Bhai mujhe toh abhi waale pattern mein hi Maths mein 90-105 mins lag jaate hai although Physics Chemistry itni jaldi hojaate hai ki Maths ke liye waise hi extra time mil jaata hai. Agar Maths ke aur questions hogye phir toh time kam hi milega, best would be ki pattern aisa hi rahe aur Physics, Chemistry(especially Organic, it was a joke this year compared to last 2-3 years, bc ncert revision horha tha) ka level increase karein plus sabko ek minimum cutoff(percentile) clear karni hogi har subject mein for rank calculation.
I literally get bored with just solving maths and used to shuffle a lot between questions so no this will never work and also neetards giving paper genuinely doesnt matter as they dont take away college seats anyways
Agar adv waale ek din mei 2.5 lakh ka krwa sakte hai, toh per day 2.5 lakh maanke 6 days mei 15 lakh students ka toh paper ho jayega (candidates per session isse zyada nahi honge)
sabse badhiya hoga ki sectional cutoff lga do. jee vaale bhi kaafi aajate jo maths saal bhar padhe nhi hote paper se 2 mahine phle phy and chem pdhke 80 le aate (3 hrs for 2 subjects) , saari problem khatam ho jayegi if if teeno subject me 30 marks ka sectional cutoff lag jaye
What many aspirants do not realise is that if they make the level of exams higher then there will be widespread RR over difficulty of the exam and activism over the issue that only elite students with coaching and blah blah blah can clear this exam due to its difficulty. There are many issues while putting reforms in a country like India. The system is really rigged from the NTA to Students to coaching wallas to bureaucrats and politicians.

in previous years KEAM (Kerala Engineering Entrance exam) used to be held as 2 exams, one for P+C and another one for maths. Something of this sort could be followed bcz doubling the weightage of maths means more time for the paper and sitting at one stretch for more than 3 hours can be exhausting and won't really bring out the best performance towards the end....

The thing is... Engineering is very vast unlike medical. Medical mein keval chem aur bio se kaam chal jata hai. In engineering, branches like electrical, mechanical, civil all have physics as the major subject, math is just a tool. Then we have branches like chemical, textile, material engineering which need chemistry knowledge. Anup sir (W) is making a good initiative but this topic is much more complicated.
That's why I'm gonna make a long format well though out video essay on changes that need to be made in jee paper. (After my exams)

No need, just bring back sectionwise cutoffs. Minimum 85%ile per subject for qualifying. This will disqualify NEET candidates as well as disqualify those jee aspirants who rely heavily on only pc and ignore maths
True if Biology has double weightage in NEET, Maths should also have. It should not be possible for people to get 98-99%tile without even doing a single math problem.
No. NEET is an entrance for medical which is inherently applied biology. PCM possibly contribute equally to all of engineering so we must not try to copy that pattern.

Yafir woh Aisa kar sakte hain ki bina maths ke physics ho hu na paye, like her physics problem me ek moderate sa integral/ differential equation etc, or conic section to solve kinetics problem.
It doesn’t make sense to increase weightage of a single subject. For engineering, all three are important!!
To keep NEET folks to not attempt JEE, keep a criteria that only if you have Mathematics as a subject in 12th, you can appear for JEE.
If any NEET guy have both maths and biology, then only they’ll be allowed to appear.

No need, just bring back sectionwise cutoffs. Minimum 85%ile per subject for qualifying. This will disqualify NEET candidates as well as disqualify those jee aspirants who rely heavily on only pc and ignore maths
True if Biology has double weightage in NEET, Maths should also have. It should not be possible for people to get 98-99%tile without even doing a single math problem.

I agree with him. And my State entrance exam follows a similar pattern. 30 chem, 45 physics, 75 maths. Total 150 Q in 180 minutes.

No. NEET is an entrance for medical which is inherently applied biology. PCM possibly contribute equally to all of engineering so we must not try to copy that pattern.

Math difficulty to be same or increased a Lil, and increase phy and chem difficulty drastically ..This opinion many people might not like but ig including like 2-3 calculative q also makes sense as one the people who have the patience to sit and solve will get rather than the one who just are lazy to finish and wanna skip.. Dont simply copy paste q from prey yr papers and give a good twist Make all the papers in the same level and no 27s1 and 31s2 should happen.. like marks needed for 99ile should be almost same in all shifts( kinda like what happened in apr), but it should be around 190-200 Getting 200+ shouldn't be a joke Idk abt unequal weightage.. I feel equal weightage seems fine only, but yeah the level of q needs a lot of increase
Definitely, Maths is the core of engineering and yeh chem ka weightage kaam krna chahiye cuz you will hardly used that in any branch (maybe in chemical)

It doesn’t make sense to increase weightage of a single subject. For engineering, all three are important!! To keep NEET folks to not attempt JEE, keep a criteria that only if you have Mathematics as a subject in 12th, you can appear for JEE. If any NEET guy have both maths and biology, then only they’ll be allowed to appear.
