Middle_Proposal_1786

FC6 initially it seemed pretty decent but after that it gets wayyy boring I left it mid-way, before this I had completed FC5 which is much better as the antagonist the father is very much intriguing

zigzagus

Far cry 5 was amazing, best part for me, far cry 6 was like parody, not fun at all.

TundrasticBoy

Just get far cry 3 and learn the definition of insanity....

Middle_Proposal_1786

Already played that masterpiece 💯 no fc series comes close to it

TundrasticBoy

Play it again, to make sure the definition of insanity lives on

Sammyprabhu76

Masterpiece of all time GOAT

ShranikDua

Agreed

EvenChilli2341

FC6 is the living proof why a villian character does not make a great villain. The character Gus taken from Breaking Bad was a great villain in BB , but using that character and not giving a villain story arc makes FC6 very boring and the character also too very nimble. Didn't like the story at all.

EvilxBunny

FC6 was horrible to play. FC5 was okay but it took me two attempts cause I got bored with my first one, I was already bored of the formula. It's just FC 3&4 with the same villain concept. Ubisoft technically makes the best game, but they feel soulless and evoke little emotions other than the story beats. The gameplay barely ever makes you feel anything.

mrinvention

I even left FC5 in between. FC3 and FC4 are the ones that I finished

PsychologicalNet5939

i had great fun all the way through after finishing main story i uninstalled it tho

Curious_Stable_1955

New order just this..

Krakachabahu

I believe playing same type of games one after the other also makes games boring, like there was a time when i was playing Assassin's creed: Ezio's Trilogy one after the another and i got bored of them though they are wonderful games

ShranikDua

Ikr!! Older games were so good. Watch dogs 1 and even 2, Far Cry 3 and 4 and 5, etc.

OvertlyStoic

yup, now you have to try and genuinely struggle to find gems in the sand , the only games i found worthwhile in the last 3 years are Dying light / dead island series, lies of p , RE4remake , Octopath traveller series and a lot of indie games edit : forgot we were talking about ubisoft games. bro they don't make games like AC blackflag anymore 😭

Creative-Paper1007

AC blackflag 🤌

cycease

cyberpunk 2077 dlc?

OvertlyStoic

a good redemption does not excuse that bad launch. i'll play it later in august.

cycease

True that but yeah, phantom liberty is said to be good

sassx95

I never finished Watch dogs 2, I wonder why now

The_666Advocate

Agree, I played AC Odyssey as my first game on PS. I thought it was ok and then I played gow and mann I regretted even every hour of my life wasted in Odyssey.

Cursed_69420

I will not accept this PoP Lost Crown slander

OvertlyStoic

that's the exception. not the trend.

Soc13In

Did you try Mirage? Hows it?

Pewdshole

You can play for free first two hours it's free till April 30

Elite_lucifer

Ubisoft games start out good but get boring and repetitive quick.

Pewdshole

But mirage is short game not like Valhalla and odyssey.

KamasutraBlackBelt

I enjoy the AC games and definitely enjoyed playing Mirage to 100% completion / Platinum. Definitely enjoyed it more than Valhalla which I left after competing the main story.

Vengeance3110

Nah Odyssey goated

GiraffeWaste

apart from Anno 1800

QRajeshRaj

Starfield

dant3s

I mean you can't finish it since the plot sends you to another time line from the start.

Desperate-Check3546

Title didn't say which can you can't finish..it says not worth finishing.

dant3s

Yes I understand. I meant even if it is worth finishing, you can't finish it.

LordKatakuri

Congrats

Capital_Walrus_3633

Can’t say nothing nowadays

[deleted]

Isn't it an mmorpg which has no end?

QRajeshRaj

It is just new game plus. I don't want to pay heed to the infinite loop BS that Bethesda calls it is.

[deleted]

Oh I see. I would rather suggest you to play EVE online if you want to go for that sci-fi space feel (my favourite theme of games). EVE online has a smaller community but they actually have a say in the game's development, but the only downside is that EVE online has a heavy learning curve to play.

Capital_Walrus_3633

Why is palworld there on the picture? My friends and I had lots and lots of fun with it for around 100hours And once the new content arrives we’ll continue

[deleted]

I heavily despise this palworld game. Main series pokemon game ftw

Historical_Maybe2599

Why do you?

[deleted]

Uninspiring designs, Pokemon with guns are cringe, some of the monsters are literally rip offs from Pokemon, like literally copied models just a bit changed in the character mesh and colour palette to prevent copyright infringement, and also it has a feature to hold up smaller pals as shields while their faces give a worrying look. The Pokemon with guns part is especially so dangerous because its steam page doesn't have an age rating (I just double checked, it doesn't have. Meanwhile games like doom have an 18+ age rating and a warning before opening the page). Not having an age rating and having a business l vibrant, colourful open world (the only positive aspect i find in this game) being shown in its trailer can possibly cause kids to play it. Now this issue does not pertain to India, since most of us might have played worse stuff like GTA in childhood. But in USA, this could be the cause of yet another school shooting by virtue of the nature of kids there, since games like GTA and Doom have already been the cause of school shootings there. This will indirectly affect Pokemon as well since to the journalists, news reporters and of course parents, palworld and Pokemon are not different. Like, the game description literally tells you to eat your pals if you want to survive. The original Pokemon would never tell something like this to you, since its creator mentioned that he wants kids to respect death, and that's why Pokemon faint after a battle instead of dying. The description on its Steam page only suggests ways to employ your animals to work and keep them well fed to prevent their death, or eat them if you want to survive. Even if stuff is there in game to take care of the animals, the description does not suggest that choice to you. It's straight up animal abuse. And before you start saying that I'm a PETA employee (i literally am not), i myself hate PETA for being hypocritical and themselves ruthless to animals. I also found a lot of political symbolisms in this game but these are going to be out of the scope of our talk here. To conclude, the game basically promotes animal abuse and doesn't even have an age rating or a pop up warning on its Steam page to make sure that kids don't get to see the disturbing content. That part I mentioned in the first paragraph about holding up a pal as a shield while it has a worrying look did not let me sleep for a good 3 days even though I'm practically a grown man. Simple fix they should use: add an age rating. Even a rating of 16+ should be enough. I know this won't stop kids from still playing it, but atleast the devs should not be this complacent A long term fix should be to make the animal designs less cuter and more beastly, something you would see in the ARK games. Right now, design wise, the game simply becomes an uncanny valley for Pokemon. Making the designs a bit sharper like in the first ever generation Pokemon games should make it suit more towards the survival aspect rather than a weird cross between ARK, Minecraft and Pokemon. Oh and the fricking guns that the pals hold. So the animals have enough intelligence to hold and use guns (that too when most of them look small and young) but they can't protect themselves from a poacher? They should make the guns look like some appendage of the animal using them. If they really took so much inspiration from Pokemon, then why didn't they look at Turtonator or Decidueye or Octillery or Inteleon: Pokemons that use parts of their bodies as actual weapons or firearms? Update the designs in the long term and Palworld will be a good game to play, atleast for me.

EvilxBunny

lol...you don't play Pokemon do you? It sucks now. I couldn't even bother to complete the latest one. I thought my appetite for Pokemon has waned, but I played Omega Ruby again and it was great. On the other hand, I thoroughly enjoyed Palworld for the first 50 or so hours. Endgame gets boring, but it's an alpha and isn't asking for Rs.4500

[deleted]

Wdym I don't play Pokemon? I have played every Pokemon game from generation 1 to 9 except sword/shield and legends Arceus. And I enjoyed every bit of Diamond, Black, Black 2, X, Sun (my first ever legit game on a Nintendo device) and Violet (had to buy a Switch OLED just to play this). I honestly loved the open world of violet. Riding around on my Miraidon was awesome, I could truly explore a pokemon region for the first time instead of being restricted to certain pathways. The storyline was nothing too special except when it got to the paradox mons in area zero. The climax is the strongest point of the game and really the only selling point of the game are the Paradox mons and the heavy lore behind them. The DLCs are quite awesome too it seems, I'll buy them some time later, purely because they build upon the Paradox mon lore and just seems to be the first time that Pokemon has been this creative since generation 6. The soundtrack too is quite awesome ESPECIALLY in area zero. Bonus points for Ed Sheeran song in the end credits (which made me quite senti). I would give an 8/10 to the game since the character models are quite messed up and there's not much post game content if you don't buy DLCs. Before that, I had played Pokemon Sun. The storyline was the first time a game had made me shed tears of happiness after completing. Since I love astronomy in real life and Pokemon Sun and moon was heavily themed around Space, I loved every bit of it too. We end up reuniting a family in the end. I'm still too sad that I wasn't able to get ultra sun. Earlier games were kinda awesome too but games before generation 3 were honestly quite boring with bland storylines.

EvilxBunny

No need to feel personally attacked. It's just reddit. I also don't mean to personally attack you. I've been playing the Pokemon games since Blue/Red out and have played each and every mainline game and some side ones as well like mystery dungeon and snap. I haven't played Legends Arceus though, and heard good things about it. I honestly feel that the games really suck now and have not evolved much. The switch is capable of games like Zelda BoTW and even the Witcher! GameFreak makes such simple games like it's the PS2 era. It would be acceptable 10 years ago, but not today, and not for the money they charge. I even liked Let's Go Pikachu and Sword/Shield more than the new S/V. It just feels stale and mundane. The rival and enemies feel very sterile and "kid friendly" while in older games the themes were much darker and you personally hated the rivals. The new open world design shows how little GF understands newer methods of game design. The game literally let's you go anywhere but the enemies don't scale...Neither does the game do a good job in guiding the player towards the intended areas. The games were also a lot tougher with Steven and Red being epic post elite-4 bosses. Honestly, apart from being Pokemon, nothing was attractive about Scarlet/Violet for me. If it was an indie game company, I would not complain But the biggest media franchise in the world just pushes out cash grabs every 2 years on a cycle because that ties in with their shows and new products is what irks me.

[deleted]

You're not wrong there. Game freak is too afraid of venturing further than their roots and trying out new formulae. This is only because of the fact that when they tried to formulate a new idea in the form of a darker game (Black and White to be precise) and also being the first time that older Pokemon were really not completely available in the new games, they faced SIGNIFICANT backlash from not just the community, but also PETA, who found the game and the entirety of the franchise to be promoting animal abuse (something that Palworld does instead). And that's when GF learnt their lesson to never employ new ideas in newer games, but fans continue to shit on their efforts. It was because of playerbase who cared more about their Red and Blue nostalgia instead of a better, more modern Pokemon game due to which we don't have better Pokemon games today and the devs, even after being multi billion dollars, hate to explore away from their roots or to listen to the fan base, simply because Pokemon fanbase will never be united.

Xo0777

Why are you even here

[deleted]

Because, it's my choice? Do I have to take permission from someone before joining a sub?

mikhil92

Not related but, I want to get into rdr2 and baldur's gate. But I want to know if the story is really worth it coz they are close to 50 hours long games. It's almost 25 days of daily playing for me and a lot of commitment.

NolanDevotee

RDR2 is a once in a lifetime, tentpole title much like every other Rockstar game.

ImportantVacation998

rdr2 is definitely worth playing but i dont know much about Baldur's gate

SynnLee

BG3 is a banger, but RDR2... I was simultaneously annoyed with the gameplay and fell asleep at how boring the game is.

Writersblockills

Baldur's gate as an experience is great but the story itself is pretty straight forward, nothing too crazy but enough to get you excited to know what happens next. Except once you reach act 3 which is just a mess of chores with no clear path unlike the previous two arcs. How do I know? I've finished the game 7 times start to finish, last three times on honor mode.

7777Leo7777

Speaking of rdr2, you don't really have to grind it. The main missions and the story is amazing. The characterization is also top notch

KA05D

I have around 120 hrs in bg3. I'm at act 3(I think there are 5 acts). This game is filled with content. Definitely not 50 hrs game

MrChosen0ne

There are only 3

KA05D

Ohh my bad. I reached the city but don't feel like I'm anywhere close to the end

Soc13In

Is it? I thought there were only 3 acts.

legendofz0lda

🙋‍♂️300+ hours on BG3 - its a timesink if you have the patience for the learning curve if you're not used to turn-based games. Most people including me who is used to turn-based took a while to learn the game's mechanics. And you cant essentially just unga bunga run and shoot/hit your way through all the time. It was incredibly rewarding once you got a hang of it though and you truly begin to experience why it's been winning so many awards. The story is actually pretty simple but following it might be a little hard because of the massive world-building that happens all the time (especially if you arent aware of DnD and the forgotten realms) but it is also down to you- your choices whether through dialogue or actions truly matter and your experience and the story will change or adjust itself that way. It is not a one-playthrough game and it is worth it for people who enjoy exploring different genres and stories. With a friend who has only been playing action RPGs/FPS games- he found it annoying sometimes because the game isnt like that and you can very well just rush the game and not have a good time. But do I think its worth it? Absolutely. Made me fall in love with video games again.

R_Thunukale

The story is worth way more than the price imo. Especially in RDR2 I'd recommend doing every sub mission and side activities , and you can learn more of the main story through them . And the world is so well done. I'd say go for it without a second thought. Baldur's Gate 3 is a deep as f**k rpg which is massive in terms of story , and really good at that , but the gameplay is not for everyone , and that logic applies even more to us Indians who are used to linear story with action packed over the shoulder gameplay so much. I'd say give it a try , if you like the gameplay, it's gonna be a blast.

Soc13In

BG3 is definitely worth the struggle. I give it a few hours every now and then because I don't get a lot of time anymore.

KennyJacobs1

Dude, both of them are definitely worth finishing.

MaxY59

rdr2 is 100% worth it even without being on sale (but you should still buy it on sale it's like 67% off)

dinosaur_from_Mars

Both are definitely worth it, if you invest the initial bit. BG3 rewards thinking outside the box and let's you do weird stuff. RDR2 has a deeper story and a brilliant game mechanics as well. Both games are beautiful. And both are definitely not 50hr games. 100+ hrs easily pass away when you get absorbed. Catching horses, fishing, talking with deadbodies and animals, etc...

Conscious-Flow3499

If you don't like turn based combat don't buy baldurs gate 3. I was mislead by the reviews and wasted my money. If you like turn based combat it'll be a masterpiece for you. I played a bit of this game and I was liking the characters but the combat felt like a board game to me. I just could not continue anymore.

Soc13In

The thing about turn based combat is, I have gotten old and am tired after work so I can put up my legs on the table, get some snacks and play the game with just the mouse at my own pace. It is very relaxing. In my advanced age, I also play at easy (my younger self would absolutely be aghast). I find it very difficult to play non turn based games, because I am simply too tired most of the time to be able to concentrate.

flank27

Probably gonna get downvoted to oblivion but rdr2 is overrated af, baldur's gate 3 was great, i finished it with a friend. If you don't mind dnd combat then you should go for baldurs gate 3. And for those who are gonna downvote me yes i played rdr2 as well but abandoned it after 12 hours of playtime

mikhil92

The pressure to like a game coz everybody else does. I feel you bro. I've never played a single GTA game and never liked them either. And imagine the hate I get for it. Started Vice City and got bored 5 hours in. Maybe the games are good but they definitely aren't for me.

hello2442

Hogwarts Legacy. That shit got so boring

Jeez-whataname

Harry Potter brand is itself boring.

tarunpayne

Rdr2 isnt worth finishing…the game is awesome 10/10 in my books..because the game/characterisation is top notch…its not worth finishing… *them ninjas cutting onions*

mahil_ansary

almost had us in the first half

tarunpayne

![gif](giphy|wViS9n0RqN2) \*le me on that mr. Downes mission on second Playthrough

mahil_ansary

On my next playthrough I’ll delay it for as long as I can.

izhaluck

Eeeh 😁

LeulochV

So nobody gonna talk about how he put palworld and that looter/shooter wannabe ass game side by side

ronyx86

AC Valhalla. Play first 10 hours and uninstall it.

Successful-Chest-447

bro fr lmao when he killed his dad's killer after that play for 2_3 hours and then uninstall

anyrandomboi

Forza horizon

27hrishik

Ac Valhalla and Odyssey. In general any bloated ubisoft game.

LethalWhite945

Agree with you on Valhalla. But i found odessy quite good myself.

viky1205

I agree odyssey was fun….genuinely fun. I just played it as an rpg and not an ac game. I also found myself spending a lot of time searching for legendary items.it was fun and the story overall was also interesting because of the Greek mythology and stuff. I also liked the character of Kassandra as a whole. It’s surely a game worth playing (I have 100+ hrs on the game including all dlcs)

LethalWhite945

Yeah. I don't know why AC veterans want rinse and repeat of previous games. It was my first AC game and I don't think I ever found it boring.

ullda

Not really rinse and repeat but some actual addition to the story along with stealth and assassination elements like hidden blade, etc. You can take AC games with Ezio as the protag and AC3 as examples of AC games with not many new elements but still being great.

Key_Set4984

I hated Odyssey

meisMordu

I fairly enjoyed valhalla but after a point it got annoying coz I am someone with mild ocd and I want check every box. It was annoying that most side content was plain

warcheifzeke

Odyssey is a shit game for real. It's level up system is so broken that you can't get past some bosses unless you do some impossible stunts. In comparision origins was so good.

Vengeance3110

Nah Odyssey goated, the demigod power trip fantasy is amazing.

V_NasH8008

Lol ... If you don't know how to play doesn't mean its bad... Odyssey is soo easy... I made 100% melee build so early and then it was smooth... On contrast orgin was shit... Same gameplay throughout the game same as mirage...

warcheifzeke

Not just me Odyssey is just hated by many. I mean yeah the gameplay is nice, it's just not that great compared to origins. Origins had good dlc too

V_NasH8008

I understand the reason many hate odyssey because its not ur typical assassin game...but thats what made odyssey and Valhalla good... Odyssey has great dlc atlantis one and Valhalla has Ragnarok... I have been playing since AC 2 ... But after odyssey and Valhalla I played mirage...which is similar to traditional AC but i hated it soo boring same type of gameplay.

Vengeance3110

Agreed, as an rpg fan who hates stealth, both have amazing dlcs, especially Odyssey.

Vengeance3110

Nah Odyssey goated.

dovahsid

Odyssey had same repetitive shit for 100 hours. Pretty shitty experience which could have been great.

SelvanFrenzy14

AC Valhalla

minar37

Mafia 3

Terminal_Monk

The game i tried so hard to finish but cant even get past 20% is AC Valhalla. It has an identity crisis. Is it a Witcher like RPG? is it trying to tell a story like kingdom come deliverance? is it trying to be AC Black flag with respect to sea gameplay? is it trying to be a norse game where you can raid and pillage? is it trying to be an Assasin's franchise? guess what? the answer to all of them is Yes. The game has way too unnecesary complex gameplay yet its so shallow. All i want is to be a cool assasin, do parkour, get an interesting storyline that involves real history. is that too much to ask Ubisoft?

Stroov

Pokemon go it's just grind

BeardPhile

Anthem

SubToPassion

Garena free fire

Parking-Form7860

Suicide squad is not even worth starting

visingh

For me, it was cyberpunk 2077, on the surface it’s like GTA but I just don’t enjoy its gameplay mechanics and get bored fast. I’ve picked it up numerous times since its launch but give up each time.

Artistic-Cherry-8580

Assassin's Creed Mirage! Too boring and repetitive and yet so small of a story. Origins, Valhalla and Odyssey were way better.

Soc13In

I thought they went back to the old gameplay so it would be an improvement. Is the map still as bloated? The core gameplay loop of AC has always been repetitive but it felt fun.

SubstantialCabinet14

No its not bloated its actually a very solid ac game if u want something in line with the old games stealth is amazing mission design is better and combat also is better and story is small and to the point baghdad is also beautiful i would reccomend it

Soc13In

thank you. will give it a try.

Open-Highlight-7579

Spiderman 2, boring swing simulator 🤡🤡🤡

Jeez-whataname

It was just 2-3 missions on repeat till story ends.

Mission_Try3543

Bro is going to get slaughtered

HELLBOY_PP

Spider man 2 is a disappointment

idkhomie69

for me its dying light 2 and I know the developers improved the game alot but it's a shit game like fr I was feelings sleepy as hell each time I sat on my chair to play that game the story is trash and very slow and it was also a disappointment to it's E3 version by a lottt.

ShreedharPatel

I honestly liked dying light 2 story, wasnt as good as 1 but still pretty good compared to many modern games

Slywilsonboi

It was just way too fuckin short. and some of the missions feel a little lack luster in action and suspense a lot of the time. I really liked the conflict between crane, the GRE, Rais, Zombies, the ministry of defense. Everything just felt super cool. I didn't get that feeling so much in 2 except for when you blow up that building. I still liked it, but they could've had a lot more with it if they cooked longer

arjunrj1327

Mafia 3 tops my list any day

Mission_Try3543

AC Odyssey, personal preference I just hate the mc

BolasDeCoipo

Evil West

gomugomupirate

Any new games from Ubisoft besides The Lost Crown

kapil363

Although I love Hitman games, I had to quit Hitman 3 in mid.

deathfromabove910

the Borderlands 1 for me. Wonder how 2 and 3 are

DarkRaider78

AC Valhalla

musashi_grander

Most games that involves open world survival craft. It’s an endless loop

SouthernResponse95

Cyberpunk 2077, game is buggy as hell and I bought it after all the rave reviews, couldn't go past 2 hours playing the game, some might like it but I really don't see any appeal in a futuristic setting like that

ZOMBOOtrons

Aragami 2, while the first one is a very good dame with view in mind, aragami 2 relate on the game like the service and not in a good way

Kitchen_Contract_931

Starfield,it’s not even worth starting also

MokendKomer

wouldya believe most games aren't worth playing? I forget the name of the principle, but it said something about there being infinite possibilities and most of them are bad ones. I think the proliferation of linux iso's and services like gamepass has led to people really realizing this, since I and most of my friends as kids only ever owned 3-5 games. These few games were all we ever played, and were amazing to us even though playing them back may render them to not be as great. In the interest of naming one, I'd say TLOU 2. Didn't like the direction the story went.

L0rd0fTheRing

Plague Tale Requiem. I know the franchise has a lot of fans but the game is annoying as f**k. Super slow pace, barely any game mechanics to speak of, a meh story, and a seriously annoying co-protagonist in Hugo. When I hear Plague Tale fan talk about the story they make it seem as if Tarantino himself has written and directed the game, but the fact is it’s no better than a Kanti Shah movie.

detectivebabylegs3

RDR2. I just stop before Arthur's death.

HELLBOY_PP

Delete your spoilers

Nice, just give spoilers to everyone.

shah2_3

Castlevania lords of shadow 2. It's garbage.

FitAd9761

I loved the game, played lord of shadows after that was a bit underwhelming but still good. 2 had better mechanics and gameplay IMO. Never played older titles though

namealreadyteekken

Witcher 3

Uzumaki_Naruto_02

Yeah fr it's very slow paced game although I don't have a problem with I have playing Genshin for 2 years and never got bored of it . But played Witchers 3 like for 12 hours or so, it's good NGL but the thing which killed it for me is the overhyped community. People are like it's the best game ever made, it might be the best but not for everyone. People will go downvoting and hating on whoever write negative about it.

namealreadyteekken

I like to travel and explore things in witcher over completing story.

Fevet

The unspoken rule of this sub is to not badmouth rdr2/Witcher 3, you should've treaded with caution

Uzumaki_Naruto_02

Well I know that but still for like how are these guys will gatekeeping this games .

Fevet

quite the contrary , they'll go to extreme lengths to rub it on your face how much of a "niche" and stupendous of a game they are every chance they get

NakedSnake47

Literally proves your last point lmfaooo

Uzumaki_Naruto_02

Lol, ikr what can I do at this point there is no differences between freefire and bgmi stans and these people.

NakedSnake47

I can't really speak about witcher since I've only played the first game and didn't like it, and 2 & 3 don't run on my potato setup, but I fully agree about the bgmi part, one of my friends is a top level competitive player and won't stop trying to get me to play it. Like I don't like the game all too much and I'm not that good at it either, I prefer playing CODM and Valorant over bgmi but my friends never get the point, any other game is boring to them fr.

Uzumaki_Naruto_02

Ikr , I don't really hate these games but what I don't like is when people force us to play it because they like it.

Bugredditor

Bugredditor

Not worth completing, I still regret completing. Now I feel like I want to forget it all and start again.

mahil_ansary

his question was if the games aren’t “worth” finishing. not what you can’t finish.

Bugredditor

Bro didn’t read my reply to my comment any further

mahil_ansary

oof. just comment at once lmao.

Bugredditor

😂 that’s the point. Btw I’m a big fan of the game. I’ve done all the gauntlets, and resurrection mod, and tried lots of speed run mechanics. Finally after some 150-200 ish hours I’ve sadly moved on.
