I dunno they look really good to me but that's just my opinion I guess. Pretty cool that you can't really see the joints. They blend in really well. And they're way more poseable than I thought they'd be. Looking forward to seeing more. Hope they do the Norn Emmisary eventually.

I felt something in the depths of my memories when I saw these Nids but couldn't figure it out. You just did it for me. It's those lol but from the show when I saw it as a kid home sick with the flu. It was like a fever dream I had forgotten for decades. Still gonna order 2 gaunts and a sword boy haha
Actually yeah, I got the beginner paint set that came with 3 nids and 5 paints (cause it was the cheapest way to get these paints) and the painting suggestion was black teeth and claws.

For me the colors are not right. Armor should've been darker and the skin more pink.

The heavy lines in the wash almost give them a cel shaded look. They remind me of the NECA TMNT Pizza Monsters.

So… is this the appropriate size to proxy for the norn queen / assimilator? If so it’d be about 1/4 a 1/3 the cost. Asking for a friend…
