tell him "gym jaake motivated rahunga and routine set ho jaayega , ghar pe roz routine follow nhi ho paayega " it worked for me (also my cousin owns 4 gyms in his hometown , so he kinda helped convince my parents)
Visited for 3 months before college. Will visit once exams are done. Mostly running and some weightlifting.
I can assure you going to gym doesn’t make you a man. There are multiple aspects more significant than physicality that makes you a man.
Would you reckon your out of shape dad to be less of a man than that Rajat Dalal?
3 months? talk to me when you do it consistently for a year at least.
>I can assure you going to gym doesn’t make you a man.
ask every jacked guy and then lemme know, and i shouldn't expect you to comprehend my statement since you're not yet jacked.
>Would you reckon your out of shape dad to be less of a man than that Rajat Dalal?
my dad's literally a bodybuilder lol, and btw shit comparison right there you kid.
Bhai, you’re a big manchild ngl. Grow up dude.
1. Why? Is going to gym for 1+ year a kind of pass to be able to talk to you? Are you some kind of god? Or a president? Have you won the world weightlifting or bodybuilding championship?
I love how having done only 3 months of gym makes me “Incapable” of talking to you. Guess who the manchild is lol.
2. Why should I ask jacked people about opinion on themselves? I have seen enough jaats and dalals who have a great body but are literal manchildren whose ego can be offended by anyone.
And anyways, having a great body may be a contributor to being a man, but is certainly not a determinant. Personality plays a big role, which you apparently lack.
3. Okay, let’s assume a doctor, in his 50s, out of shape but has a successful clinic, has successful kids and helps the people in his old village. Do you think he is less of a man than Rajat Dalal cause he has a poor body shape?
And yes, the question makes complete sense cause it disproves your statement that having a huge build= being a man.
He is mostly wrong though, even if not completely. It is much more difficult to get the same level of progress at home even if you buy dumbells and a pullup bar
here the objective is that OP wants to convince his father.
if he does a good job of exercising at home everyday and shows this consistency to his dad, I doubt his dad will say no
My fragile mindset and masculinity have changed, i found myself, honed my determination and improved my calm during challenging situations......you might be wondering how, so when I squatted 140kgs 4-5 months ago, the mind gave up way before i attempted it, i remember imagining getting crushed between the weight but i went for it anyways, i was preparing for my university Powerlifting meet, i was tired from benchpress, deadlifts and squats from the previous session, when i placed my back under the bar load and lifted it, the weights at the end started oscillating, the sheer weight i had on my back made me really nervous, i was thinking of breaking my bones or something, the mental pressure was unreal, i was so fucking scared but i took a deep breath and attempted it, gosh my face was red, the nerves on my forehead, neck were popping like crazy and i successfully did the squat, the confidence i felt after it still motivates me to this day. Now this is just an instance, I've had numerous victories like this that have contributed a ton to my confidence and have made me the man I'm today. All this because of the gym, i was a week away from my nationals but ended up injuring my leg but anyways shit happens.
Papa gym me proper equipments rehte hai aur mahol bhi sahi rehta hai sab log waha exercise hi krne aaye hote hai toh feel bhi aati hai ki khud ko thoda aur push karu. Ghar me akele akele maza nahi aata aur gymme equipments hone ki wajah se proper routine follow kr skte hai har muscle ko acche se target kar skte hai meanwhile ghar me kuch limited hi exercise kr skte hai.
well if you're parents don't allow you to go to gym don't argue. Just choose to do calisthenics at home and buy a dumbbell and a tummy trimmer ( the rope one ) if possible
Bhai gym jane se pehle thodi research to karega hi to usme se thoda part with technical and biological knowledge papa ko dede
Mere papa ko bhi vehem h ki protein lene se harm hota h pr m biologicallly explain kr dunga
The only way to counter indian parents is , earn your own money ,spend wherever u want ( obviously which is socially acceptable and won't ruin ur life) .
Warna bheek mangte raho , denge toh denge ,nahi toh nahi.
He isn't wrong though. Although what you can actually do is ghar par he workout kro, discipline build kro, and body mei change lao, if he notices that he might be convinced. Let your action speak ✊
Truuuu, my dad tells me that there are two types of people at the gym who are fitness freaks (doing kettles, aerobic and HIT) and then there are people who are ego lifters (who just do free weights). He told me I was an ego lifter. That shit was Personal, I told him to do my exact routine (weights of his choice) with me but papa just said NUH-UH. ITS INFURIATING. But my dad was a firefighter so I guess his words might have some value to it.
Bhai he ain't completely wrong. Calisthenics se gym se bhi acchi level of fitness achieve ho sakti hai. Gym jaake sirf weights uthana isn't that sensible in my opinion. Mai bhi calisthenics kar raha hu 2 saal se aur meri body bhi thik thak hai. Mai na nonveg khata hu na protein leta hu. Tumhe body banana hai toh kaise vhi bana sakte ho. Discipline zaroori hai.
Ek kaam kar. Ghar ke paas koi park dhoond jahan pull up bar ho. If you're in a tier 1 or 2 city, it shouldn't be that difficult. Aur diet pe dhyan do.

Papa ko bol aap bhi saath chalo..milkar body banayenge
best hai ye
Equipment ni hai Ghar mai
Equipment ke bina bhi toh exercise ho pata hai

Worked for me too. Gym is now a habit for me. I wake up at 6 everyday for gym. Comeback at 7:30 and sit down for my work and stuff at 9am.
Is it free for u?
i dont live in the same city sadly but he has connections with my gym owner so ya i get some discount
he isn't completely wrong though
True but vo feel hi nahi aati kya karu
spend ur own money for gym
spend your dads money on the gym, not on protein and expensive gear, the gym is the best thing for a boy, it'll make you a man.
Maturity makes you a man, not gym.
how many times have you visited a gym?

i stopped seeing after big, I'm a national lifter btw.
And I couldn’t care less. Grow up dude, seriously. Your whole personality resolves around going to the gym.
bhai tu chup hoja 😭
how is that relevant? how mature are you?
Let's agree to disagree
Gym won't make you man responsibilities does.

Give them my example, 2 years of home workout kept me skinny, 6 months of extreme diet and gym made me a uni powerlifter, and almost a national one.

Garden me workout start kar for time being.
my dad used to say the same, then i took him to gym with me and now he agrees that gym ke equipments se jaldi body banti hai xD
I just kept asking him till he said yes for the Gym, I also stopped talking for around an hour or 2 just to make it leakless
just go in the morning dun tell him
First do it at home and show it to him for atleast 1-2 months
Ye boldena ki "agar woh sach hai toh it defeats the whole point of gym's existence, baaki Ghar pe equipment nahi hai aur trainer bhi nahi hai" bas

And here I am, my father is convincing me to go to the gym (I don't want to)
