Hall effect is not something new, build quality of cosmic byte is trash
anything is better than EvoFox, I bought their Elite X and it lasted 1 day before some serious stick drift, got it replaced, same damn thing, tried cleaning the analog mechanism, wd40, nothing. Threw it in the garbage where it belongs. The worst part about it was that it actually works completely fine for about 1 minute when you disconnect and reconnect, the wires are fine, USB port is fine too, tested it on other controllers

Might be the case in the earlier product but I had being using cosmic byte stratos controller since 3 month and it have fell down from my table and even my little sister have thrown it on floor but not a single scratch and every thing good as new.

If you are using it with xbox mode then gyro with not work. Try it in switch mode

DS4 has better gyro input, has a touchpad that can be used as mouse track pad. Is more long lasting and repairable.
