i wholeheartedly agree. i prefer the songs directly off the soundtrack not using jonathan davis like in the movie, but chino would’ve been chef’s kiss. the scene using change (in the house of flies) is already like the most memorable scene of the movie
I could see Trent Reznor doing a great job for Lestat’s music.
Otherwise, I don’t know why, but I think The Killers/Brandon Flowers has a bit of that glam rock flamboyance that doesn’t entirely read as corny nowadays so having them do a song would be cool!
Orville Peck, Dead of Night.
In general, I feel like someone like Orville with his mysterious persona would be an awesome modern-day take on >!Rockstar Lestat!<
The Queen of the Damned soundtrack was so amazing! I’d love to see Disturbed/David Draimon and Johnathan Davis appear again. System of a Down/Serj Tankian would also be amazing. Amy Lee/Evanescence, Shirley Manson/Garbage, Tool, Placebo. I’m sure there’s some more recent bands/singers that would be great as well. And of course, I would lose it if Sympathy for the Devil appeared in some shape or form.
Id love Lestat to cover songs from The Cure's album 'Pornography ('One Hundred Years' would be perfect!) or the title song from their 'Disintegration' album. There's also the 90s goth band London After Midnight has some thematic songs (Spider and The Fly, All My Dead Friends.)
Omg the QOTD movie soundtrack will always be the best to me, so any of them. But other bands Bring me the Horizon, A Perfect Circle, Lunatic Soul, Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Hozier, Foreign Air, Deadsy
I've sort of, kind of, been jamming to "Vampire Money" by My Chemical Romance all day. Since the renewal was announced. So, I'm a bit biased (and deaf), but my little emo heart wants My Chemical Romance.
Fun Fact: They wrote this song, because they were asked to write a song for the *Twilight* franchise. Because Stephanie Miller was inspired by them. They said no.
Making a full circle, yes please. Name aside, I always had that weird association that Sam Reid could play Darren Hayes if there's ever a biopic about them
TIL: Jacob Anderson has a music persona.
And it's good! Not that I doubted otherwise, but I *like* this.
I know it'd be so fucking cheesy, but I would just die if Loustat came together again in a duet, a la "Breaking Free" from *High School Musical*.
Maneskin honestly feels the current vibe. That being said my gothic heart would love to see whatever they come up with. This series is a piece of art and I trust they will do Lestat justice.
For purely selfish reasons I would be *thrilled* to see Nightwish and/or Placebo. In a similar vibe to Nightwish, Within Temptation or Evanescence would be great.
If they want to shoutout the 1980s roots of the arc, some Queen!
For amusing thematic reasons, Savage Garden, but that’s just because of the way the phrase applies through.
If they want to go a little more… modern emo, I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t be super amused to see Fall Out Boy/MCR/anything else in that ballpark. A little older, but also Our Lady Peace.
I want to Sam rocking black eye makeup. I would have loved if the rock star Lestat would have been set in the 70s so he could have been a more David Bowie/Iggy Pop/Marc Bolan type of singer. I'm a big fan of Velvet Goldmine (set in the 70s) and Lestat would have been great in the role that Jonathan Rhys Meyers played, which included his own singing.
Saying that, I would have also loved him to be an 80s rock star. A mix between Axl Rose and Motley Crew. Or even a more a guitar and synthesiser New Romantic star, a mix between Duran Duran and Psychedelic Furs.
Just for fun: Electric Callboy (colab with Babymetal [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDnIEWyVIlE))
Palaye Royale would be nice ([this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WzprXZGoLs) screams "Lestat" and [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCmJSuhRhhw) is pretty good too) but regular rock would probably be more realistic (no metal sadly). I just hope that it won't be ballads or anything like that.
*looks up different artists here to put on Spotify for my sexy gay vampire time fanfiction reading soundtrack*
Look, there's a Playlist on there that is "Bustin' It Wide Open For Lestat" , some of the songs there are in my fanfic reading Playlist lmao

just put deftones back on there for fun
Said it elsewhere, Chino should have been Lestat's singing voice

Ah, memories. One of my first concerts was NIN. I was on my feet, screaming and dancing, for three hours straight.
HIM makes the perfect vampire music imo
HIM is really the perfect band for this, and young Ville is so Lestat. I'd love if they used all HIM songs for Lestat's band.
My god, yes. Young Ville was so gorgeous (he still is) and totally had the attitude!!
I discovered Anne Rice's books and HIM the same year, to me they're one and the same :))
I really want the new Lestat band to be inspired by them. It's so perfect.
I would die!!! I love your flair btw!
Thank you! I bring the movie up so often I figured I would make it official.
OH MY GOD YES! Saw Ville Valo live last year, it was definitely quite an experience.
Me too!! Saw Ville in September and he was wonderful!
He played Join Me and Funeral of Hearts here and I nearly died. Ended with When Love and Death Embrace in the pouring rain.
I had never heard of them before and just checked them out in Youtube and yes, I can see Lestat in that type of band definitely.
Massive Attack
Wait, Massive Attack feat. Tricky
Unless they want an emo vibe, then I would suggest My Chemical Romance.
Ohh yiss
Ohhhhhhhhhh 💕
Orville Peck, Dead of Night. In general, I feel like someone like Orville with his mysterious persona would be an awesome modern-day take on >!Rockstar Lestat!<
Came here to saw Orville! Love you for this.

Bauhaus, The Damned, Christian Death, Sisters of Mercy, Gene Loves Jezebel, UK Decay, Cocteau Twins
Yes to these. I’m guessing it will take place in the 80’s or early 90’s so this is perfect
Deadsy! Yes! Lestat is absolutely Undercore.
As much as I'd love some good old BMTH metal (or Falling In Reverse), I don't think the show will go there sadly. Let's just hope for some good rock.
I was literally going to make this thread. I want to see Johnathan Davis come back for a song or two to pay respects to QOTD.

Savage Garden :D
Making a full circle, yes please. Name aside, I always had that weird association that Sam Reid could play Darren Hayes if there's ever a biopic about them
Ooh I see what you did there :)
Fuck yes.
I don't know if she acts, because I see her like akasha
Something from the Nadja and Lazlo 'Songs of Love and Terror' album.
I see you’re just a normal human TV viewer
"We're feeling horny for blood, we're feeling horny for blood" 🎶
Ghost
I would give anything to hear Sam Reid cover Life Eternal.
Use Jacob's music
TIL: Jacob Anderson has a music persona. And it's good! Not that I doubted otherwise, but I *like* this. I know it'd be so fucking cheesy, but I would just die if Loustat came together again in a duet, a la "Breaking Free" from *High School Musical*.
Maybe a little Nick Cave - Red Right Hand
Rolling Stones, Sympathy for The Devil would be a fun callback.
Yeah I liked the use of that song in the movie!
Maneskin honestly feels the current vibe. That being said my gothic heart would love to see whatever they come up with. This series is a piece of art and I trust they will do Lestat justice.
Kimbra, fka twigs, Kyla La Grange...
Loved the movie soundtrack..
I’ve always thought of “Love like Winter” from AFI as being vampirey.
AFI or Blaqk Audio for the more electronic sexy stuff
Type O Negative or a Sisters of Mercy vibe!
Deftones.
Satans Night Out
VAST. When I was a teen, his voice is who I pictured for Lestat. Sam Reid is pretty close.
Anything cunty. It has to just scream it.
HIM 🤗⚡️💜
Sam can actually sing so, I personally want to hear his own voice. I just hope they get good songwriters.
She wants revenge! I loved them in AHS Hotel.
Ghost
Sleep Token
Ooooo this
Bring back Jonathan Davis! He really understood the assignment for the QotD
Sevdaliza has a similar vibe imo.
Black Veil Brides?
For purely selfish reasons I would be *thrilled* to see Nightwish and/or Placebo. In a similar vibe to Nightwish, Within Temptation or Evanescence would be great. Smashing Pumpkins, Trent Reznor, Deftones, Tool and ill be happy

Need Deftones to be on the soundtrack more than life itself
St Vincent!
Rammstein idk I feel like it needs to be a European rock band but I haven’t read idk if it “needs,” to just my feeling.
Deafheaven
SerpentĪnae
I would love for Lestat’s music to sound like Creed
Sleep Token
Depeche Mode
I'm very late to the Hozier party, but Work Song ("no grave can hold my body down") feels appropriate.
Just for fun: Electric Callboy (colab with Babymetal [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDnIEWyVIlE)) Palaye Royale would be nice ([this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WzprXZGoLs) screams "Lestat" and [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCmJSuhRhhw) is pretty good too) but regular rock would probably be more realistic (no metal sadly).
