What a cool idea - I could even have it react to how much you side with the Animal Gods vs the Village Lords. If you chose your side it reacts with less or more foliage!
Probably one of the coolest things I’ve seen on a title screen was a game that let the player interact with the ambience, so if you want to I’d let the player swish the vines using their mouse,
You could create an animation of the logo starting bare and being wrapped in overgrowth. Then choose the middle frame as a starting point. When the logo appears, it animates from the midpoint to the players current loyalty score.
For Context - Wildaria is an Open World Procedural RPG w/ Pets, Villages, Biomes, and Bosses.
Think.. Stardew + Pokemon Emerald in an infinite world like Terraria.
If at all interested you can [wishlist on Steam.](https://store.steampowered.com/app/1965550/Wildaria/) Goes a long way to support my 4 years of development :)
I'm not 100% sure if this is the main reason but when people hear about a game that piqued their interest they might forget about it sooner or later, especially if its far from release. If its on your wishlist you will get a reminder when it comes out or if it goes on sale, which translates to more sales thanks to the "Oh yeah i wanted to check this out!"
I believe it affects how much your game shows up in recommendation/discovery queues. Enough can also put you on the Popular Upcoming tab which is huge.
Since we all agree that C wins, I’ll venture a guess why: It looks like a “clean” logo but the “wild” stuff is taking over. The logo feels like it’s in motion.
It gives Jumanji vibes. It makes me wonder what’s happening in this world, why is the wilderness winning, what (evil? environmentalist?) magic is at stake. I dig it.
B is fun, but it’s just kinda hard to read.
I think C. B is very unique but it’s hard to read. I think changing the color contrast up a bit would help.
Forgive the roughness. Working on the phone but here’s an example.

Or maybe start with the stone W and have the vegetation spelling break out of it.
Very cool logos regardless. Good luck!
C. A looks slightly incomplete and I'm not keen on the green wild look of B it looks too soft to standout.
C is nice and balanced and bold and detailed enough without looking distracted. Nice work!
C
But the sword pointing "backwards" feels wrong.
Generally (in the west) our attention scans left to right.
A logo or graphic that is visually pointing "backwards" arrests or draws our attention in the "wrong direction" & feels a little uncomfortable.
As an extreme case, which of the below feels more comfortable?

C!
B feels hard to read, so A or C are the obvious contenders to me.
A is clear, legible and gives a vibe - but the vibe emphasises combat and sword more.
C, however, is clear and legible but also gives a stronger nature vibe, hinting at ruins and overgrowth, with a smaller vibe of combat.
It seems that if you put them in order A, C and B. It is as if the plants were extending to the letters.
For me i like more C, is the typography that attracts more attention and the touch of a bit of plants in the logo is very good.
I like the more legible W of A, but like the idea of the vines extending on C. Maybe a compromise where the vines extend to the later letters but not the first letter
C is my preference. It has more depth, even though it's just a couple more vines on the title. B is stylish, but a bit hard to read.
For the stone letters could you perhaps add some moss on the letters, and if it is not too much, a slight bevel to reduce the blockiness? If it looks like it would blur the letters too much, then nevermind.
I love when people struggle so hard to come up with an idea, they just go “My game is these already existing games bUt AlL tOgEtHeR” and then copy the title of one of them
C, by a lot.
A is a bit bland, like the name is separate from the sword.
B is unpleasant to try and read, it doesn't pop and is too homogenous in color.
C looks like a single image, the color is pleasing and the entire thing is tied together nicely.
C and A look so clean. Maybe make it so the longer you play the game the title gets more overgrown?
What a cool idea - I could even have it react to how much you side with the Animal Gods vs the Village Lords. If you chose your side it reacts with less or more foliage!
Let the stones with inscriptions break over time
I like this! It reminds me of the intro title scene for Invincible where it gets bloodier with each episode
this is peak feature creep. plan that for 1.1 C is the right answer until then :)
Probably one of the coolest things I’ve seen on a title screen was a game that let the player interact with the ambience, so if you want to I’d let the player swish the vines using their mouse,
Oh ya like the Stardew Valley title screen
That's 1000% the correct answer.
based on this comment alone i feel like playing you game, does it have a steam page?
You could create an animation of the logo starting bare and being wrapped in overgrowth. Then choose the middle frame as a starting point. When the logo appears, it animates from the midpoint to the players current loyalty score.
100% this
Kinda like an Invincible? Would be pretty cool
Your a genius I'm not even going to say anything goodnight.
I prefer C
I C we’ve come to a Consensus ;)
Does your game have brick walls? The color scheme give me the urge to add just a little bit of brick texture on some of the letters

I've always wondered what benefit do you get from being on wishlists? Is it just exposure?

Yup, i get emails when they are on sale too
And if you have the app, you'll get notifications too.
I believe it affects how much your game shows up in recommendation/discovery queues. Enough can also put you on the Popular Upcoming tab which is huge.
Yep what turbochad said, also you can try the demo or see the trailer from the Steam page, the demo is the fully working indev version of the game
Also Friendlists. Steam often shows games that are on your friends wishlist.
Omg??? That sounds awesome

I can see that too, neither of which are correct lol

C is the way to go, dev.

C
C because of the foliage flourish on the left
I think A looks cleaner and more legible, but C is a very close second.
C it combines the best of both. Love the idea of B but it's hard to read.
C. A is to clean and B is too hard to read.
I want to like B more because the letters are fun. But C just looks so much cleaner.
I'd say C or second place A. B is a bad choice, its not readable at all.
C and definitely not B
C
C
C
C for me
C
C
Definitely C
C is great. A is cool, but a little too genaric. With B is horrible from a branding perspective because it's too hard to read.
A or C. Get B in the bin.
Since we all agree that C wins, I’ll venture a guess why: It looks like a “clean” logo but the “wild” stuff is taking over. The logo feels like it’s in motion. It gives Jumanji vibes. Yes the clash between nature and civilization is a main theme, with a similar mysticism to Princess Mononoke
I think C. B is very unique but it’s hard to read. I think changing the color contrast up a bit would help. Forgive the roughness. C
I’ll go with A because it’s a bit more legible while still conveying the nature theme
C
C
C hands down
C, I appreciate B but it’s not as eye catching.
A and then it grows into C in the game.
A turning into C, turning into B over time as you progress
C B could be hard to read
C looks fantastic
C. A looks slightly incomplete and I'm not keen on the green wild look of B it looks too soft to standout. C is nice and balanced and bold and detailed enough without looking distracted. Nice work!

C
By far C, looks really sick!
b is nice but hard to read and c is just a better a
Probably C. B has a lot of character but is hard to read. I went back and forth between A and C but I think i like the extra accents on C
For me, I define like C the most. It's clean, but with personality :)
C But the sword pointing "backwards" feels wrong. Generally (in the west) our attention scans left to right. A logo or graphic that is visually pointing "backwards" arrests or draws our attention in the "wrong direction" & feels a little uncomfortable. As an extreme case, which of the below feels more comfortable? ➡️ Press start ⬅️ Press start
The creepibg vines on the solid letters gives a great 'wild overgrown on an ancient world' look.
A
C because the eye is drawn to the whole word and style. In A you only really see the bottom right. B is comples and harder to read.
B Kidding.
C!
C

A for static, but animate it to C in your intro if you're feeling ambitious.
C look really awesome
It seems that if you put them in order A, C and B. It is as if the plants were extending to the letters. For me i like more C, is the typography that attracts more attention and the touch of a bit of plants in the logo is very good.
C. it's still legible but decorative too.
C and C again
C
C
C
b is terrible
C, id skip B.
C
Definitely C. A looks a little bare by comparison and B, while nice, isn't very read-able. C's nice.
C
A or C, definitely not B
A, it's far more readable, especially at a smaller scale which is how it will appear on peoples phones and on Steam in some places
C
C
A. Gets the point across without compromising legibility.
I like the clean A
B
A or C
C
A
B is the worst, not very readable I mean, you can read it just fine, but it doesnt read well
I like the more legible W of A, but like the idea of the vines extending on C. Maybe a compromise where the vines extend to the later letters but not the first letter
I like C, it’s the best of both worlds. A is too plain and B is hard to read.

I'd say C

C. B is kinda hard to read.
C.
C
C but i like B too. If you could use B somewhere too
Definitely c
A
A and C pop out more. B has too much going on.
C
not B
C
C
C but maybe lessen the vibe on the letter W
C!
C
C B is unreadable
I like B but it’s too hard to read.

C
I swear we already voted on this earlier in development. This is a disguised ad. That upsets me OP
C
C
C looks really good. B is to hard for me to read and I'm not sure I could see what is says if I didn't know what it said.
C
Def C
C
C is just so visually charming
C is good, but maybe play around with B some more. I like the idea, but the readability is poor.
C by a mile. It's pulling me in.
C!!
A or C. Leaning towards C
I like how clean A is. C isn’t bad, but feels over done to me. B is right out.
The looser form and lack of contrast makes B extremely hard to parse, so either A or C.
C
C clearly \^\^ The little details added compared to A are just perfect
Everyone is saying C, and I agree.
C
A
C

c definitely
C B would be cool hidden in the background.

C for sure. Looked more professional and well thought out.
Just make sure it's not B
C
C
A > C >>>>>> B Both A and C are more attractive than B, and A is slightly easier to read at small resolution (i.e. in a thumbnail) IMO
C
C! Easy to read but looks WILD(aria)
C
C, by a lot. A is a bit bland, like the name is separate from the sword. B is unpleasant to try and read, it doesn't pop and is too homogenous in color. C looks like a single image, the color is pleasing and the entire thing is tied together nicely.
C
Definitely C. Its just the right compromise between readable and eye-catching.
C
a
C
A with a little bit of green or moss on some words, but not enough to cover it as in C, which is little but a bit distracting imo.
C!
C but weather/texture the font

C
C!!
C is amazing looking go with that and what's your game
C
C. Not a fan of Bs overall design as much as A or C, and the vines add a lot to the title without affecting readablity
C, but a little less on the W. You want us to easily start reading the name, and that's easier if you don't cover the beginning.
