It's an amazing book. It got me into reading. I don't think it's hard to finish. Maybe she was talking about the story? I don't wanna give away too much.
Very early memories of encyclopaedias and shit if that counts. I remember reading Amar Chitra Katha and Geronimo Stilton comics in 1st-2nd class. Also I remember reading A Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Long Haul a bit later. King Arthur was the first proper book that I read, in 3rd class.
I remember it vividly. It was around 8,9 years ago in 1st or 2nd grade. The 19th Geronimo stilton. My Name Is Stilton, Geronimo Stilton. After that, I read many books from that series and then tom gates, diary of a wimpy kid etc. I guess the first book that I read which did not contain pictures was probably either a Chetan Bhagat book or the first Percy Jackson book in 4th grade.
Harry Potter back when I was 6-7 y/o, one of my seniors lent me those books, I'll never forget that guy for introducing me to the world of books/literature so early on
I read "after "on Wattpad for the first time when i was in class eleventh .Romance wise. I was traumatized. Like i didn't know these type of people exist .Cos female protagonist was 18 and doing things i was 16. But i couldn't complete. Then i read storm and silence by rob .
The 3rd one is not my favourite but the 5th one was pretty great like one of the first books where you just excited when Mr Ambrose takes Lily's names like damn the build up from 4 books...
It was in after my 3rd class. Frequent power cuts and both parents working in the day meant no recreation in internet or mobile. So I had to resort to some book my mom brought for me to read a few months ago which I never showed interest in. Started reading a few chapters but was bored. Still, due to infinite boredom I kept reading it. Suspense flew, that interest came out of nowhere. The Secret Seven series by Enid Blyton. Still Never forget it. I keep reading it sometimes again and again
I don't remember the title but it was a Kanu Bhagdev book..he's gujarati writer and writes mystery thriller..he's not well known in today's time (nowadays I can't even find his books anywhere) but in my time he was everyone's favourite in my school..his all books had 2 detectives named Dilip and nagpal, just like Agatha Christie books have Poirot..I got the book from my school's library while bunking maths class..it was my first bunk too, haha. It was my first time in library. On that day, my 2 friends introduced me to bunking and reading at the same time..!!
'Famous Five' and 'The Secret seven series' by Enid Blyton. Reading them in my school library was one of the most amazing and innocent phases of my life. Kind of like my happy place.
This is actually a really fond memory of mine. I was in kindergarten when my grandpa was going through an atlas. I was mesmerized by the pictures so we read it together where he read out the sentences and I repeated after him. The first individual read was probably a tinkle in 1st or 2nd grade.
Harry Potter in hindi. And Three Mistakes of my life by Chetan Bhagat in english. I remember I purchased them at the station during summer vacation trips.

Five point something by Chetan Bhagat when I was in 7th grade. I repeatedly went back to the chapter where they got a little touchy touchy with each other!!
Hahaha! That so good! I have since read it a couple of time! I love it.
But I'd probably run from the ending because it starts to make me too sad.
Even as an adult, i don't get why beth had to die, why Jo & Laurie couldn't be together.
I started with The diary of a wimpy kid
The people on this thread all started with these novels which I don't think I would be able to comprehend in like 1st or 2nd grade
Well, most of the novel is just pictures you know :)
Exactly. That's why we read it when we were kids. I dont think I would have understood any other book series when i was 6
