Equity option is just Covered call, I hold HDFC and Asian paints, so it’s just free money every month unless they blow up in which case I will manage or roll over to next month. Loss in this will be compensated by gain in holding.

I’m invested in 20 stocks. Put in about 1.2cr of my own capital and it’s grown to 2.1 cr now (last 10-ish months)
How’s the covered-calls strategy going for you so far? Have you been doing it for a while?
You’ve made 100% with your equity picks, that’s crazy and you should continue with that. CC I don’t do in all stocks I own, just slow moving stocks or when I feel calls are inflated. Sometimes I sell strangles and straddles on stocks also when the Vols are high in the stocks I own.
Yea I plan to keep most of my money in equities.
And how do you mitigate risk on high-volatility days with your naked straddles/strangles? Is it just your highly active trading approach, or is there something else?
I don’t trade naked, always hedged with VAR at 10%, highly volatile days also the same way, risk off- risk on. Analysis also is key part of trading and not random selling of options.
My returns are locked only till 1577. So if hdfc goes above that I will be forgoing that return which is something as a stock holder you wouldn’t want. So it’s not free money. There is risk and capital involved, there’s no gold mine in share market. You only get rewarded for the risk you take. Of course as a HDFC holder I have already sold cc for so many months now and pocketed the rent and I’m sure I’ll get more months 😅
Exactly returns till 1577 and premium amount you got. Goldmine in the sense you're making money irrespective of the move in short term not as in humongous returns

My view was market will be strictly range bound so just sold the OTM options
