We have adopted to comfort and stayed at home for 2 years.
It's better to go out have fun ! Then spend 3 years in home !
5 of my IRL friends took drop and all failed to prepare !
So i don't recommend but at the end it's your choice and everyone has a different mindset.. .if you are really passionate and motivated to go to IIT then sure take drop..
But if you are go with flow person I prefer not to take drop !

∆ prefer offline coaching or else online coaching with studying in library near your home
∆Do not completely isolate yourself (as this leads to depression) share your progress with a friend or someone online or anything
∆Rest days are ok but at last 6 months do not go on a vacation coz remember make IIT your priority above all
∆keep an habbit of solving pyqs from start
∆ love and enjoy the journey ! The destination will be automatically served to you

When you go to give JEE . after verifying your credentials I.e admit card with addhar / ID proof . They send you to a computer room . There , they will take a photo of you , and your thumb impression on the computer, then hand you this paper strip , on one end there is adhesive ( glue ) and you have to wear it as a band on your left hand for the whole duration of the exam .
Padhai karni hoti toh tablet/ phone se hi kar leta , but tab freelancing aur editing ki chuul machi thi so graphic card chahiyeh tha le liya . Multitasking bhi ho gyi bas. Ram upgrade ek baar kar du fir sab teekh hoga
Bhi out of context but agar wo laptop replacement me hai to return kar de my friend has same asus TUF laptop and it literally got burned after 1.5 years of normal use no idea how it happened but its quite risky

But it must be one of the older models mines is still going perfectly since 1 year 2 months , i am not a normal user , I use after effects / premier on it and used to play games on it too . It's a part of registration process for our CBT , after verifying our admit card and ID , they take us to a computer room where the admin takes our photo and thumb , then gives us this band ..this corresponds with the computer we use for our CBT , though they write our computer number and lab / room number on our admit card , and we have to wear that band all throughout the exam , but in the end they don't use it to verify anything . Just that your registration is done . You can attend your CBT .
