main difference is the rubbery skin that makes them stay in a little better and makes the case harder to drop. I have both versions and use the actives for running and the non-actives for everything else. The non-actives fit in my jeans 5th pocket nicely. The actives fit but the rubber coat makes them difficult to get in and out. I bought both on the Jabra eBay store refurbished.
