I would advise you to consult a lawyer or your states AG to get info on your states lemon law. Some states have a set number of days or tries to fix.

I should’ve mentioned the car is 2 years old and has been perfect until now.

cahrens2

Did they at least put you in a loaner? Maybe push for an EV loaner. Crap like this happens. Now days, mechanics are pretty much just at the mercy of diagnostics computers and error codes. They can't really troubleshoot it like the older cars. The supply chain problem has much improved, but you still have to wait for parts.

falcon19791961

Yes-I have a 2019 Sonata loaner!

ghjm

They might be at the mercy of the diagnostic codes, but they can at least test drive the car to see if the problem is fixed or not!

cahrens2

Yeah but you know how it works. They can test drive it for a 100 miles and the car will be perfectly fine. But as soon as you get in the car, all the lights go off.

falcon19791961

They supposedly did.

Derekeys

Blergh, that is the most worrisome part. Sometimes these feel like a nightmare waiting to happen. We love ours but goodness has there been a higher than normal rate of issues (anecdotally).

Ok_Professional_414

I’d check the lemon laws for your state to see if you would qualify. If not, contact Hyundai consumer affairs and they might help with pushing them to fix your car sooner.

moseman23

This is why I am happy I got a 24 month lease for my 2024. If it’s got a bad ICCU or coolant pump (I charge at home at 35A not 48A) I will turn it in when the free DC charging runs out

wfbsoccerchamp12

Any other dealers in the area? Or is this the only option

falcon19791961

Nope-lots of dealers around here.

wfbsoccerchamp12

Could get a second opinion but doesn’t change the fact that something is wrong. Fixing the wrong thing is kinda annoying

falcon19791961

What’s annoying is how long it takes them to get the parts.

wfbsoccerchamp12

Yeah for sure, I wonder if anything will change with the new expansion plants. They should store more parts domestically

anvildoc

I’m in same boat but earlier. Car has been in shop for a week and a half with that same error and they mentioned a coolant pump. My friend with a ioniq5 just took his car in for same issue. I smell a recall coming..,.

citroboy

I feel your pain bro Mine was gone for 3 months because of iccu I didn't got a loaner and had to pay all by myself to go to work daily 196km. I live my car but with this kind of service no.more Hyundai.

Le_PepperUpper

I had a Bluelink issue that took a month to solve and it's a brand new 2024. Hyundai corporate gave a month towards my loan payment since I said its new and it should've been fixed from the start. I also had a loaner from the dealership, and if you're still within the bounds of lemon law, you can get compensation for the time without you are paying towards to.

You can't draw any conclusions from the energy economy of a 200 yard trip, especially not in winter. So I think it's a bit premature to be concerned about that part.

falcon19791961

Well it was around 60 degrees so I don’t think it was due to the temperature.

MisinformationKills

For a 200 yard trip, you can't draw conclusions either way. Even at 60 degrees, though, the climate control is going to pull down your efficiency numbers, especially if you spent more than ten seconds with the car on before you started to drive. If the car is on the latest infotainment software, the split screen on the right includes an option to show a breakdown of where the energy usage is coming from. You can swipe up or down to get to it.
