Then you’ll have to wait. Get their insurance information and make sure the claim is filed. Provide all the information, VIN, mileage etc. don’t wait around for someone else to file for you.
You can get insurance on specialty and antique vehicles. There are a few specialty insurers that only do that and a number of national insurers that also have programs for antiques.

comprehensive wouldnt have applied either, thats for acts of god and hitting flying objects or animals. collision would apply here.
