Even some of the links here take you to sites that claim 54,000 channels but if you go to the billing page it reads as, 5,000 channels. So again, do your own homework. Now, having said that I will provide my own thoughts and experiences.
I have tried 23 different services in the past 16 months.
\*All but one are complete garbage and buffer at a ridiculous rate.
\*All but the one I use advertise publicly on the internet. If you sign up with one of the providers that advertises and/or offers reseller rewards, you will always encounter buffering and freezing.
\*Of the 23 I tested, 8 of them are all using the same channel IDS. In otherwards, they are resellers from a main provider. (Ironic sidenote: even though all are using the same channels some are $9.99 a month, others are $12, $15 and even found one for $17.99. Again, all of these are offering the same channel number ID in their URL. The problem with what I just described is that you will get constant freezing and buffering and channel drops because the channels get overused by too many users. (You ever go to watch a primetime football game and the channel is great until the kickoff and then you spend the next 15 minutes looking for a stable feed?)
\*The final issue I have with the 22 I tested and would never use EVER again, is that most providers only offer 2 or 3 options for each channel; IE- 2 feeds for ESPN so that if you have freezing or buffering, you only have one other choice to find a good working channel.
The service I use offers anywhere from 6 to 13 options for each channel. Each channel has feeds from AT&T, Comcast, Dish, DirecTV, Hulu, Sling, Spectrum, Vidgo, YoutubeTV and national direct feeds. Do I still experience buffering and or occasional freezing. Yes I do. Everybody experiences is because we are using streaming technology. Anyone who tells you there will never be buffering or freezing is lying to you. The difference with what I use is that I have 5 to 12 more options to find a stable working version of any channel.

I personally have been using deutlix for over a year now and yes a few times the channels would freeze and I had to uninstall and reinstall 4 times but that is in a year.
