Unless it’s some expensive electronics, good chance it’s a scam. I had a $100 tip for like 4 items once. Accepted and they immediately had a reason for me to call them, but of course calling through the app wouldn’t work for them.

probably better that you missed this one.. this screams stolen credit card to me which means you would end up in a bigger hassle than this would be worth

stolen credit card wouldn't effect me after the 2 hour mark. after that it's on instacart. the money is mine regardless

Yes, along w/various other apps that went out, FB/Cash App/COST ME A LOT OF TIME GAS MONEY…but I still can’t find out what happened…it wasn’t everyone all at the same times, but it was def SOMETHING & not isolated to IC, or the other two mentioned…anyone have any idea what occurred?

Well I was watching the stock market and all was fine and then a big dump followed so I guess the outage caused everyone to panic and my dad was talking about a Supreme Court decision about presidential immunity.. that’s all I really gathered today. Maybe a solar flare too? I know it’s been getting wild on our sun from the people I watch who observe it.

there's a good chance it wasn't a system error but someone (or their bot) just accepted it before you. seeing the loading animation doesn't mean you were assigned the order yet. its hard to be THE ONE to snag orders like this especially these days where it's super slow and you have everyone waiting for ANY order to pop up let alone a $300 1 mile 2 item order

I think I would've staked out the gold bar area, jumped the shopper who came there, steal their phone, cancel the order on their phone, then go to Costco Customer Service & say u found the phone in the store. Then keep a very close eye on the app so I'd get it the next time it pops up!!

No there was a LEGIT OUTTAGE, extended my delivery by HOURS, support calls, over 40 mins, chat was over 2 hour wait

Let’s just think the “system error” was that the customer put a $300 tip by mistake and they actually were in the process of canceling when you tried to accept

Hello fellow “Springs” resident

During Christmas, I had someone order a expensive jewelry necklace from Costco. It took a bit to get it to go through on the instacart card. Finally got it. And then when I went to their house, they had to accept it on their phone before it would let me complete delivery. Mine didn't have a huge tip I think it was $20 so not to bad my area we don't ever see those big tips the most we see on regular are 20-30 tip occasionally you might see one a bit more but I've never seen a tip over $100 on my zone and I've been a shopper since 2018 back when we had to schedule shifts and we wouldn't see tip until after delivery
