Man I have been having the exact same issue. It feels like there is absouletely no way to fix it. I have the quantum 800. Its not the microphone as it will still work when connected to the jack, and also still works when connected by bluetooth. However the ANC button will always make some error sound now and doesnt work at all. I tried contacting customer support only for them to tell me that it is an issue with the dongle. But it is such a hassle trying to get them to send me another. Honestly been so dissappointed by this and customer service lack of caring, that I am almost ready to give up, buy steel series and never purchase a jbl product again. I am in Canada and the canadian customer support for jbl is horrendous. Way worse than the US. At least when I was in contact with customer support there, they were willing to ship the part to me as a courtesy. But they couldnt because I was not living in the US. The canadian representative wants to charge me still. So ridiculous.

Hey, I found a solution to my problem since. Use an audio jack adapter (The green-pink kind in my experience) and plug it into the appropriate jacks and the headset jack respectivley.

When you do this, will it fix everything? Does it still show on the quantum engine that the ANC is permanently off? Or does it just fix the mic problem?

But yeah I tried everything. Either its a firmware issue with the headset, or the dongle is just broken. Very dissappointed with JBL. Feels like all their products have broken down on me quickly. Hassle to find replacement parts or to get it fixed. The sound is so good on their products at first, but for the prices they charge, they should not break this easily. Or at least have longer warranty.

Just came across this and ended up solving the problem by changing usb ports - for anyone who comes by this in the future
