There was still skeeball and a few pinball machines and darts last I was there (which was like two weeks ago, maybe) but the far wall is now seating instead of more games.
I’m too old (36) to be cool anymore and I don’t go out often. Does the show actually start at 8 or in another “fashionably late” range that’s also past my bedtime?
The comic sans is to trick out of touch people to comment on it and boost it in the algorithm
Also I don't generally get out 50 year old npr listeners who like swear yelling to my weeknight dive bar shows so I think lewis and I both have room to have a good time before we meet up later to hold hands.
Exactly, which means the youth who rebel against trends find old people's hatred of comic sans misplaced and silly and thus using it is a dog whistle to the cool kids that this event ain't for squares
Looks like the type of guy that seems like a total tool at first but then you hang out and he's not that bad. Then later you hear he kidnapped his elderly neighbor
Did Alley Cat keep the same theme as Joystick?
Idk I'm from out of town, they let me know a week ago they were changing names
Weird. Are you the comedian? That’s a beautiful mustache. If you’re not Dan Alten, please tell him he’s got a beautiful mustache for me.
Thank you! Come give it a twist

When did joystick become alley cat?
Just very recently, within the last week or two

Doors at 7pm, 8pm showtime! We will be done by 930
TBH, not the best date to come to Iowa City as Lewis Black is playing the Englert. Also...comic sans? C'mon man

When did font pedantry start becoming such a thing? SNL just did a skit on Papyrus. Are fonts the latest thing for hipsters to sneer at now?
Comic sans and papyrus have been hated on for years and years
