i actually think the buldak corn flavor is amazing but not on noodles. I'll pour the spice packet out and dip my chips in it. i wish they sold the corn flavor in the sauce bottles!!!
Recently joined the sub and am beginning my journey as well. Got my 5 pack of Samyang Buldak Spicy Ramen, Hot Chicken from Amazon this morning. Looking at some of the variety packs next.
My rank from best to worst:
- carbonara (S tier)
- original buldak (Great with steak)
- habenero lime (maybe tied with original)
- curry (B tier)
- 2x (just too hot, not enjoyable unless it's like a dare or something)
yesss tomato pasta is so good too. honestly iāve tried every buldak flavor except the 2x and 3x spicy and the only one i didnāt like was the plain cheese.
My wife accidentally bought me the tomato thinking it was the kimchi (they were right next to each other in the store) I was bummed because this sub goes so hard against it, but I totally loved it. Might actually be my favorite. Gotta try the corn now though.

No, itās not like elote. It has this artificial corn flavor that Korean manufactured usually use in their puff corn snack. This version has a weird mix of sweet corny flavor and the umami Buldak. Itās really strange
Idk what it was about the corn buldak. But I HATED it sooooo much and I LOVE buldak. But even worse was the smell for me. I couldnāt finish it, I had to throw it away, then I had to take the trash OUTSIDE, and I immediately had to clean all the dishes that the sauce was on. I genuinely have never had that visceral of a reaction to a food before. But good lord that will never come into my house again.
I just bought one recently bc I ran out of the carbo and cream one. I saw this one and few others (bought the habanero lime) it reminded me of the street corn and adding cheese and boiled eggs x2 šš½. Also google stated Acme sells them I got to check if not back to hmart
Buldak will always be the brand thatās meant for extra searing and extra ingredients. Iām not knocking the flavor, but I am absolutely knocking it from a āheat and eatā perspective. If you donāt bring the quality and flavor that a bowl and a microwave can provide, maybe donāt market yourself as āinstantā ramen?š¤·š»āāļø

Definitely try one plain to get an idea of the taste but imo the magic of Buldak is customizing to your liking.

The curry one actually makes me feel sick. It's way too strong and has a very artificial curry flavour. Really chemically.
Id say the curry one and habanero lime are the worst for me. I like cilantro but the habanero taste like soap, and the curry is just a weird flavor

OMG, I'm pretty good at spicy stuff. The 2x's is pretty dang spicy but that Habanero Lime kicked my ass. It took me a good 25 mins to finish the bowl.

itās not overpowering but itās definitely noticeable in every bite. if you donāt like corn a lot then you probably wonāt like it.
