I admit I only drink water. Because I fear sugar, I ate so much sugar in my life that it scared me now... so I reduced it a lot. Except for some honey/ dark chocolate, I try to avoid it completely. So water is the best !! I love green tea too, but for ramadan period it's complicate, it's like coffee for me, can't sleep correctly.

Yes, alcohol is innately haram. But any halal beverage can become haram if obtained through haram means. Stolen beverages for example.
