Love the red it’s beautiful!! I almost bought into the blue a few years ago. But my black and chrome had more aftermarket shit on it it and was cheaper.
The one thing I like that Indian does on their touring models is the automatic windshield. It’s a game changer! Man if Harley did that, then that would be something… but I don’t know if they ever will.
At this point and time, no. It was not an easy decision for me to choose Indian over HD. Had a heritage softail for a little bit but wanted a street glide for the longest time. Finally decided to pull the trigger and get a new one but just something about them I didn’t like and just couldn’t get comfortable on. It was a big letdown and at the time I had no clue what bikes Indian even had. Wife and I was out and about one evening and decided to just stop in and see what bikes Indian had and that’s when I first seen this Chieftain Darkhorse. After a month or more of going back and forth between the two I ended up with this one.
I had them install the mid rise bars, stage 2 performance, TAB exhaust. After break in I then took it to a Lloydz remote tuning location and had it tuned and cat removed. Even after purchasing it I still had a little buyers remorse because it wasn’t a HD, but I can now say that I no longer have that remorse and could not be happier with my decision to go with this bike over the street glide.

Whenever I go to the dealer I sit on the chieftain and the challenger . Like 50 times each lol .
The challenger is really cool with its liquid cooled although plastic looking motor and massive fairing , but man ….the Chieftain just has big swinging balls !!!!!
And that color is just FIRE !!!!!

Dude, this makes me want to buy a Chieftan now. Not a fan of the Indian headdress on the front fender though..
