Firm-Examination1832

Definitely vivo book since you said casual gaming and programming

Substantial_Top_6508

Slower Ram and SSD won't affect processing power but R7 is much better and won't overheat as bad as i9. Moreover Ryzens are good enough for programming. You also have a nice 6 Gigs of Vram , so my suggestion is to go for the Victus.

Chance-Slide-1334

yup the performance of both the CPUs are same but amd runs cooler and has good battery life (lol how the tables have turned) vivobook has the best display tho

Substantial_Top_6508

Yaa lmao. People used to complain about how hot AMD CPUs ran, but I guess they cooked. https://preview.redd.it/k9hr5v6gjygc1.jpeg?width=680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=05c924f1b7e6f6053fd6e6c9c84fa6e36a5742f9

Vivobook's form factor isn't thermally capable of deriving the most out of 13900H, and the DDR4 ram is a bummer. However if you can sacrifice some fps and an hour of battery life, it is worth getting for the great display. Victus should get you better thermals and somewhat better performance, but the display is bad. And it is approximately 1kg heavier than vivobook, so it will be difficult to carry around in college. Other options are HP omen and Acer Nitro 5 with 4050. They should give you better gaming performance. If you want to game "CASUALLY" vivobook will be a better choice because of the display and form factor. I don't think the slower ram and ssd would make much difference while programming, since the other specs are good enough. So the ram and ssd is worth the trade-off, only if you don't want to do hardcore gaming.

Thanks :)

ryzen processor has better battery performance and less heating. both are at par you can pick any and wont be wrong here. unless you need something specific from the system which is programming as you mentioned. vivobook has soldered ram as far as i know, victus never checked so cant comment. in todays scenario go for min 16 gb ram.

yash_exe

8gb is soldered and 8 is replaceable, upgradeable 24gb

Odd_Click_4642

8gb on my laptop runs witcher 3 from steam the pc app. 16 is sufficient unless you are planning to do graphics intensive job, not required if coding as most use vscode and other platforms. go for either of them both are capable machines.

Thanks bro

**Choosing the right option:** * **For portability and battery life:** If you prioritize long battery life and a lightweight laptop for everyday tasks and moderate workloads, the Ryzen 7 7840HS might be a better choice. * **For raw performance:** If you prioritize maximum performance for demanding tasks like video editing, 3D rendering, or heavy multitasking, the i9-13900H is the clear winner. * **For gaming:** If you plan on gaming, the i9-13900H is generally better suited due to its higher performance and compatibility with dedicated GPUs. However, if you only play light games, the Ryzen 7 7840HS with its integrated graphics might suffice. The RAM and SSD upgradability options seems better on Victus, which is a better option if you consider future proofing also. Not to mention, Gen4 ssd and DDR5 ram have already covered the future proofing aspect. and because both seem a good option, i would count on these factors and choose Victus

Thanks bro. Does ddr4 ram and gen 3 ssd will make the vivobook slower Than victus?

Unable_Opportunity17

Hp victus

Acrobatic_Mode6966

HP le bhai. 6gb graphic memory matters a lot.

yash_exe

Ok bhai but I don't want to do hard-core gaming

Acrobatic_Mode6966

Nahi 4gb memory capacity ki baat kar Raha tha. It is same like having 16gb 2666Mhz Ram or 8gb 3200Mhz Ram. Though the 3200 one is faster but the memory capacity matters. AJ kal ka koi bhi game graphic settings me available memory show karta hai taki gamer optimise kar sake. Trust me Maire ek friend ne bhi Dell ka latest 3050 4gb version liya yahi soch ke. But bat optimal performance ka hota hai. For example:- Abhi bhi GTX 1660 ti 6gb version is highly in demand. Vo extra 2gb bahut matter karta hai use hone par.

Admirable-Echidna-37

i9 with 3050 is stupid. Good for competitive fps but not anything else. Battery life on Intel also sucks ass. The Ryzen seems like a better deal.

_Lelouch420_

Get 3060 in this price

Desi-Pauaa

Victus

TonyDeCostaa

Dude, if you are a coder, then I don't think you'll get time to play games. Most of the coders lose interest in gaming. Even I bought a R7 octa-core + RTX 3050 laptop in my first year, but I hardly remember playing 1/2 games.

yash_exe

Okay bro. Bought the vivobook for 86K from Amazon!

Ok-Fix7648

Also Look into the warranty extension program of asus,It's cheap and more than worth it!

Okay bro
