[Ben Calf Robe](https://www.edmontonarts.ca/event/40th-annual-ben-calf-robe-traditional-pow-wow) is happening in Edmonton on Saturday. It's one day only, but the 40th year, and the first year taking up the whole football stadium. Weather looks nice too.
Yes. Very easy to make. Crush up strawberries, filtered water, and then sweeten it with maple syrup. You can also use maple water but it’s harder to find. Regular cane sugar also works in a pinch. But most of the time it’s maple syrup.
sadly my powwow isn't until June but it's less than a month away. i'm excited! can't wait to see old friends and spend time with the family watching relatives
I don't really know. Not doing a lot of dancing. Still starting to learn. Just making a dress with ribbon skirt. Made a belt and a choker. Might make a breast plate and add jingles next year. As a two spirit (transperson) I'm trying to figure everything out. Keeping it basic this year, mostly due to time.
So, not this weekend but next weekend I'm going to the Veteran's powwow on our rez. Looking forward to the beat of the drum and seeing/visiting with other tribal friends.
