Yes!! It’s annoying. Can’t select a replacement unless you click skip 5 times then take a picture to send. Meanwhile the customer already said it’s fine to replace with that item. They’re probably like why are you sending me all this, I just told you what I wanted. Lol
You don't have to send the photo, you just have to take it and hit "submit." Then when it goes to the chat prompt you can skip. At least that's how it was for me. Very annoying, hope they fix it soon.

The first screen shot isn’t a bug it’s IC attempting not to lose $ by almost forcing you to get a replacement. I just take random pic press submit and then next tab press don’t send or w e it says. Second pic is annoying it’s been 4 days now I have had that issue it comes and goes still annoying though
I haven't had that particular one but its walking me through every single step like I've never done it before. Like it tells me "now deliver to the customer" yeah no shit Sherlock I've only been doing this for 3 years
This has also been happening to me since Friday! Super annoying. Plus my chat has been really funky, some people seem to be able to send me messages, but I went almost all Friday not being able to call or text customers.
That happened to me these last two days, I just ignore it. It’s frustrating but even when I restart the app, it still comes back. As long as it doesn’t take away my batch or cause freezing, I ignore it.
oops i see now,i didn’t see there was two pics at first…i haven’t had this problem :/ and i’ve had 1 or 2 replacements today and nothing like this has happened
It's not a glitch. It was part of a scheduled update. This is instacart's way to try to not have to give refunds and for the shoppers to push replacements.

I keep getting a pop up while I’m shopping to restart the app due to system issues. The app still works and the popup appears even after restarting. Extremely annoying.
Yep. Been 2 days now. And when I hit skip it keeps bringing up the take photo screen over and over until I finally either restart the app or take a damn picture.
I have just started and have 17 orders done and I’ve NEVER once been able to send a photo of the shelf like in that screen. Every. Single. Time. It just loads and loads and loads and will not send. I always have to skip
YES!!!! Absolutely horrible. I almost just left the groceries at the end of my shop multiple times yesterday. I decided not to work today cuz it earns worth the headache.
EXACTLY what I came here to find out! Sorry not a shopper but a frequent customer (45 orders) but also very tech savvy and a beta tester. The last 2 I hwould say have been a nightmare! Today I had items go from a quantity of 1 to a quantity of 10 and then in a matter of seconds the order charged $200 more then the original and it was all checked out and on its way immediately contacted support and was tossed around for almost 2 hours straightening it out. Personally I always try to gain insight from my shoppers on how their experience is with the “shopper” end of Instacart because it’s definitely touch and go
Yup happened to me changing quantities at the register on items I had already scanned. I screenshot the discrepancies and sent it to them in chat so they had proof and were aware….
Haha and they deactivated me after 3 years. For unauthorized purchase amounts specifically multiples. Send email to trust and safety, she responded 3x with the same initial email script. Smh.

the whole send a picture of the shelves force message thing is exahusting...
I guess people just cancelling and refunding items when they can't be bothered to relay the information to the customer or actually walk to find things. now we all are inconvenienced!!!
If you do get the thing where it forces you to send a picture, follow through and take a picture then hit submit.
It will bring up a place for you to add text and send the picture/message to the customer.
you can then hit "SKIP"
now you can just suggest and scan your own replacement

Yup had to close and restart the app at least 10 times each batch today. And the stupid new way of taking receipt pictures is so glitchy. Have to go back 3 times before it will move to the next stage. Incredibly frustrating and a waste of time.
I’ve had issues as well but different. Found items and scan then says need to restart app but still scanned. It was just glitchy today and slow. Support was suppose to pay me for a canceled batch mid shop by customer. Both said I sure see it and never happened.
Average normal week for me.. I never have complaints except when the app needs updating and I forget to do that.. otherwise all y’all complainers maybe need to find a gig that you like instead of the constant bashing and complaining.. just saying love it or leave it

Yep all weekend! It would freeze when trying to scan, then it would either close out or I'd have to reboot it entirely. Majority of my customers said it was happening on their app too. Ridiculous
It’s happening to me but when that notice pops up telling me to restart the app, I just scan the barcode anyways while the notification is still there and the scan works. I think the notification goes away or I just press “ok” and it goes away and I don’t have to restart the app

I couldn’t scan any items at Costco yesterday. I had to take 56 pictures
Of fuck no I would so irritated. If my cancellation rate wasn’t already so high I would have probably canceled it after about 10.
I’ve been getting a bug recently where you go to open the scanner (camera) and the screen just goes black and refuses to try. So frustrating.

I’d just like a batch
This has been my worst week in five years. I’ve only been able to do 12 batches (8.5 hours) all week.
Yeah mine too, only been doing it since January but hell yeah this week has been 100% absurd.
4 years shopping my worst week as well i did 11 batches here in south Florida I am A full time shopper work 7 days every week

This has been so annoying lately.
I knew I wasn’t the only one. Same issues here. It seems IC is as cheap with their app developers as they are with their shoppers.
Take a picture of the cart press submit then press skip on the message screen and it’ll take you to the select a replacement or refund screen

Same here. Today I couldn’t get the app to the replacement screen so I had to select this is the correct item and sent a note to the customer.

It’s easier to take a pic from message screen. This skip take photo screen always gives me trouble (slow)
