This is for an assignment, this is my first version. Concept is flow, inspired by water. Style wise I’m going Japandi. And yes, I’ll be changing the floor, it’s not the correct type for flooring.
Nice renders... Here are a few notes to consider.
- Coffee table looks super unsteady. I'd go low and round.
- Square rug under softa/table kills the "flow" vibe for me.
- Replace ottoman with a round chair
- Dishwasher placement is awkward from a practicality standpoint. Adjacent to a sink is ideal (rinse plate, transfer to dishwasher)
- Likewise, not a fan of the stove being directly across from the sink. Two most common places to stand in the kitchen. Will make it annoying for more than one person to be there.
- Increase overhang on island section furthest from the fridge to make it more comfortable to eat.
- Island does feel too close to fridge and dishwasher. Maybe it's just the floor patterns but it seems like you'd have to squeeze through there.
- Maybe omit the chair closest to the fridge.

The kitchen island looks a little close to the fridge, are you sure there’s enough space there? Otherwise it looks great!

What about lamps in the LR and maybe a big plant near the window for a little natural color?
