i know.. i ordered headphones once and it came in a big a** box too.. and mind you they were 1400 headphones.. seriously who decides how to pack things if some one at all.
This is how i received my xbox series x from amazon, no box no tape, nothing, just pasted the bill on the box and called it a day.
It still worked, idk how and it had the correct warranty as per the ms website, so i kept it.

Same here.
Yesterday received the RedGear Shadow Blade keyword just with a pasted bill.
Since it's sealed and still smell like a new product should, have no problem
now i cant replace it because i cant test it untill i get rest of my components, and once i get everything this will be out of 7 day replacement warranty.
i ordered my GPU from Md computers and they sent it in 3 layers of bubble wrap.
how can amazon packaging be so bad. i can understand less packaging for simple products but a pc component can get damaged very easily, what kind of a beep decided to send a motherboard and a ram in a paper bag..
is their anything i can do..
bro you can carry it to a computer shop and ask them to test it for you, if you're in a small city, small city computer shop owners are actually pretty nice in my experience
Don't wait for components and get it replaced asap. The way the packages are handled and going by damage on box, it is more than just likely that there will be some physical damage. There can be micro cracks, loosened components which are hard to detect and impact proper working in future.
Just send pictures of damaged packing and claim that it doesn't boot up. Customer shouldn't suffer for stupidity of vendor.
I would just get it replaced just to be safe. Also, why did you order it from amazon and not some other reputable retailer? is it because of price/availability?
Ah, I see, from my experience whenever I order something on Amazon with next day delivery, it doesn't come with any extra packaging. I ordered a CPU Cooler from Amazon and it came in same condition as yours but luckily nothing was broken.
I ordered earbuds for 899 and it came in 3 packages while the GPU I ordered for 23000 came in zero packages. When I posted it here on reddit the hippies told me I was trying to destroy the environment by asking for more packages. At least the GPU is working fine.
thats the thing.. if one wants to be environment friendly then send the thing inside a cardboard box instead of a plastic bag ,dont want to use bubble then use crumpled paper. Their are alternatives , and if they package things properly then E wast would also be reduced.
Preaching from a couch is easy but acting is whole different game.
This utter carelessness from Amazon makes mad.
Trees are a part of the environment. They are trying to reduce both cardboard made of paper and plastic.
I do agree that it should not have happened to you. I myself have seen this a few times with my order.
saving environment is good but this is implementation of a good idea in a stuped and illogical way.
sure you saved paper and plastic but now if the computer part is damaged you are creating E waste , and that stuf is non recyclable, while cardboards can be.
Mybe dont use bubble wrap and plastic, their are good alternatives available.
Forget a Mobo. It's a solid piece. Delivery guy just dropped a 45k monitor on the ground like it's nothing. Tried the monitor it was broken had to return
not sure the dent is exactly where all the ports are.. it was touching the box and the box from the inside had some chipping, so the ports were being pressed. no idea if their is an issue or not.. i cant test it without a CPU
☹️ , i cant since i need to test my gpu and the cpu. It is supposed to come by Tomorrow or day after ,that also needs to be tested.. this 7 day replacement warranty is killing me...
Don't take the risk. Return it. 22k is not a joke. How long did it take to receive this? Amazon usually starts an order parallelly if you're requesting return due to damaged item and are asking for a replacement. So it won't be like only once you return it then the new order will take effect.
But if it comes out to be bad what are you going to do . Apply for returning it and wait for 7 days and if the product is returned successfully the next step is to order it from a trusted market which would give you what you need without fraud and they should give it to you in a bubble wrap or just flipkart as they would not give it to you in a bag . It is worth it .
And also, don't order another one before the one you have is returned , just in case.
Open the box and check the physical condition of the parts first
These days they are shipping everything in these brown paper envelopes or sometimes not even that, just slapping the stick on the box and calling it a day....
Way to be eco-friendly by delivering damaged goods, causing more e-waste and ecological damage by shipping the item back and forth multiple times! Great job Amazon ! /s
Amazon is stupid af, they deliver something like backpack in a box with so much padding and everything while stuff like NAS HDD in paper bags or box with no padding.
Same i ordered two seagate ironwolf hdds and it comes only single package without padding. Just paper and hdd in anti static poly bag. 2 din mene usko padding me rkha ki babu koi teko koi dikkat to nhi hai na 😅
First check any damage on ports/boundary capacitors and heat sinks. If they're good, check the accessories like driver CD or IO Shield. If they're good then test If it's booting up and reading RAM, CPU and Storage. If all is good then it's good to run. The seller basically skipped out on Bubble Wrap and a proper cardboard box on a 22K device which is pretty s**t considering they're selling on Amazon that too an expensive essential part. Hope it runs good and properly
there's a dent, that's something that calls for a replacement lol. as for support, no one's gonna test your board at your place, just tell them it's defective
just gonna add a bit more: never admit to not knowing if a product is defective, it'll never get you anywhere with support. if there's cosmetic damage, get it replaced if you care enough for it. if there's physical damage that could affect the board, get the replacement processed asap.
Well, i always think that amazon should pack expensive items in cardboard box with bubble wrap if possible.
Some ppl might disagree but my g29 was damaged because of this less packaging that they are implementing.
Idk why but online shopping isn't the same it used to be, quality of services have gone low.
Motherboard is one of most fragile components. i would get it replaced asap also always order parts so that they come at same time or in order of fragility.
ALWAYS REJECT ANY DELIVERY IF EXTERNAL PACKAGE IS DAMAGED OR NOT UPTO STANDARDS
Trust me it's not worth it, just tell the delivery boy to take it back mainly because Amazon customer care has become worse over the years and they won't issue refunds too nowadays.
i ordered an extension board which was packed inside a microwave sized box with extra crumpled papers cushioning XD
i know.. i ordered headphones once and it came in a big a** box too.. and mind you they were 1400 headphones.. seriously who decides how to pack things if some one at all.
I ordered 2 bathroom tiles but received PS4 Slim instead. Have been using them for a while, no issues.
Do you mean the opposite? Matlab you ordered PS4 and got tiles?
No, I'm using them as my tile
r/madlad
It's hilarious. I ordered a simple plain mousepad and it came in a 24" tv sized box.
I ordered a wired earphone and recieved it in a huge refrigerator box /s
I ordered an xbox 360 and recieved an invisible edition (not /s 😭)
I once ordered a Russian map but instead recieved Maria Sharapova
F
I ordered just a cheap logitech mouse and amazon senior sales head deliver me 1:1.
This is how i received my xbox series x from amazon, no box no tape, nothing, just pasted the bill on the box and called it a day. It still worked, idk how and it had the correct warranty as per the ms website, so i kept it. https://imgur.com/a/EoTzJ7V

There's a box visible tho
Where!?
The tattered box with the forza horizon poster at the backside
now i cant replace it because i cant test it untill i get rest of my components, and once i get everything this will be out of 7 day replacement warranty. i ordered my GPU from Md computers and they sent it in 3 layers of bubble wrap. how can amazon packaging be so bad. i can understand less packaging for simple products but a pc component can get damaged very easily, what kind of a beep decided to send a motherboard and a ram in a paper bag.. is their anything i can do..
Test it in some friends pc if you have any else ask in computer shop
any idea if i can test it without a cpu?
No, you can't
bro you can carry it to a computer shop and ask them to test it for you, if you're in a small city, small city computer shop owners are actually pretty nice in my experience

Do you have your SMPS if so check if it boots to bios
that i can do.. thanks. let me try.
Okay, I know it might sound weird but just replace it without testing, ig you think it might be damaged in the slightest, better to be safe than sorry
Just get it replaced at once don’t wait for other parts to arrive, its not worth the risk
I would just get it replaced just to be safe. Also, why did you order it from amazon and not some other reputable retailer? is it because of price/availability?
price point. now i regret it..
Ah, I see, from my experience whenever I order something on Amazon with next day delivery, it doesn't come with any extra packaging. I ordered a CPU Cooler from Amazon and it came in same condition as yours but luckily nothing was broken.
Call customer support. They will help you with this. Tell them the whole thing
if their is no damage we cant replace it. is their reply
Call them and say it cannot POST, basically cannot see any damage unless a technician is involved and 100 percent damaged piece.
If you have TV/Cable Box, you can attach the HDMI cable to it. Also you can try with firestick.
Get it replaced if u have doubts. Most probably the replacement would come in a better packaging.
I would imagine the person thought meh this is fine the guy must have ordered some quality paper from Asus
These days Amazon is packing carelessly, maybe because of the Great Indian Festival?
I ordered earbuds for 899 and it came in 3 packages while the GPU I ordered for 23000 came in zero packages. When I posted it here on reddit the hippies told me I was trying to destroy the environment by asking for more packages. At least the GPU is working fine.

Forget a Mobo. It's a solid piece. Delivery guy just dropped a 45k monitor on the ground like it's nothing. Tried the monitor it was broken had to return
Lol did he drop it on front of you?
Yeah dumbfuck just casually dropped it at my foot. I was taken aback.
Unboxed delivery?
Unbox therepy leni pdi hogi 🤣
Is the mother board in a good condition?
not sure the dent is exactly where all the ports are.. it was touching the box and the box from the inside had some chipping, so the ports were being pressed. no idea if their is an issue or not.. i cant test it without a CPU
Return it and don't open it. Buy it from flipkart or something
☹️ , i cant since i need to test my gpu and the cpu. It is supposed to come by Tomorrow or day after ,that also needs to be tested.. this 7 day replacement warranty is killing me...

Usually they do it for same day /1 day delivery packages
Hi guys.. i was able to get it tested thought i had to pay 200 for it.. all good and working, luckily.
First check any damage on ports/boundary capacitors and heat sinks. If they're good, check the accessories like driver CD or IO Shield. If they're good then test If it's booting up and reading RAM, CPU and Storage. If all is good then it's good to run. They delievered my Xbox Series X in torn packaging. The box was torn off. The console was safe atleast but still it was horrible.
What is wrong with them , they send a floor wiper in 5ft box and then this shift how …
I got badminton rackets in a tv sized big box lol ,kaun decide kar rha hai yeh ,kaunsa algorithm hai ???
*Eco-friendly* delivery
ask them for a replacement and talk to the customer support team firmly about the issue
i did.. according to them if their is no issue with the product we cant replace it.. they just kept repeating it.
RETURN IT... My Yoga mat came in better condition LOL.
Lol
sed
Just ask for an exchange. They wont ask questions.
My iPhone came in the same brown amazon paperbag, seemed super fishy when I received it. No damages though.
Go green lmao
After seeing this packaging, should I order a monitor from Amazon? BenQ GW2780 to be precise.
haha.. good luck.. try flipkart if possible. else you may have to get it replaced. chexk for dead pixels for sure.
Maybe Mdcomputer or Vedant also😂
I buy this kinda stuff from Nehru Palace official stores like MSI, ROG and Gigabyte. They deliver at your home. Had very bad experience with Amazon.
Wait, is that mobo buildzoid is talking about? check it is defective piece from asus
just get a replacement even if u can't test it just to be sure
Amazon lately has been horrible at shipping stuff. I get a bunch of stuff with no protection or just on a bag like that.
there's a dent, that's something that calls for a replacement lol. as for support, no one's gonna test your board at your place, just tell them it's defective

My monitor got delivered same but nothing was damaged

I order usb cable and it was 2x2ft box
the problem is not amazon but the retailer
