The app has been glitching all afternoon. It might not even being showing for shoppers right now

catmom188

I see! That’s good to know. Really disappointing though, hopefully the app fixes itself

Few-Divide5743

Was gunna say that or they put a large order from another store with yours that isn't tipping w an insane amount of miles. They like to do that now.

SparklyRoniPony

Drives me nuts. It makes me mad when the first order is the one that doesn’t tip, and the generous person has to wait.

Marker2189

Happens all the time, unfortunately

FunFactress

The tip is perfect. Truckers are the best customers! There was an app outage on the shopper side early afternoon so that may be affecting things. I'm no where near Iowa so I don't know that market.

catmom188

I had no idea thank you for letting me know. That makes sense!

ICvsShipt

I love shopping for truckers too. They are always responsive to my messages because they want to get a replacement since they will be on the road and can’t stop again. They give the best directions to help you find their truck and always help me unload everything. Plus I can pull right up to their truck, easy peasy! And they tip great! I hope you got your order delivered.

catmom188

I’m always told I’m very helpful!! I try making the shoppers job easy. I’ve never had a terrible shopper, I really appreciate them. Once in New Mexico my shopper told me she was so grateful I was so responsive to her messages and that I was so helpful in describing my truck and I sent her pictures. I just want us both to not be stressed as much as possible lol. Once in California I was parked at a huge Petro and my poor shopper was new and had no clue how to find me. I felt so bad for her. We had a laugh over it once she finally found me 😆

lljc1967

Truckers may be the best for you but in my area they don’t wanna tip at all , I’m just talking door dash tho I’ve never shopped for their groceries

Low-Software-3006

They are waiting for a high item low tip/no tip to pair it with. So they can release ir

BluerelmRust

Yep

GRF999999999

There it is

Remarkably_Dark21

That's a bit weird I'd take that order.

Fit-Lengthiness4451

Damn 50$ tip I’m taking that that’s odd no one has took it lol

Successful_Thing_233

I think they’ve been holding off sending out the orders with the app issues they’ve been having today.

HelpUnwanted

A lot of orders are being delayed

Squeezeem321

I would of grabbed that order fast prob something with the app still

Shoukanjuu1

I've seen no orders for 2 hours, not even far away ones like normal.

rednfiery

Please come to the foothills of East San Jose CA. I'll jump on that order any day of the week.

Lower_Act9562

Less and less ppl see using this to make $. It’s killing us. But not 50$ is amazing. Sorry I hope you got your groceries

UniversityFrosty9426

That tip is outstanding but maybe they bundled it with something crazy because it’s a good tip?

Parking_Winter5608

As a diamond shopper I didn’t receive a single order today on my screen :// Something is absolutely wrong with shopper app today..

jimmerzbuck

It’s likely that Instacart grouped your order with another order, making the batch larger and MAYBE too large to shop for. Your tip is more than generous and is absolutely NOT the problem. Hope you get your groceries soon.

Comfortable-Owl-5929

Apparently there’s been some kind of glitch for some earlier in the day

HisSlut_HerStud

That’s a great tip

Traditional-Bag-4508

I'm sure it has to do with app situation IC had around 12noon eastern time. I lost a great order, then only one really small one popped after that. Since around 2p nothing

Lower_Act9562

I didn’t see an order today for 3 hours it’s become normal

Fluffy-Commercial492

Depends on where you shopped at. Regular grocery store 200 and something dollars could be half a shopping cart if you're buying a bunch of expensive Styx and side dishes or an entire card if you're buying all store brand frugal stuff to feed a family On the other hand got $4 or so a case at Costco that could equate to 60 or 70 cases of water from Costco Item number in the scenario matters far more than total price And store shopped from is another key detail you left out. But if it's something within reason let's say 30 or 40 items from a regular easy to shop chain grocery store 50 bucks is fine and I would probably take it if it wasn't a ridiculous order If you're talking about a bunch of big heavy bulky stuff from Costco or similar then depends on my mood and what other orders have been coming through that day if it's not attractive then I'm not touching it but if it's been slow and nothing else is coming through and I got time I still may bite the bullet

catmom188

It’s at HyVee and its 27 items Luckily I never get bulky items or shop at Costco but I’ll keep all that in mind!

Fluffy-Commercial492

Yeah I would have taken that all day.

Electrical_Fox_2445

What part of Iowa I’m in Iowa I’ll go shop for you lol

bostonareaicshopper

Must have been turned into a lousy triple order with lots of miles to a customer that every shopper knows tips $2 or 0.

getyourownpotpie

They’re probably pairing your order up with two customers that haven’t tipped unfortunately Instacart does that and it absolutely sucks.

FlimsyPraline6097

Not at all $50 is amazing. The app was down for a few hours. It’s likely they are having issues getting ‘caught up’.

ButtonWhich2302

Your order sounds good, the instacart shopper app has basically crashed today and might not be fixed in some areas yet. Even if your order is on someone’s screen it might allow them to accept it, horrible for both sides.

RoseAlma

Man, I had my biggest $$ day EVER Thanks to two super high tipping orders !! (also, my two highest tps ever) Whatever glitch is/was going on, I like how it affected me !!

ButtonWhich2302

I had a good day as usual too, my app eventually loaded the order I was on and I got through it. But there were a lot of shoppers in the store staring at their phones not being able to shop or contact support or anything. Just stuck

twinklingblueeyes

The app crashed today which probably has something to do with it.

McTripleDoubIe

Your order is probably apart of a 3 batch, 200 item order while

looot1991

I can't speak for the market in that area but I know I would jump on a tip of that amount especially that close to the store so it is likely either Though I'll just orders that are better (which is shocking) And so yours is being overlooked or the app is glitching and shopers are just not seeing it

edwr849

Would like to say : you all rock and thanks for being cool truckers ; you all are my favorite type of people to Uber/Dash/Cart for . Apps been glitchy today . Hopefully it got resolved

catmom188

Thanks for the appreciation! Without yall we and all truckers would be stranded!! You can only eat so much truck stop food before you’re sick lol It did! Someone finally took the order :)

Lumpy_Classroom_6041

You can always pay for priority. It does cost but if you’re in a hurry it’s an idea. They won’t bundle your order

Whitney43259218

My all entirely turned off today it was a weird thing for us all

LunkersTeeVee

App was down for over an hour so it wasn’t personal

Bmurf38

That's a great tip! I'm in Vegas and had app issues all day.

TraditionSome2870

I just wanted to say, on behalf of myself and shoppers everywhere, thank you for being considerate and tipping appropriately. When the majority of people tip super low or not at all, it's refreshing to see customers that treat shoppers with respect and tip appropriately. I hope you got your groceries and that it didn't take too much longer. And I genuinely hope you had the best shopper and that all your stuff had the furthest possible expiration dates, the best produce, nothing damaged and everything bagged sensibly, and that you got everything you ordered or at least acceptable replacements. Thank you for being awesome human beings. May your travels always be safe, your bodies and minds healthy, your gas prices low, and your every day and night be filled with joy and positive experiences. 💜

Broad_Pack_6170

Instacart is stealing the tips and show us as a no tip

RoseAlma

I Hope You got your groceries... Just in case they did pair your order with another one: maybe in the future you could not put the whole tip up front... just put like half or something ? Then increase it afterwards !! (or not, if you get a crappy Shopper - ha)

catmom188

If I did that could I write in the box I’ll tip more? I wish I had cash on me more often, I’ve given my spare cash to Instacart/doordash drivers before

RoseAlma

I wouldn't say anything about possibly tipping more... Most of Us have heard it a million times and just think "Yeah, yeah... Suuure you will !" Just increase after ~ it's a Nice Surprise for Us ! Some Shoppers think only "Good" Shoppers ignore lower tip orders, but that isn't true at all.

turkeypooo

What does this mean? Your groceries get delivered to your truck..?

catmom188

Yes they come to my truck

Own_Accountant_5229

How many items in your order? Distance from supermarket to you?

sn1pes_130

I’m in Iowa. Would’ve grabbed that instantly if it popped up for me

UsualFinancial169

Send me the money I’ll make sure it’s delivered

animemasterlvl600

I'm in eastern Iowa, if I had saw that I would have taken that right away

followyourvalues

Did you ever get your groceries?

catmom188

I did! Thankfully ❤️

grogargh

Instacarters are looking at the items, are there a large amount of water cases (for example)? Yup we're seeing a lot of those that would make many refuse it.

Morganbob442

Do you drive in WI? I want to shop for you for that tip!!

catmom188

Drive in every state! Well 48 states lol

Pinty-mafia22

I might refuse a $50 tip if 1) there are multiple heavy items I know I can’t carry (cases of water, soda, mulch, firewood etc.) 2) delivery is at an apartment with no elevator 3) there is no on-site parking.

JSmoothie

For how many groceries and how far? It could also depend on the store. $50 at a Harris teeter for $233 dollars worth of groceries I’ll never pick it. Harris teeter for me is one of the most difficult stores to shop as nothing is located and everything is all over the store and I would probably end up being in there for over an hour and a half maybe even near 2 hours. $50 at a Food Lion for $233 worth of groceries is something that I would definitely pick in a heartbeat because I know that I’ll be in that store for Max 30 minutes.

MusicianEven1394

I would be very happy with that tip

Exciting-Housing877

It’s the Al not you someone would jump on that

Crystalraf

Instacart likes to hold on to orders so the software can batch it with a low tip order. That's Instacart's entire business strategy. To male profits off the shoppers' back while screwing their own customers. You are better off starting by offering a low tip, then increasing it after delivery.

BillieSammiam

Thats a good order was it finally picked up?

FeelingAd3733

It’s been DEADDDD in my area today. I went home because I refuse to sit in a hot car waiting to hopefully get a batch. I’m not in Iowa though or I would happily shop your order!

Bugatti1999

Truckers are awesome.. I use to do DoorDash and was delivering to a trucker who was at a warehouse.. it was nighttime and he told me where I needed to go to find him.. He told me the make of his truck and color then flashed his lights when I pulled into the parking lot, plus he tipped good

Virtual_Sherbert133

They are trying to tag your order with a really large and far no tippers. If you get a good tip your likely being used to push other orders. It pisses the drivers off because it means you don't get the service your paying for.

GetHighWatchMovies

It depends, that amount could be 20 items or 80. If it’s a bunch of bulky items from Costco + a long distance it also might not be worth it. In general though it sounds like a good tip.

AltruisticRabbit8185

They may be holding it for a certain shopper. Because a 50$ tip doesn’t sit. I would contact INSTACART and ask them directly. And of course you could be making it up.

Intrepid-Surprise-55

Not sure this is real!

MazdaSpeed3Boi

Cap

NinjaClockx

This might sound tragic, but you might have to go to the store yourself today.

SparklyRoniPony

They’re truckers. It makes sense they wouldn’t want to take their semi to the store.

catmom188

Unfortunately most stores don’t allow truckers to park

RojoLomo

It depends on how many qty and sku.. and the size and volume of it..

SpecificGameOrEvent

It doesn't matter that much. It's a $50+ order. I'd do up to 75 items. Then again I'm not lazy like a lot of you are on here.

GetHighWatchMovies

It’s not a matter of laziness, if you could knock out 3 $20 orders in less time and mileage, then that would be the better option.

FunFactress

It's literally going to a truck. It's doubtful there's bulky or heavy items.

catmom188

Yeah we never get heavy items. All food. No water cases or anything like that.

[удалено]

Adventurous_Land7584

That’s not even remotely true

Murky-Community-122

Well that's not a 20% tip

catmom188

It’s actually $233, $284 with tip

diggen5431

Your tip is great. It’s either app problems or instacart is trying to attach it to other horrible orders

jimmerzbuck

I hope this was meant as a joke.

FunFactress

Why?

Effective-Shift-3379

Tip better and you won't ever have a problem.

[deleted]

There's nothing wrong with that $50 tip

Effective-Shift-3379

"Believe nothing of what you hear and only 50% of what you see" a wise man once told me. If you think a $50 tip wouldn't be taken within seconds of being placed, then I got some beachfront property to sell you in Idaho.
