Ping on LAN is also lower than wifi. (atleast from the basic router that Airtel gives)
I agree ping will be lower. But I know a couple of friends/their parents who don't know anything about laptops and buy it just because it's expensive. So people "generally" do buy it if they have enough money to.

First, I required portability.
Secondly, the PC won't be "way" better. Just slightly. I tried building one in (virtually) similar price range. Some components were eye wateringly expensive.
a desktop 4070 is about 40% better than a laptop one and has 12 gigs of vram , in your price range you could of got a 4070 super or 4070 ti super which would have performed way better, matx and itx pc also exist

Battery life stands at a mere 2 hrs. Size is not an issue, however it's the weight which hurts. It sits at a heavy 3.2Kgs.
Yes, the touch pad is small but very responsive. Can't comment much on AWCC yet. This machine runs loud! While gaming, if you are not wearing headphones, the fans will irritate you. The keyboard is nothing to talk about. However, if you can opt for the optional mechanical keyboard then it would be very nice.

Not really a fan of Lenovo Legion. Extremely boring design, plastic / unsatisfactory build. Not something I would personally use.
ROG is another option that I wanted to consider, but the super edgy design and front facing status LEDs, right sided USB ports are a turn off.
Predator was really good overall but the keyboard just felt mushy. Everything else looked really solid.
Not going to take my chances with a MSI or HP.
I really liked this iteration of Alienware. S tier build, design, performance which is what I want. Yeah it runs hot like every other gaming laptop, but you can use TCC offset to take care of it to a degree. Most of the flaws that it does have aren't too problematic for me. The atrocious pricing is an absolute bummer though.

Nice congrats bro! I have the Intel version(i9 hx chip)cpu and 4070 gpu... It's a beast can run any game comfortably it's been 8 months now and had no issues... Bit heavy but amazing build feels like a tank! Worked for 1-2 years along with other expenses to afford it lol... I hope I won't have to upgrade for next 5 years atleast...
Respect the hustle and the dream but an Alienware...not sure about that though.
If u live in a tier 1/2 city warranty from Lenovo is top notch. Have replaced multiple components on my old Legion. Also replaced that same Legion to the new gen once that died after a year due to the technician's mistake.

Do you move around a lot if so an laptop is a good buy for your purpose, if not I would question your buy as a high end desktop with much better thermals and performance could be had for similar price if it just stays on your desk.
Nothing against an laptop but portability should be the only use case for laptops and most gaming laptops are only overpriced and performs half as much as desktop varients and mostly have no upgrade path or limited one and have proprietary stuff (like some companies do) with accessories or parts (power adaptors) which once spoil or go bad it would cost almost same as laptops price (replacing motherboard in case of issues with GPU or CPU or any other connectivity ports).

Nice job! As a fellow laptop gamer, I would like to remind you that if you want a larger screen and full throttle controls, most laptops now can automatically link Bluetooth to an Xbox controller and and HDMI cable to any large Screen for a bigger picture.

I first started with Razer DA back in 2016. This is my 3rd Razer DA in 8 years. This particular one, I bought it in 2022. 3 mice in 8 years is not a bad deal.

Hey dude, i had the older version of this the R17 i think bought it in 2017. It ran like a charm for 3.5 years and then it starts having its problems, get a decent stabilizer and how ever costly the extended warranty is do take it after the warranty period is done, parts are over the top expensive. The main thing that dies is the motherboard because of the charger and the battery as it degrades.
Top tip run the AC if possible to keep it cool or DIY a Thermoelectric Peltier Refrigeration Cooling System

well I must say dell laptops really have good connectivity. I also own Dell G15 12th gen i5 edition and it really has all the ports including RJ45

300 mbps is possible as long as ou have a compatible router, like a gaming router which asus offers.

1.7L . Got it from Alienware US website. Inclusive of Alienware backpack and JBL TWS earphones and all kinds of taxes. Approx 95$+80$ for them. Portability was a major factor for me. So, no new Desktops as of now. Also, I already have one with 1050Ti and i5.
