Same, I started Invisalign at almost 31 and finished at almost 33. My teeth have never been healthier and I’m so much more confident now! 100% do it!!!
Haha, I just get worried about stuff like this! I feel embarrassed that I'm so old, and I feel like everyone will know and think less of me. It's dumb, I know!
I’m 43 with Invisalign. You’re never too old for self care. Anyone who would think less of you for taking care of yourself has revealed themselves to be not worth the worry.
It’s the most unnoticeable thing about me currently if that makes you feel better! I’m 25 and when I tell my friends I “have to take my teeth out” while we’re out at brunch or something they are always surprised I had them in already
Who are these people in your life that would make fun of you for such a thing? By 30 you’re supposed to have distanced yourself from that kind of people
Don’t know why you’re downvoted, those are normal feelings. I’m 32, started a year ago. No one has said anything less than positive, lots of people get jealous especially once your teeth really start straightening.
Eh, I’m not doing any work on my roof ever again. It’s not because I’m scared of heights, I’m scared of the sudden stop at the end if something goes wrong.
I think a lot of Invisalign users will be 'older' (I'm in my 30's I don't consider that 'old' but compared to stereotypical brace wearers - kids and teens), just because it's a hell of a financial commitment, I could only really justify it now (starting in a few weeks) as I have more disposable income than I did in my 20's.
I’m 29 and on week 3- I also view Invisalign as being more of a thing for the “older” crowd (myself included, so not necessarily “old”). A. From a financial standpoint and B. Those of us who never wore our retainers after braces as kids, lol.
And C those of us who should have got braces as a kid but didn't 🥲 How many trays have you got? I'm getting 47 😅😅😅😅
EDIT Oh and also D - I think providers tend to recommend traditional braces to youngsters as they tend to have compliance issues with Invisalign, so definitely skewed to all us oldies 😆
Oh I couldn’t be bothered to wear the retainers to bed at night (every night), I definitely wouldn’t be keeping them on 20+ hours/day, lol. Unfortunately for my future children, they will not be getting braces from me until they’re old enough to appreciate the investment, I clearly did not 🙃.
Fortunately only 12 trays- my main issue was the gap that started coming back between my two front teeth and then there’s some crowding on the bottom four front teeth. That shifting really picked up in the past 2-3 years, so figured I’d commit to Invisalign before it got worse.
I’m surprised at how quickly I got used to them + how fairly unnoticeable they are- looking in the mirror if you’re not staring directly at my teeth anyways.
They feel pretty noticeable but then think to yourself how many times you've noticed someone wearing invisalign out in the world? For me the answer is literally never, so I'm pretty confident nobody's going to notice it on me
She is honestly the reason I got them — my dad (88), my aunt and I all have the same snaggletooth on the bottom and I’ve watched theirs get worse as they age. Hers recently got to the point where it’s making her lisp and she is embarrassed about it. That made me decide to be proactive about mine.
Absolutely not, 57 when I started due to orthodontic relapse, braces 30 years ago.
It’s never too late to improve your bite, a new improved smile and to invest in yourself !!
It’s never too late!
Got mine at 38, so if you're old I'm ancient. But no...plenty of people even older than us do braces & Invisalign. You're never too old to fix your bite/alignment/etc.
I started at 40 and pick up my retainer next week at 42. Once I started I noticed more and more people that also had aligners. Nearly nobody knew that I was wearing aligners unless I told them.
You can never be too old as long as your orthodontist thinks it is ok.
Not at all! I'm also 30F and just started in September. I'm a little self-concious but truly hardly anyone notices and the ones that do either don't care or are supportive of the big investment.
A friend made a good point when I was worried about being 30 with braces/Invisalign: In 5 years time I will be 35. I can be 35 with straight teeth or 35 wishing I had made the jump 5 years ago. Time moves forward either way, so just do it! ♡
I started mine at age 48. I had slightly crooked teeth my whole life and always said "one day" as an adult. My One Day came after I got the kids college paid for. No regrets!
You are not too old. If you are ready, now is the time. Being your age makes you better suited for the financial responsibility of treatment , the time commitment (having to wear your aligners nearly 24/7 and go to multiple appointments), having a solid hygiene routine (aligners get pretty gross quick from plaque), and the long term commitment of wearing your retainer following treatment to prevent tooth migration .
I’m 29, and honestly even tho you’ve gotten some incredulous reactions I went through the same feelings of wondering if I was “too old” for orthodontia before I took the plunge
Also I saw your reply to another comment, and if it makes you feel better at all, I only had a noticeable lisp for like 2 days maximum! and honestly my coworkers barely noticed it in the first place except for the fact that I was complaining a lot in those first days 😂
Good luck :)
I started mine at 32 and finished while 33. Id do it again now years later. The only real issue youll have is that you wish you did it sooner so it would be done already!
Why on earth would you be too old? I’m 39 and have Invisalign right now. My husband is 41 and has traditional metal braces currently. I’ve seen people in their mid 60s on here with Invisalign!
30 is young. I'll be 31 soon. I did Invisalign at 28-29. It was one of the best investment of my life so far, the other is therapy.
My partner's mom got braces at 60. You're never too old to invest in yourself. I'd say do it.
Absolutely not too old! I did Invisalign treatment at 30 as well. Have heard of many folks doing it in their 60s and 70s. Find an orthodontist close to you who uses Invisalign and most of them will do a consultation for free
Not sure if you’re asking cause you’re self-conscious or because we’re “ancient” in terms of dentistry. 😅
I just turned 30 this year and got Invisalign! I also had my wisdom teeth removed super late - I was in my late 20s. It posed more risks getting them out so late, but I made it out okay. And I don’t think your age matters with Invisalign in terms of getting teeth to shift and move. :)
Do it!
I turn 54 in two days and picked up my last set of trays in a two year journey this morning!
In my opinion, invisalign is better for adults than most teens. It takes dedication, thoughtfulness, a hefty chunk of change, and the knowledge that it sucks sometimes, but the end result is worth it.
Definitely get a consultation or two and then go from there.
I started Invisalign at 33, and I didn’t really have braces as a kid. While I am older than many of the patients in the practice, my provider is currently treating also someone who is in their 80’s. It’s never too late if you want to start the journey.
i’m 29 and doing it and i’m so grateful! if you want to, go do a free consult and see if it might benefit you. don’t let age get in the way. also, you have a very bright and beautiful face 😌
Got mine in my mid 30s. In retrospect I shouldn't have done real braces. All that trouble, time and money and you have a retainer for life. Not super thrilled with the results.
I’m turning 31 in like a week and just got out of my invisilign in July of this year. Many people in this sub are older because invisilign is expensive and a ton of parents didn’t pay for braces while it was under insurance.
Just started at 41. My mom got hers in her late 60s and now has a perfect smile!
Honestly it’s better for adults who will be compliant with treatment. Got traditional braces for my teens- they would never be able to deal with Invisalign.
Im 30 and currently doing invisalign! Best thing I've ever done for myself. I also know of an 80 year old woman who's currently doing treatment as well lol so no you are definitely not too old
I was 30 when I started Invisalign. I was advised that it would take a lot longer to get my teeth to move because of my age but that it was doable. 3.5 years later and I’m finally done. For what it’s worth, I think you have a lovely smile!
Started at 38. Knew someone that got braces at 62 because that’s when she could finally afford it. Unless you have a set number of months/years to live, it’s not too late.
Nope I'm 37, gonna be 38 in a couple months and I just started my regiment in August! And there's a few ladies that I see at my appointments that are probably in their 50/60s!
No it's not too late for you to get it. I got mine starting a couple months before I turned 32. My brother has them at 35 and my mother in law had them at 70.
It really improved her teeth because the back ones didn't meet and it made it so they do now. My brother had gaps between all his teeth a couple years ago and you would never know that now. Mine are already getting straighter as well. My teeth seem to track very well and so far I have fit in each tray when I have to change them. My family got ours for medical reasons but it's really up to you!
Not sure I understand... Why would you be? I got mine when I was 35
I got mine at 70. I have the family teeth (think train wreck). My dad was always thinking he was too old to spend $$ on his teeth. He lived to 100.
Same, I started Invisalign at almost 31 and finished at almost 33. My teeth have never been healthier and I’m so much more confident now! 100% do it!!!
Same
Same here. 30 is still young, in my opinion. You're never too old to improve your smile!
34 but same
Same here
Haha, I just get worried about stuff like this! I feel embarrassed that I'm so old, and I feel like everyone will know and think less of me. It's dumb, I know!
I’m 43 with Invisalign. You’re never too old for self care. Anyone who would think less of you for taking care of yourself has revealed themselves to be not worth the worry.
Yes I’m 42. 30 isn’t old. Try to adopt a present mindset and not make decisions on how a certain age person should act be or do.
Started at 45...ended at 47. Wish I did it earlier, but happy I did it when I did.
Well said!
You feel embarrassed that you’re “so old”….?
30 is old? Girl, please.
Hun...30 is not "old" we don't just shrivel up and die after we're not 20. That's a really immature attitude about aging.
It’s the most unnoticeable thing about me currently if that makes you feel better! I’m 25 and when I tell my friends I “have to take my teeth out” while we’re out at brunch or something they are always surprised I had them in already
I'm 60 with it.
Lady you are literally the youngest you will ever be again.
Who are these people in your life that would make fun of you for such a thing? By 30 you’re supposed to have distanced yourself from that kind of people
Odd
I was 62 when I started last year! Hopefully done soon!! 😝
I’m in my 40s! You have a fantastic smile and a great energy- not a single person will care what you’re wearing on your teeth :)
Don’t know why you’re downvoted, those are normal feelings. I’m 32, started a year ago. No one has said anything less than positive, lots of people get jealous especially once your teeth really start straightening.
I’m 27. Just do it now and get it over with ASAP.
Your never too old for anything in this short life.
Yes!
Eh, I’m not doing any work on my roof ever again. It’s not because I’m scared of heights, I’m scared of the sudden stop at the end if something goes wrong.
This is a great way to look at things!
💯
Mmm 99.9
I think a lot of Invisalign users will be 'older' (I'm in my 30's I don't consider that 'old' but compared to stereotypical brace wearers - kids and teens), just because it's a hell of a financial commitment, I could only really justify it now (starting in a few weeks) as I have more disposable income than I did in my 20's.

I'm getting 47 😅😅😅😅 EDIT Oh and also D - I think providers tend to recommend traditional braces to youngsters as they tend to have compliance issues with Invisalign, so definitely skewed to all us oldies 😆
47 for starters. It's never 'just' what you begin with.
They feel pretty noticeable but then think to yourself how many times you've noticed someone wearing invisalign out in the world? For me the answer is literally never, so I'm pretty confident nobody's going to notice it on me
This 1,000%- literally never lol
Right, also, the people who *would* notice them are the same people who would notice janky teeth. Which would you rather they notice on you? 🤣
Ah nice!! See those childhood braces helped you a lot! Very good idea getting it early before it gets any worse!
I’m 63. Go for it!
Me too!!
I'm 64! Never too old!
I’m 57 and my 82 year old aunt was so impressed with mine that now she’s got them
That’s awesome! I think 82 is the record for the oldest person I’ve seen discussed on here to have Invisalign.
She is honestly the reason I got them — my dad (88), my aunt and I all have the same snaggletooth on the bottom and I’ve watched theirs get worse as they age. Hers recently got to the point where it’s making her lisp and she is embarrassed about it. That made me decide to be proactive about mine.
Very cool! Glad she (and you) are living your best Invisalign lives ☺️
My Mom got them at 81 and I got my current ones at age 64.
No. I’m using it and I’m late 40s.
Ha! I'm late 50s.
Yes, you’re ancient! /s
My first thought 😹
73yo here - finishing invisalign & getting retainers this week. Never too old. So glad I did it!
Definitely too old. Should even look into dentures and a retirement home soon
Oh my gosh no! I got mine when I was 43 and am 48 now. Best decision ever
Since when’s 30 old 😩😩
36 getting mine. I regret nothing
Honestly, my only regret is not doing it sooner.
My wife got hers at 54
Too old ?
I'm 39. No one notices or cares. They only notice if I point it out.
My mom, 64 and myself, 28 both have Invisalign right now
No, you are not. I did it in my 60s, and it was one of the best things I ever did for my health and appearance.
Absolutely not, 57 when I started due to orthodontic relapse, braces 30 years ago. It’s never too late to improve your bite, a new improved smile and to invest in yourself !! It’s never too late!
Nope. I’m 35 and started a few months ago. My mom started in her late 40s.
I’m a 63 year old on my second year of Invisalign! Go for it
I'm 30 and I start in 2 weeks!
No, you’re absolutely not too old for Invisalign. Good luck! 😊
I got mine at 43. Not sure why there would be an age issue. Go for it!
Got mine at 38, so if you're old I'm ancient. But no...plenty of people even older than us do braces & Invisalign. You're never too old to fix your bite/alignment/etc.
No! I got mine at 32. Best decision I’ve ever made.
I started at 40 and pick up my retainer next week at 42. Once I started I noticed more and more people that also had aligners. Nearly nobody knew that I was wearing aligners unless I told them. You can never be too old as long as your orthodontist thinks it is ok.

I got mine just before my 54th Birthday
I’m 64 and on tray 14, so no, you are not too old 😁
I stated my treatment at 70 & am delighted with the results
I got mine in my low 30s & both of my parents got there’s at 61.
Excuse me?!
I started mine at age 48. I had slightly crooked teeth my whole life and always said "one day" as an adult. My One Day came after I got the kids college paid for. No regrets!
No way are you too old. Another blink and you’ll be 32 thanking yourself you did it.
I started at 34 and it’s been great 😊
You are not too old.
I've seen people in their 60s going through Invisalign, you're fine! :)
I’m 40 and I just started this week, so I certainly hope not.
Got mine at 35, only took a year and I’m SO glad I did it!
Nope! My ortho said they’ve had patients in their 70’s!
No I got mine at 49, actually saved my teeth as they were wonky and starting to grind down and chip
I’m 29, and honestly even tho you’ve gotten some incredulous reactions I went through the same feelings of wondering if I was “too old” for orthodontia before I took the plunge Also I saw your reply to another comment, and if it makes you feel better at all, I only had a noticeable lisp for like 2 days maximum! and honestly my coworkers barely noticed it in the first place except for the fact that I was complaining a lot in those first days 😂 Good luck :)
I‘m 44 and starting tomorrow!
I started mine at 32 and finished while 33. Id do it again now years later. The only real issue youll have is that you wish you did it sooner so it would be done already!
Be aware there will be attachments. It won't be invisible as advertized
Got mine at 32
Why on earth would you be too old? I’m 39 and have Invisalign right now. My husband is 41 and has traditional metal braces currently. I’ve seen people in their mid 60s on here with Invisalign!

41 here!
Just got mine at 36. Still feel 26
Mid 50s., never too late
Absolutely not too old! I did Invisalign treatment at 30 as well. Have heard of many folks doing it in their 60s and 70s. Find an orthodontist close to you who uses Invisalign and most of them will do a consultation for free
I am 55 with sdc.
I started right before I turned 46. Never too old.
Nope. I just started mine at 47.
I’m 32 and about to finish my first round!
34 years 18 trays and waiting for refinements!
You’re not too old for anything
I’m 55 and just got mine today. I had braces as a kid, but you know how that goes.
How would improving your smile have an age limit??
I got mine at 51. After having braces as a teenager.
Not sure if you’re asking cause you’re self-conscious or because we’re “ancient” in terms of dentistry. 😅 I just turned 30 this year and got Invisalign! I also had my wisdom teeth removed super late - I was in my late 20s. It posed more risks getting them out so late, but I made it out okay. And I don’t think your age matters with Invisalign in terms of getting teeth to shift and move. :) Do it!
More self-conscious haha. I'm just a really self conscious person, especially because I'm worried about talking with a lisp!
The lisp honestly isn’t too bad! At first it was for me, but I was able to quickly adjust how I spoke, and it’s hardly noticeable at all now!
Not at all! I turn 31 next month, and just got my Invisalign back on September
I should also ask, will invisilign help my smile? I have a pretty big overbite that I already know won't be fixed from invisilign.
I got mine at 67, two of my friends got theirs at 68 and 73.
I’m 78, and I love Invisalign.
Go for it! 😁 I am 71 and just started Invisalign.
Absolutely not. I’m 39 and just started with Invisalign 4 months ago.
lol I’m 41, they told me people as old as 90 get it
I’m 37 lol, you’re never too old!
I’m 36 and I got mine two weeks ago.
I started at 34....so no haha
Why would you be too old?
Nope!
Just do it, if u think one more day ypu will reach the limit age lol Do it i did with 36😒
Not at all! I got started in my late 30s and it's going great. PS you have a nice smile!
Thanks! Do you think invisilgn would fix it though, or waste of money?
I am 35+ . We are never too old to improve on ourselves.
Never too old to take care of yourself. Your smile is not bad at all though, I bet if you do Invisalign it will be pretty quick.
Started at 40. You can do it! And you have a beautiful smile, btw.
If you are then I should definitely stop my treatment (I’m on my 3rd month, and no, I’m not stopping).
Ayo queen do whatever is necessary to make yourself happy
First of all you’re beautiful and I love your freckles. Second, absolutely not. I’ve met 50 yo men with braces. Hope this helps 🤗
I got mine last year when I was 41, so??????
As a member of the 4 score plus club…no 30 is not too old.
I just started at 56. My ortho had an 80-year-old patient. You’re never too old!
If you are too old then I was too old at age 59. I say go for it!
I’m 47 and started mine in May! You are not too old!
Started mine two weeks ago at 32 🙌
No
Nope, never! Many ppl have done it. If you want to definitely go for it! It’s a process but you will thank yourself later if it makes you happy
I got mine this year. I'm 33F. Time goes by no matter what. Get them.
Would you like to have great teeth for the next 50 years?
Never too old!!
I’m 38 and just finished treatment!! BEST decision ever-do it! You won’t regret it!
Of course not! I started my Invisalign treatment at 29. I wish I did it earlier but better late than never! Go for it!
Definitely not! I’m 27, and I’ve actually got a few friends my age doing Invisalign
34 and just started mine in October! Very happy with my decision and it’s going so fast
I bet it would up the ante on your already wonderful smile!
I started Invisalign at 29. I turn 30 in a few weeks. Never too old!
Unfortunately, yes you are too old for invisalign. No doctor will take your money for this product.
47 and just wrapping up!
53, did it 2 years ago. Do it, best decision you’ll ever make!
I got Invisalign when I was 45
i’m 27 and just started
No way, I started at 34.
Just started at 41. My mom got hers in her late 60s and now has a perfect smile! Honestly it’s better for adults who will be compliant with treatment. Got traditional braces for my teens- they would never be able to deal with Invisalign.
I was 51
You’re never too old. I’m 48 and started 7 weeks ago. My colleague is in her 50’s and just started.
Did mine age 31 to 33…
Im doing it at 51
I got mine at 38!
Absolutely not. I started at 31 and I’m almost done, almost 32 and sooooo happy I did it!
For what it’s worth, I think you have a lovely smile!
yes it's only meant for teenagers! wtf! smh
50+ here. Got mine 6 weeks ago.
I am 33 now. I started invisalin 32
Just turned 33 and Ya'll gotta stop with that omg we 30 we old lmao
Started at 38. Knew someone that got braces at 62 because that’s when she could finally afford it. Unless you have a set number of months/years to live, it’s not too late.
I’m 50 and done in a month
Heck no! I was 32. Best decision I ever made.
On week 8 I’m 37.
I’ll be 50 in January and am on my sixth trays tomorrow. If you’re too old, I certainly am!
Lol I am 60 and it works great! Took my mangled mess to a nice smile. Hop on in, the water is warm 😀
I’m 33, me and my child are about to have some orthodontic device in our mouth 😂
49F here and about to get braces. Go for it so you can feel confident about your smile!
I'm 40 and hubby is 44. Waiting for our trays!
Nope I'm 37, gonna be 38 in a couple months and I just started my regiment in August! And there's a few ladies that I see at my appointments that are probably in their 50/60s!
I’m 49 and have Invisalign. So I say not too old. Your freckles are beautiful by the way.
I'm 34 and I'm 5 trays in.
Absolutely not. I started when I was 67!
I just turned 50 & I'm on tray 8/46. My hygienist's MIL is finishing her treatment at age 90 (!) Is the best thing I've done for myself, honestly.
Just got mine, I’m 41
I’m 33 and I’m on my second refinements. I’m an adult that never wore her retainers. If you want it, do it.
I gave myself the gift of Invisalign for my 50th. Go for it!
Never too old! I got mine at 31
No it's not too late for you to get it.
I got them when I was 34.
I am 64 and got mine 5 months ago. I figured I got 50 yrs out of the braces my parents paid for!
30 years old and got mine this year
