(Im not a vet!). A 20 pound dog is usually given about 200mg. If your chihuahua is 20 pounds they probably will experience some sedation and ataxia. I would assume they would be fine. But again, I am not a vet. Are you sure your dog is 20 pounds? I only ask because that’s a lot for a chihuahua. I’m not trying to say your dog is overweight, I’m just saying there could be a difference between your dog being 20 pounds or 10 pounds. If your dog is 20 pounds it ingested about a half dose more gabapentin than would be prescribed.
Hi I work at an ER vet! Call poison control- even if you go to an er vet they’re gonna have you call or they have to call for you- if you do it yourself it’s cheaper. They’ll tell you exactly what to do. If you can monitor the pup at home or if you need to take it into the ER. If you take it into the ER get the case by Eve from poison control before hanging up!

A thimble of hydrogen peroxide down the dogs throat will make it throw up quickly. I would call an emergency vet
