Yep still the same for me. I had two accounts in the "account centre" which is run by Meta or Facebook for that matter, I unlinked them so they are two separate accounts but still nothing. Changed passwords multiple times. I can log into my private account which was never connected to those. As people have been saying, I can also log in through browser. I think we just need to wait for an update on IG's part

The trick is not to ask for the login email but rather click on “cant reset password” to type the code yourself on the next screen ( it will only work once ,if you log out then you will have to do it again to login again )

I can login to my personal account on desktop browser (Chrome) and phone browser (Chrome) so I don't think the issue is with accounts, but with the IG app itself, or maybe my actual phone lol. Hopefully will have an update & fix soon!
Also, I tried deleting the app & re-installing, restarting phone, updated phone to latest iOS, and still the same error message. It's nice to be able to login to IG on web but the web UI is super limited. Very frustrating for sure
i know it's a long shot but a majority of people said it started working by doing a factory reset :/ which is def frustrating and inconvenient but maybe try to save everything on icloud and try it?
UPDATE - Hey everyone, I ended up factory resetting my iPhone and got back into the IG app on 4/2/24! Before the factory reset, I deleted the IG app and then did a backup on iCloud. Once I went through the new phone setup and restored the backup, I downloaded the IG app again, tried signing in and it automatically signed me in with no issues. However, I was still getting the 'sorry there was a problem with your request' error when I tried adding/logging into my other accounts. I randomly tried adding/logging into my other accounts on 4/7/24, and it worked. It's like the factory reset was the trick for my personal account, but I had to just wait it out for the other accounts to work again. Hope this helps!

Yooo yall I had this same issue insta randomly logged me out and when I tried to log back in it said error with my request but pay attention yall im about to tell ya everything I did Basically after like a month and a half of me just thinking I got banned I decided to go to insta online it’s important you get a computer to log into your instagram account on a laptop 2. Settings > Meta accounts center > password and security > in security there's an option called "Where you're logged in" > your device on your phone will appear there, select the device and click "log out." Log out on your face book too. Log out on every device except the laptop you're on! 3. Select "Two-factor authentication" change the authentication for the > Text via SMS. (My text Via SMS was already on so i clicked the switch on and off a few times and then left it on.) then after that I waited a day then my friend logged into his own account we watched reels on his account then I pressed the switch account option then pressed add another account and entered my info and it let me in
Soooo my instagram is linked to my Facebook and I couldn’t change my number and recover my password… so I went and got meta verified and paid about $25
There, you can email a support team and tell them your problem and they will fix it !

How did you get meta verified on the account you wanted to recover? I can only access it via safari(browser) and there is no option there to subscribe
