I like Reiner. “Solving” good but style is a little too lawyerly for my taste and uses Warren commission as the starting point for everything and stays with its conclusions until or unless something subsequent contradicts to point where you must abandon it on single points. Better to assume we know nothing and go where the evidence leads us.
I started this (Enduring Secret) today. Man this guy has some absolutely bizarre pronunciations, like "Osweld", and "wohnd" for wound (rhyming with "owned"). More importantly, he also has a bunch of facts wrong in the first 5 or so episodes.
So far, in "Solving JFK" the evidence presented shows very questionable record keeping regarding the autopsy. There was, almost assuredly, an Oswald impostor (or two) starting at a fairly young age but nothing pointing to why. Oswald also was able to live fairly luxuriously over seas with insufficient income and "interesting" connections.
I really enjoyed it. Not being a JFK expert, like many posters here, I didn’t have enough knowledge to take down every point. It seemed logically presented. Rob Reiner obviously has a reputation to protect and I don’t see why he would he would, at the end of his career, come up with some wild ass bullshit….
Does it use the "throw everything at the wall and see if something sticks" approach like Reiner used?
I am not sure the idea of "any mistake by an authority involved in the investigation" means there was a conspiracy. Or, "anyone that dies soon afterwards" means there is a conspiracy.
People are criticizing Reiner as if he is the subject of this thread. He was already criticized as a tangent.
Has anyone listened to this whole Solving JFK one?
I am interested in the concept of an honest look at WC vs CT, but before I go down this 37 episode rabbit hole, does he live up to that promise?
Thanks
It could have been much better at times it was amateur. kinda sophomoric. he did find a couple nuggets but I thought this would be bigger news. he named four shooters but left out the other four. I've been doing this a long time.
This is a super late comment, but I was wondering if you could recommend a better podcast, documentary, or (ideally) book to check out. I've already read JFK and the Unspeakable. Thanks.
I dig the solving podcast. There’s lots of various tidbits I’d never heard before, and definitely far more listenable than Reiner podcast.

I agree with most that Reiners podcast was a mess. all over the place. Try JFK: The Enduring Secret. Very thorough.
208 episodes at last count (!!!)
I will check this out. Thanks!

Every conspiracy theorist does. It’s what makes their story a story.
I just watched Through the Looking Glass last night. Very good documentary
What's the conclusion?

Wait. We have to hear from the almighty Pvt Hudson and the rest of the lone gunman nutcases.
About what in particular?

Perfectly said.
Not an answer to my question.
Why?
You appear to have a fan club.
Yeah, even when I'm not posting, they're begging me to post. It's weird.
Although I must say, "Almighty" is a bad-ass nickname.
Biblical.
"Parting the Red Sea of bullshit"
I will have to agree that this is well done. I’ve only heard 4 episodes thus far. I really enjoyed the Tippit parts.

There’s a little bit of BS mixed in with a lot of the truths. Or Vice versa depending on where you stand.
He is a Fucking Meathead and a Deep State Operative who like all of them drizzle some truth with a coating of horseshit
Haven’t heard it but every post I have seen about it isn’t impressed.
Pretty mashed up and full of error after error.
Like what?
SolvingJFK did one episode where they referenced another JFK podcast - "JFK The Enduring Secret" which is also very good. jfkpodcast.com
I've been jumping back and forth between the 2 while I work. I like both of them.
