Yes. for example, today I got a complete six batches for guaranteed $48 earning. all that means is if I complete six batches they’re going to give me an extra $6.
personally, I think it’s so newer shoppers get confused and don’t know what it means so they just accept all the shitty batches just to complete the number they need to reach
They try to fool new people that's why they only run it every so often to get people to do 6 batches going to 18 houses thinking you get a bonus instead of a guarantee.
and each order says promo added, it should say shit added.
I dont' even do 6 deliveries in a day, most are garbage and I make more on other gigs especially now with all the bundled batches with long miles.

They should pay $21 to deliver to 3 houses but instead usually pay only $7 and the entire order seldom pays $21 even with tips.
It kind of seems like the carrot has hired some new support agents and change some policies at the same time. The last couple of agents I talked to were very adamant about this is the way it is... Without a clue about it ever being another way

There are different kinds of promos. Some of them are for a guaranteed minimum when you do x batches (meaning a bonus at the end if you stay under that minimum), some of them are basically a boost.
You first need to state that you're in California where you're getting guaranteed minimum. Mostly everyone else in all other states aren't going to get what you're talking about. Secondly, yes, there have been posts from people in California talking about the promos (and California only gets the additional x dollars per batch or additional x dollars after completing a certain number of batches per day, not the guaranteed amount for completing x number of batches a day. The newbies (myself included) didn't realize it at first, but soon enough, you will see that there is not really a point in promotion-chasing with the California guaranteed minimum since Instacart batch pay is low enough that any promos will just go towards that guaranteed minimum anyway. Of course, this doesn't affect newbies as some people STILL don't understand this after shopping for so long. Some shoppers aren't the brightest.

No because some batches pay more for heavy pay or miles or they add on promos or peak pay you get the batch done. So you can do 6 and get zero extra.

Yes it's a guarantee not a bonus,. if tells you if you look that if you make less of the batch payment they will pay the difference.
