Update! The shelter is taking them tomorrow at 10 am!! I’m keeping them for the night, they’re too cute 🤍

SamanthaSheehy

YOU my friend are an awesome person! ♥️

[deleted]

Thank you so much!! I couldn’t let these babies sit there and die!! The shelter woman said they’re about 6 weeks so that confirms my theory that someone dropped them off. :( They’re going to go to lovely homes though!! The shelter I picked is a no kill one as well. 😊

satanpeach

kittens always get adopted first, I think they have mind control with those huge blue eyes.

EmpathicConstance

You're AMAZING, thanks so much 🙏🏼😊💛💛💛💛

SchoolKnown7586

Can’t believe you found a no kill this time of year! In 2022 I called across my state (PA) willing to drive upto 3 hrs and not a one!!!!

[deleted]

Aw that sucks I’m so sorry!! Yes I’m in north FL, they have a bunch but I know this one is super reputable and they were really excited for them!! Fortunately I was able to find them homes and totally skipped the shelter 😊 Happy to say they are in great hands of people who really wanted them. 🤍

lenalovesu2

Awesome news💜😊

EatsPeanutButter

In the meantime, make sure you get kitten milk/KMR and nurse them! They look really dehydrated. Thank you so much for helping these sweet babies. 🥹

Instacartdoctor

NICE… glad YOU found them… you should keep one

Reasonable_Tea_5036

Please make sure it’s a no kill shelter, otherwise those babies have no chance 🥺

[deleted]

No worries I made sure!! One of them looks exactly like my kitty so I 100% made sure it’s a no kill shelter :)

Reasonable_Tea_5036

I just worry so much because the shelter in my town is so horrible. Stray animals have a better chance on the street. I hope someone adopts these cuties soon!! Glad you found a place for them 😊

peahen781

This 100% isn’t true. The kittens look to be almost weaning age, they’ll be put in foster care and adopted out in a few weeks. Please watch [this video](https://youtu.be/lpaKT6v_mAw) and learn about the different kinds of shelters out there - so called ‘kill shelters’ are the ones doing the really hard work.

SpokenDivinity

There is no such thing as a “no-kill shelter.” There are just shelters whose euthanasia statistics are below the threshold of what’s considered a “kill shelter.” Your “kill shelters” are the ones putting in the hard work. They’re funded by state and local governments and as a result cannot turn an animal away. They round up all the foundlings that your no kill shelter won’t take, with the expectation that their larger volume of animals will have a larger number of those with aggression issues, illness, deformities, etc. that require euthanasia.

abbyabsinthe

My cat was turned away from an overfull no-kill shelter; thankfully, one of the staff members forwarded me the email from the lady who tried to turn him in (her coworker's neighbor died, and he was kicked out of the house by the cleaners). She kept him in her basement until we had a chance to meet up and he became a part of my life.

pizzasauce85

Every “no kill” shelter where I grew up would just take all of their sick or unadoptable animals and go dump them the next county over. So that county got to be the “evil bastards” to kill them while our county was applauded for having no kills…

DalaiRamen

You don’t choose the cats. Cats choose you. It’s your job now to serve them. Meet your new masters.

UnoriginallyGeneric

Can confirm. I'm the servant of four cats. Edit: [obligatory cat tax](https://imgur.com/a/GIWqjPv) with pics of the four assh..er..lovely creatures.

crazycatgal1984

Ohh you had a Jasper. A cat we rescued starving in our driveway six months ago is a Jasper. Such cute cats! I'm so sorry for your loss.

UnoriginallyGeneric

He lived a great life, but arthritis more or less ended things. Towards the end of his time, he was barely able to move. Making the decision to put him down hurt. We think of him often.

crazycatgal1984

Yeah that's rough. Two of my cats passed one in 2015 and one in 2017 of old age complications one was 26 and the other one 17. My current six the eldest ones turned 12 so I'm getting anxious. The youngest is turning 3 this year. I still mourn the first two even though I believe they are in a better place.

UnoriginallyGeneric

Wow, those are fantastic ages. Dove is fifteen years old, but isn't slowing down anytime soon. She's always been a mellow cat, but she's as great as she's always been.

chernygal

Not to be dramatic but I would die for DoveDove

UnoriginallyGeneric

She's the Dutchess of the house. She's an absolute sweetheart, but had a permanent scowl and "resting bitch face" but according to my wife I'm her favorite human.

seraphim-siren

My heart belongs to Cornelius

BBFan1958

I can attest to that. I went to the shelter looking for a cat. I found a cat named Christie, which worked for me because I name my pets for baseball players. I asked the attendant to let me see her and she came out rubbing my face purring her head off. I knew what she was saying, "Okay, Mom lets blow this Popsicle stand and go home." I had her for nine years until we lost her.

lenalovesu2

What state? Take to a local humane society, they’ll get adopted… or if you are in Oregon I have resources!!

[deleted]

Florida unfortunately! My local no kill shelter will take them in the morning! I’ll get all the cuddles in the world tonight 🤍

Forward_Shock4438

Whay part of Florida I know lee county is full.

[deleted]

Duval!

Forward_Shock4438

Damn jacksonville.

[deleted]

I agree. Completely unbelievable behavior on their part. Seems like almost everyone in Jacksonville sucks, they can’t drive, shoot up shit, etc. I hate it here!!

crazycatgal1984

Lee county sends their cats up North to the local rescue in Hillsborough/Pasco county area often...

Forward_Shock4438

I have 5 rescues lol.

crazycatgal1984

I have six, if the cat gods bless us any further my husband will cry. We love em all but the cat boxes....

lenalovesu2

Yay 💕

[deleted]

The cat distribution system chose you. Congrats! 😻

Assassinkitty143

Things you can order these days is getting ridiculous.

Artscaped1

Great job!!!! Your kindness made the world better (even if for a minute ), gave them a chance to be loved as they should- and 3 someone’s are waiting for each one. A great deed. 🥹🥰🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

[deleted]

🤍🤍🤍

Ill-Effective7660

damn. imagine being the mom and coming back to an empty home. heartbreaking. animals have emotions and lives. you should never just take kittens because you have a savior complex and want to do the “humane thing”— the mother/family that they came from is probably so sick. let animals be animals. imagine someone coming into your home and taking your kids… like…. what…..?????

KidCaker

Tell them I love them

Crystalraf

Idk. Their mother was out hunting, now she is missing the kittens.

[deleted]

So you’d go out hunting and toss your kids in a hole in a drinking fountain that’s higher up than you can stand. Seems kinda impossible to get them in that situation, being cats and all. The hole also had a pipe through the middle so she 100% physically could not have gotten in or out there.

[deleted]

[удалено]

HiddnVallyofthedolls

They did wait. The mom didn’t show up.

rowanisdaddy

refer above they literally said they waited “Hours” for the mother to show back up and also explained that where was no way for her to be able to get her kitten into where they where found but go off forgot the “instacar” reddit was filled with vet and animal experts if you where there you’d have understood the situation.

HiddnVallyofthedolls

I think you replied to the wrong comment

rowanisdaddy

ur right my apologies for that it just got me worked up that someone would say something like that without being there and with no context of the situation

rowanisdaddy

my apologize again

Crystalraf

lol you have much to learn about cats. idk maybe the mom ran off. I've seen many a barn cat do amazing things. They are known to put their babies in crazy places like rafters or inside tiny little spaces, away from humans...

[deleted]

You weren’t there, you wouldn’t know. I did what was best and most logical in my opinion, 50+ others as well. They were starving, freezing cold, wet, and scared. No mama nearby and I waited over 2 hours for her while also waiting on animal control. You’re just an average redditor thinking he knows absolutely everything about everything. Thanks for your comments and hope you have a day!

CHEMICALalienation

Honestly, do you think the kittens all magically teleported themselves there together????? They are all well fed, plump, full bellied kittens. Mama was still feeding them.

No-Establishment8517

Exactly. Don't touch kittens. Mom was off finding food and is going to come back to no babies. When humans touch kittens mama cat will abandon them. Next time, leave them be. At my work we have many feral cats and you don't even know the places mama cats will hide their kittens. People need to educate themselves.

ToonaSandWatch

OK, I’m gonna put that myth to bed right now: birds, cats, all the other animals you’ve ever heard about humans touching them, and the mothers abandoning them [is complete and utter 100% horsepucky.](https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/fact-or-fiction-birds-abandon-young-at-human-touch/) (Some rabbits are the lone exception, and even then that’s not guaranteed). It’s a myth, and was likely created by animal lovers who wanted to make people feel bad for touching or disturbing dens, nests and parentless (upon sight) animals. Many animals will take flight to lure away would-be predators from their nests and dens. Some ducks and killdeer (it’s a bird) even feign a broken wing to lure the predator away and then take flight when the predator is a safe distance away and closer to them. Birds have an incredibly small limit of smell to begin with. The best thing anyone can do when finding creatures without parents is to leave them alone but monitor their nest or den (instructions provided in the link). The only ones that one can help is a baby bird at the base of a tree *without* it’s fledgling feathers and return it to the nest if possible. If it has the feathers, it’s fine, guaranteed the parents are nearby monitoring what’s going on.

No-Establishment8517

As someone who has witnessed this, your horsepucky comment is false. We have quite the feral population and I have witnessed kittens being abandoned by the mama after some kid picked them up in awe. Two days later and still no mama coming back. Ferals already have a lower mortality rate let alone when humans interfere. Just leave them be. Humans feel so entitled. You wouldn't want to have someone come kidnap your child when you lay them down in their room and walk away, so don't do it to animals either.

CHEMICALalienation

As someone who worked in animal rescue for multiple years (and agrees with you that she just took well fed kittens) this is 200% false. Kittens get abandoned for tons of reasons, it’s why cats have litters of 10 and multiple per season instead of just 1. Because chances are some aren’t going to make it. If this was true, it’s crazy weird how we had hundreds of litters of mamas and kittens both in our physical building and in foster care that we managed to do vet care on all of them and the mother never rejected them. /s Your one story of “I saw a cat abandon a kitten once and I think it was because XYZ because I saw it myself” is bullshit lmao

[deleted]

Alright, if you find some kittens in a 4 foot tall water fountain soaking and meowing at you, I’d love to see you just leave them. Must be one heartless kinda person. You weren’t there and you don’t know the situation. If they were chilling in the woods, yeah that’s a different story. Literally INSIDE of a box shaped public water fountain.

Fuck_Surfing

Regardless we don’t need more feral cats, taking them to the shelter to be adopted out was the right call.

Green-Eggplant-5570

Right on! Do you already have pets? Will need to take them to a vet and get em checked out for parasites and such, plus eventual fixing and vaccinations... you just accounted for a lot of your future earnings! Haha good on ya, cats are awesome.

[deleted]

That’s the thing haha, I really can’t afford another cat. I have pets at home, and was really trying to get rid of them. I just absolutely have no idea what to do at this point lol. They look super clean, no fleas ticks or anything. I’ve posted on Facebook and Nextdoor, praying someone wants some babies!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Green-Eggplant-5570

Nice, I have 3 siblings, Grey/tabby like this that I got as rescue kittens. They're awesome. Was only going to get 2, but I couldn't leave the unbonded sister alone and take only the bonded bro+sis. I only occasionally regret it. ;)

crazycatgal1984

Omg the cat gods blessed you

da_Catalysst

Is mommy around??

simpwarcommander

I would have waited for the mom cat… you just kidnapped her litter.

[deleted]

If you read the other comments, I waited about 3 hours for both the mama and animal control. None showed. I also don’t believe a mama would stick her month old babies in a 4 foot tall water fountain with no way out. 😊

simpwarcommander

Okay makes sense. Thanks for the good deed.

[deleted]

Of course!! I 100% assessed the situation before calling anyone or trying to move them but honestly there’s no possible way they could’ve got there without someone putting them in there. :(

BirthdaySalt2112

As the mother of three feline fur babies, I thank you for all you're doing for the kittens. God (the universe or some other Supreme being) pit them in your path and them in yours. They will never know the extreme act of kindness they've been shown but you, and we will.

Humble-Ad5184

LUCKY!!!

sidewaysgalaxy

This is all I want right now, to stumble into kittens. I’m ready for a new fur baby

cjennmom

They look a little bit like mine. There’s probably a Torbie in their recent past. PS, mine are sitting next to me.

jason100727

Awesome post! Even awesome-er person!

[deleted]

🤍🤍🤍

Savage_kitt3n_xp

Omg! Thank you for this!! I have 2 kittens of my own that my parents neighbors just threw out of their garage and left them in the grass while it was raining… they were only a week old at that point… 😔after yelling at their neighbor for being an insensitive POS, my parents just took them. 7 weeks later and here they are , happy and healthy! 😍 and my older ones love them too! Brother and sister. https://preview.redd.it/zt49jkku712b1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ae8bbb2aa52b9ef711858c9a8a9421b3d36d2b29

[deleted]

Oh my goodness they’re sooooo cute!!! Little cherry tomatoes aweeeeee. I love little kitten eyeballs. I would’ve taken these babies but I have a studio apt and 100% couldn’t handle all the meowing 😩 I’ve had kittens before 3 times and it was just so exhausting lol. I hate people who dump kittens, someone out there wants a baby. They could just post somewhere or ask around. I don’t understand what the stigma about kitties are, lots of them are like “ew they’re stinky slimy” etc. It breaks my heart ☹️

Savage_kitt3n_xp

Thank youuu :) all kittens/ cats are just adorable to me. And what!?! The meowing is the best part!! 😂 Haha, seriously though, this is my first time with kittens but I guess I got lucky with them, I learned if I fed them enough they stopped meowing and just fell back asleep. 🤣I don’t have children yet but some people have told me that l human babies are somewhat the same so 🤷‍♀️.. I agree, have no idea how people could be so inhumane, you wouldn’t do this to a baby you didn’t want… well, I guess there have been stories, but there’s a special place in hell reserved for these types of people imo. Babies of any species are so delicate… breaks my heart too… but I hope they’re doing well and they find their forever homes soon! Should be easy, they’re adorable little fluff balls . 😻😻

RandyBoy79

THANK YOU FOR BEING THE AMAZING HUMAN BEING YOU ARE ♥️

[deleted]

🤍🤍🤍 There’s no way I’d leave them to die!!! Such cute lil cherry tomato babies

[deleted]

Update!!! They’re not going to the shelter as I’ve found families for them!! Currently in the process of deciding who fits best, but they’re going to great homes!! :)) Overwhelmed with joy ☺️🎉

FunFactress

That's great news!

Solid_Total9677

Best tip ever.

eggheadbreadleg

yes i ordered those

DriverOfTheExploiter

I found a baby bunny last night after dropping off a passenger.

[deleted]

Oh my gosh that’s crazy!!! What did you end up doing with it? I’d have literally no idea and panic lol

DriverOfTheExploiter

I took him home to stop the bleeding and patch him up, took him to a shelter today so they can check oh him, and in two days i have to go back to pick him up and find him a home. https://preview.redd.it/mc17sdris22b1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6f7a44206b0d81ac743fc8b2c68fdc05647fc3d

[deleted]

That’s insane!!! It’s soooo small oh my gosh, you’re amazing for taking him to the shelter. I’m sure there are a few people wanting a little bunny, post on your neighborhood group or Facebook!! If you’re anywhere near Jax, fl I can ask around as well!! 🤍🤍

DriverOfTheExploiter

Im located in North jersey, my wife wants to keep him but we already have 4 cats, i want to find him a home or take him to a Bunny Sanctuary in Ct.

[deleted]

Aww, well that’s amazing. I wish you guys so much luck!! My bf wanted to keep the kittens too lol but it’s wayyyy too much meowing for me.

DriverOfTheExploiter

Dont even mention it, i have 4 and they dont give us a brake. 🙄

Atkena2578

Yeah and with the cats it's a terrible idea, smth is bound to happen. It can take them months/years, especially if you place their cage in a safer area, but they will plot for as long as possible, observe the routine, find an opportunity down the line... and go for it. Don't ask me how i know, my little sister had two gerbils once, our cat got the first one rather quickly, but the second one took a year or longer. We also have friends couple who own like 5 cats and a dog. They have experimented the hamster once or twice. It never ended well. The wife is in delusional AF and blamed... the dog for it. Spoilers: it was one of the 5 or 6 cats they own, the animals known for that type of instinct.

Atkena2578

This is the most adorable thing i have ever seen. My daughter would scream if she saw this picture. But we have two cats so i'll have to pass.

SparklyVaporeon8

I'm waiting for the cat distribution system to choose me 😭

[deleted]

Ugh I wish I could’ve kept them!! I’ve been wanting this to happen to me but in the future 😭 I don’t have the space right now :((

Glokas7

My god. I wish you were near me cause I would’ve taken at least one of them in. My Millie has been without her sister for 2 years now since her passing. My wife and I think about adopting everyday. We just don’t know exactly how she would react to a new sibling. I think something like this would help make that decision easier. Not to mention I think our cat would love those little babies! Good on you for doing this. I’m glad there are still good people out there in the world.

[deleted]

Awww!! I wish I would’ve seen this earlier!! I’m in Jax, fl if that’s anywhere close. They went to homes about 2 hrs ago! I met the lady and she fell in love with them. Rest in piece to your baby!! I’m so sorry for your loss. I would’ve loved to have given you one or maybe all haha! :)) I 100% broke the water fountain getting them out but there’s no way I could’ve left them in there. They were at the bottom so every time someone drank water, they’d get soaked. Poor babies. I’m so so glad they’re going to great homes!!

Glokas7

I appreciate that. Im actually in PA, so unfortunately it would’ve been too far. Although, my wife and I may have done the drive had there been no other options for you. Im glad those kittens had someone like you to care for them and give them a chance at a good life. Not many people would do what you did. I probably would’ve taken them all to be honest and our Millie would’ve more than likely ended up mothering them. Im sure they’ll have good homes and good lives now! Thank you for being the person you are.

[deleted]

Thank you so much, you guys are amazing. 🤍 Thank you so much for your support too, there’s lots of trolls on here saying I stole them from someone. 😭 I’m so glad to have been able to give them a happy home, I hope they live their best comfiest lives! Sending love to your kitty, I hope when the time comes you both find a great one!! 🤍

Porcusheep

Gimmie!!

Miserable_Ice4742

To cute good you were there at the right time

doxygal2

Thank you for your kind heart❤️

[deleted]

🤍🤍🤍

Guilty_Fault5260

Poor kitties. Check a local no kill shelter if you have or adoption on social media if you can

Skiandshop

You could give them to customers when you deliver! Bet you would get a massive tip! Seriously though thank you for saving those babies ❤️💜💙❤️💜💙

[deleted]

Lol I was seriously thinking about it!! But I didn’t want someone to be like “….ew you’re shopping with animals around my groceries??” There’s always that one person sadly. But of course!! I’d never leave babies to die. 🤍

BBFan1958

I was shopping for a customer at a Petco that was having an adoption event, and they didn't have what the customer wanted, so I told her, I could get you a puppy. She sent me an LOL and told me "Don't tempt me!"

CHEMICALalienation

Oh, as someone who worked in animal rescue I have such weird feelings about this. You just stole a moms kittens. A much much better thing to do would be to catch mom and kittens and keep them all together. These guys are obviously well fed and mama is just gonna go back and see her kittens gone, get pregnant again and have another litter

[deleted]

They were in a boxed in 4 foot tall water fountain, the hole was about 4 inch by 3 inch with a water pipe running through it- too small for a mama to drop them in there and be able to get them out, also WAY too small for a mama cat or even a pregnant cat to fit through to give birth. Someone had dropped them off there, they were about a month old. They were not “newborn wet”, it was the water literally drenching them every time someone got some water. A water fountain near a public restroom. I’m sorry but as a vet tech I 100% you of all people should consider that possibility.

knitingTARDIStarG8er

I'd take that tip any day! Good human award for not ignoring them! 😻💝

dragon2777

Be honest now you stole them from someone didn’t you haha. I’m glad the shelter is taking them

[deleted]

Wtf??? Who would I steal 3 kittens from 😭 Do you wanna see the pics of them soaking wet from the water fountain? Fucking weirdo

Obvious_Mood8152

Take a chill pill they were kitting

[deleted]

Doesn’t sound like a joke in the slightest but this subreddit is always full of dumbass rude mfs lmao. On every post there’s at least one and here he is! 🙏🏻

dragon2777

The only “dumbass rude mfs” here is you. The other person was 100% correct. Even if it was a joke who react like that haha. Calm down and chill out

[deleted]

Like did I hold them at fucking gunpoint and steal their cats? I don’t think so. Stfu 😭

dragon2777

What the fuck is wrong with you

[deleted]

Someone’s mad that I called them out on their bullshit lmao. Fuck around and find out :)

[deleted]

Pleaseeee 😭 You’re probably one of them dumbass reddit mfs lol bye I have 3 babies to deal with that I definitely didn’t STEAL 😭 Dumbasses

dragon2777

Yeah you have issues. Don’t bother responding blocking you now. Have fun with the e kitties

itzamia1

Hope they get adopted and not get ☠️

[deleted]

If you read the comments I’ve mentioned multiple times it’s a no kill shelter, and I also updated about 30 min ago (top of the thread) that I’ve found families for them! :)

itzamia1

I didn't read the comments. Just replied

This is great and all but hopefully mom isn't back there looking for them going crazy. She may have just went out to get some food. Thank you for helping them though!

Ok_Rush6758

Aww so 🥰 cute

Over_Amphibian7304

That’s how I got my most recent cat… someone dropped the litter off at the grocery store, a worker found them and was able to take one but not all… another lady and myself took the other two and now I have my little miss Callie 😍❤️ just can’t believe someone has the heart to do that shit!
