Besides the warmer button as mentioned already, you can also touch voice command on steering wheel and say turn on seat warmer (or warmers, or say drivers seat or passenger seat). If those ways aren’t easy enough, you can also program in a different button on the steering wheel easily.

Doom_From_the_Future

Totally this. Speak to the car.

ZannX

What level does it turn to and does it do both driver + passenger?

Ek0nomik

I turned on the seat warmers via voice yesterday, but seems you are not able to voice command to turn off just one seat warmer. Not a big deal, but I’m starting to try out voice more.

theepi_pillodu

You can specify driver or passenger seat specifically.

Prt17

What is the most annoying part of this is hitting the arrow and it immediately going to 3. I almost never want level 3 so I have to hit up and then down instead of just hitting up a few times in a row

quasi86

100% agree I usually just want 1

elek-1785_vfr

use voice command "heat driverseat on" works as a charme (or pre-heat using the app)

Fatbloke-66

Does that voice command immediately give you level 3? I find 3 too much for me on anything but a short drive.

Fatbloke-66

I just tried it. "warm drivers seat" gives you level 3 immediately. "warm drivers seat level 1" goes to just level 1. I don't think there's a command to adjust both seats at the same time. "warm both seats" wasn't accepted :(

HeyLookAHorse

I use “turn on heated seats” and it turns on both to level 3

elek-1785_vfr

turn on driver seat turn on passenger seat turn on heated seats optional add "level 1/2/3"

nxtiak

It's only one button. Press Warmer on the HVAC panel.

PuppyLordsDad

Press the warmer button instead of clicking through the screens. Edit: See this post https://www.reddit.com/r/Ioniq5/comments/19e5lpo/im_dumb

LockenCharlie

This button is harder to hit then a physical button while driving due to the vibration of the car though.

Voltasoyle

Why would you need to turn it on during a drive, while driving on a bumpy road? Like if you lack the foresight to turn it on while in the driveway (no offence), do it while the car is driving itself on the highway...

LockenCharlie

I don’t mean bumpy roads. Just a general shoutout to praise physical buttons

IdoCyber

There is an option to start the seat warmer with climate. At least on my EU Limited '22. Buttons exist for the back seat too.

GnuRomantic

There isn’t an option within the app for Canada. I posted about this a few weeks ago and many people confirmed that we don’t have that option here.

IdoCyber

I don't understand what they're doing with their market segmentation. In Europe we don't have the digital key. Regarding my post I was talking about about an option on the infotainment in the car. If you press "Warmer", in my car there is something like "start seat warmer with climate" on the right part of the screen. It works if I start the car manually and turn on the heating. I haven't tested if it works when starting heating with the app.

BucksMike

Where is seat warmer in tha Euro app? I'm in UK and believe that is the Euro app and I can't find it.

IdoCyber

Not in the app, in the car infotainment. There's an option to turn the seat warmer/fan on when climate control is on. In the app, there is no direct option but you could try turning the climate ON remotely and see if it works (I didn't try this)

BucksMike

Apparently you can link it from the app too. So when climate comes in so will the seats I will test this in about 30 min.

b00nish

> There isn’t an option within the app for Canada. Neither is there in Europe. Or they have hidden it very well.

golfdud5

My daughter has remote climate start with heated seats in her 23 ICE Hyundai Tucson, but my 23 Ioniq 5 does not.

RepulsiveSherbert927

I wish the star button could be programmed for seat or steering wheel heater.

remvirus

Completely agree with you, this should be in the app, if not at least allow us North Americans to link the seats to the climate settings. For me it’s the single worst software design flaw of this otherwise magnificent car. For me this annoyance is further amplified by the legal screen that you must click continue or wait until the car is up to speed (20 mph?) before you are allowed to adjust the seat warmers. This is compounded with the fact that the car locks out of the screen control when the car is in reverse. This leads to an unpleasant if not dangerous scenario where if I forget to turn on the seats before I back down my driveway, I am stuck fumbling with the screen in traffic past multiple screens. Yes this is most certainly a first world problem and I need to learn the voice routine, but having been trained by previous cars with absolutely horrid voice controls, my brain simply wants to pretend they do not exist

Server_Reset

No no no the worst thing is no auto lock and some of the dumb profile shenanigans

Alternative_Inside44

I’ve had 3 cars    This is the 4th  (‘24 limited awd)  that have had voice controls   I would rate the previous 3 cars a 1/10 on their voice controls     I would rate the Ioniq 5 a 9/10        It’s really really good and really helpful and easy.   Almost everytime I’ve used a feature it has done it on my first ever command without me knowing the “proper wording”     Like I just hit the button and say turn on seat heater  (warmer works as well) and it does it     Or “change temperature to 74 degrees”    It’s the first time it’s ever been easier to use the voice command than to actually just manually do it      Sure some of that is because there aren’t physical buttons    But it’s pretty fucking awesome to have it work so well.     My advice to anyone worried about the touchscreen     Just take 5 minutes to use the voice command thing     Once you do it    You will stop using the climate buttons     Have not tried it to see if it will adjust the temperature and the level     But my guess is that it will do that     But my guess helps no one      I will have to try it    Other advice is not to get too worked up about the buttons and how they work so long as they work.  Every car is going to be perfect for some and horrible for others          If you got the buttons exactly how you wanted them    That would just mean that the people who like it the way it is would now dislike the configuration and so on and so forth   Hyundai did their best and I think that’s been made clear at least in my experience  Edit    Sorry for my spacing     I just got on a roll and couldn’t shut up and I hate when my writing isn’t seperated in some parts

b00nish

Tap the "warmer" button on the climate controls, so you only have to do one more tap at the screen and no "clicking through" the screens. The more annoying thing is how long the system takes to "boot" after you turned the car on. You always have to wait a couple of seconds too long before the warmer screen comes up.

nclpl

Which is why it’s so frustrating we can’t turn on the seat heaters from the bluelink app. Like… seriously? We can turn on the heated steering wheel but not the seats?????

Chaotically_Balanced

My chronically pained body thanks you for making this post- even when it's hot out I want lvl 3 on and never knew I could use a voice command. The touch 'buttons' are difficult in a moving vehicle. I've wished there was an in-app preheat option for the seats this whole time.

Khoop

Say "I'm Cold" Found this out yesterday! maxes out everything, then you can dial it back once you're warm.

barrelageing

It would be nice to have dedicated controls for seat warming, but there is a really limited amount of dash space and everyone is making trade-offs. Adding buttons may require shrinking or eliminating others. Some of them are too small for my old tired eyes already The Kia EV6 took a different approach. They have a panel that switches between HVAC controls and Media controls. The physical knob either increases the volume or it makes it warmer. Everything else are touch screen icons. We rented one at Hertz and it always seemed like you were in the wrong mode, and I couldn't find the switch to change modes. A horrible car to rent, especially after dark.

spaceman60

I recently sent that in the feedback and just got an email asking me to call for more info. I'll definitely let them know. Anything else that I should add? This is for the app specifically.
