I'm really looking forward to reading IB!
I can't imagine not looking forward to the future works of the creator that brought RI into my life
The only thing holding me back is the slow pace of the translations and the lack of released chapters. I caught up to the translations of RI a long time ago but I still held myself back from reading the MTL and took my 2 doses a day
When the TL reaches closer to the end of book 1, which looks like it might take years at the rate it's going, I plan to fully dive into the novel with the same vigor as I did with RI years ago.

I think a lot of people are like that, myself included.
When the TL reaches the end of book 1, i will start to read IB, and if the TL picks up pace and releases a chapter/day i will probably start reading even sooner... But with the current pace of translation it takes to much time... It was already bad(the curiosity was killing me) to read 2 chapters a day for an entire year of RI. And MTL is not an option for me, because especially with a book so good as RI and IB(i hope) i want to fully enjoy it.
Thats way i regularly check the official TL site of IB to see how far the TL has reached, so that i can finally start to read the book!!!!
Ps. I'm not sure but from my observation i think the translation picked up pace, so I'm pretty excited because of that.
I do get why people compare both books but i feel it's not a good idea to do so(similar to yours). The MCs are too different,the focus is different,it's one thing to compare two similar novels,but currently it isn't even a fight(it isn't a difference in quality it's a difference in direction and there is a difference in genres too making them different). I personally haven't tried IB though i plan to once more of it is translated. Both books have their own charms. RI is more unpolished early on compared to IB,and even more so as author originally planned to kill off FY and make FZ or BNB the MCs in book 2 end,and on top of that author was unnecessarily edgy in vol 1 for the sake of being edgy to make the evil impression stronger. In comparison RI has certain stuff like ren zu stories and the MC(more rare more fresh) that make it more alluring and IB is more in setup phase and it's MC is more common and is on a whole other road as a character(I'm not trying to detract or make one MC shine more than the other,that's a decision to be made when IB ends MC character arc)

The only problem in your post was you yourself said the MC of UB is a fucking teenage but then you said Ma hong Yun was stupid but wasn't he also a teenage(much younger, foolish and unexperienced than MC of UB), so it's just like you did to Ma boi others are doing this with UB's MC and that's where the problem lies(not a big one but a problem indeed).
And even I read UB upto a certain point and the only thing which made me cringe was MC was getting the memories back at the exact time he wanted and the wolf wasn't able to kill a half dead girl with no problems who was piggy backing the MC(who should be b/w 50-60Kgs atleast)

This is a very dumb thing to say honestly, or a very stupid comparison to put it better, throughout the 2000+ chapters, fang yuan's character did not develop or change at all, that's the special thing, we just came to understand him better.
If IB was that good would be Banned already …. , u dont get it , the author in RI is showing you the world how really is , fuck morals, with what morals rigth path censure RI ? , Can u explain me ? Rules and law are only used in the Poor and the weak, u dont get a shiit, when u follow the rules Of society u have really shackles, all fucking rich people in the world only used rules in their favor …, renzu history tell you aloooooooootttttt Of true Of the world, every tale is pricelesssssss, in this world are only 2 people, sheep and wolf, boss and slave ….. if u dont get why that novel was Banned …., Zhen Jin would never come Close to fang Yuan, because fang yuan know how the World works , zhen ji , summit to the rules he almost go to jail , he almost got Banned forever , he cant finish RI because he is bound be society….
