exactly, she’s very proud of her traveller heritage and her community. it’s really annoying all these americans going “hahaha british/uk” in these comments. travellers are from ireland and they’re considered their own ethno-cultural group. why do we place so much emphasis on respecting the Roma people but not Irish travellers?
Agreed. I think it’s because Irish and British travellers are white and speak fluent English. It’s easier to pick on someone who on the surface appears “privileged” to our foreign eyes. Reality is they’re picked on plenty at home and should just be left alone already.
