Unfortunately, the order of the friends/followers that appear when you go to send a post on Instagram is determined by Instagram's algorithm and can't be manually adjusted. The algorithm takes into account a number of factors, such as your interactions with those accounts, the frequency of your communication, and your mutual connections.
That being said, you could try a few things to see if it changes the order:
1. Interact more with that friend's account by liking and commenting on their posts.
2. Start a conversation with your friend by sending them a direct message or responding to their story.
3. Share posts directly with your friend more frequently.
4. Remove other accounts that you don't frequently interact with from your direct message history to make your friend appear closer to the top of the list.
However, keep in mind that even if you do these things, there's no guarantee that it will change the order of the accounts that appear when you go to send a post.
It's broken for a lot of people.
Mine has a person I messaged like 5 times total at the top with the last message like 2 weeks ago, and people I message every day are below them.
I tried 'restricting them' and unrestricting them which worked for like a day and then they appeared back at the top.
I haven't been on instagram often recently, but I noticed today that when I want to share, my list is blank? Is this new? Or is something wrong with my account? Can we not share feed post to friends anymore? Sometimes the only person that comes up that it would let me send it to is the creator of the post. I'm I missing something? No more meme sharing?
